Journal DaFIna : Journal Deutsch als Fremdsprache in Indonesien is an electronic journal managed by the Department of German Literature at the State University of Malang which contains articles in both Indonesian and foreign languages. Articles contained in the form of analysis, study, application of theory, results of research, and discussion of literature with the following scope: 1) DaF (Deutsch als Fremdsprache) / learning German as a foreign language, especially in Indonesia, but does not rule out the possibility of themes same from other countries; 2) Germanistic / Deutsche Linguistics / linguistics in German and its teaching; 3) Deutsche Literatur / German literature and its teaching; 4) Übersetzung / German translation and teaching; and 5) related themes, for example a) Tourism / tourism management for German-speaking foreign tourists and their teaching and b) Deutschkurs / management of German language courses and teaching.

Abstract

Linguistik London atau linguistik aliran Firthian merupakan salah satu aliran linguistik yang cukup berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan linguistik secara umum. Aliran linguistik London pada awalnya menitik beratkan bidang fonetik dan fonologi. Dalam perkembangannya, konteks situasi, fonologi prosodi, dan kolokasi juga menjadi kajiannya. Pengaruh aliran Firthian terhadap Germanistik tampak pada tataran morfologi dan fonologi prosodi. Pada mulanya, pembahasan morfologi dalam Germanistik pada zaman itu dititikberatkan pada korespondensi sistematis antara bentuk dan makna, tetapi kemudian seiring perkembangan linguistik juga dibahas secara fonologis dan secara khusus pada aspek prosodi. Kiranya, dapat dicermati juga pengaruh-pengaruh lainnya untuk melengkapi informasi sebelumnya oleh para Germanisten atau pemerhati Germanistik.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the learning process by using “Melanjutkan Cerita” technique and to know the response of German Literature students in the Universitas Negeri Malang on this learning technique. The learning technique of “Melanjutkan Cerita” is one of language learning techniques that can be used to train speaking skill as well as to re-activate students’ understanding about grammatical theory that have been learned. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive with verbal data. The subjects of this research are 24 students from offering A of German Literature Department in the Universitas Negeri Malang, academic year of 2015 and 2016. Data collection is conducted by observation and questionnaire with the instruments of observation and questionnaire sheets. The results show that the implementation of “Melanjutkan Cerita” technique in Konversation II course running well. The respondents also stated that this learning technique can help them to improve their German speaking skill.

Abstract

Era teknologi mengubah wajah pendidikan dan pembelajaran bahasa. Layanan jejaring sosial populer Facebook menjadiinovasi pembelajaran bahasa di berbagai benua.Jejaring sosial Facebook mulai digunakan sebagai sarana belajar bahasa. Penggunaan fitur layanan jejaring sosial Facebook seperti teks, pranala, gambar, video hingga laman grup menciptakan ruang komunikasi mutakhir antara guru dan siswa. Jalinan komunikasi antara guru dan siswa mulai memasuki dimensi baru. Guru dan siswa mengemban tanggung jawab dalam pemanfaatan media sosial sebagai sarana belajar mandiri. Guru mengambil peran penting sebagai tutor penggunaan jejaring sosial. Keleluasaan penggunaaan jejaring sosial memberikan dampak positif bagi siswa.Melalui fitur-fitur canggih jejaring sosial Facebook, siswa dapat aktif mengembangkan penguasaan keterampilan bahasa kedua. Tantangan penggunaan media sosial dalam pembelajaran bahasa pertama datang dari karakteristik bahasa pengguna Facebook di Indonesia. Walaupun demikian, penggunaan sosial media dalam pembelajaran bahasa baik bahasa pertama maupun bahasa kedua melahirkansumber pembelajaran baru yang inovatif bagi perkembangan proses pembelajaran bahasa.Kata kunci: media sosial, jejaring sosial Facebook, pembelajaran bahasa

Abstract

Sebagian besar orang masih berpendapat bahwa belajar bahasa asing itu sangatlah sulit. Tidak terkecuali untuk bahasa Jerman.  Oleh karena itu, menjadi tantangan besar bagi pengajar bahasa Jerman untuk menemukan metode pembelajaran yang menarik agar siswa tidak merasa kesulitan belajar bahasa Jerman. Salah satu metode pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan adalah metode role playing atau bermain peran.  Penggunaan metode role playing ini selain mengajarkan ilmu juga membuat siswa aktif serta memberikan unsur senang dalam belajar. Sehingga siswa dapat merasa bahwa belajar bahasa Jerman itu menyenangkan dan merasa tertarik untuk mempelajarinya. Metode pembelajaran role playing juga melatih siswa untuk bisa berkomunikasi dan bersosialisasi dengan lingkungan disekitarnya. Dengan berperan sebagai orang lain atau menjadi sesuatu siswa dapat merasa berada di dunia yang sedang di perankan.

Abstract

This study attempts to described understanding students in learning lecture evaluation of teaching language germany with using a technique visualize. Methods used in research is descriptive quantitative method. An instrument used the video visualize, material exercise, questionnaires and documents. Material test competence language productive, receptive and literature presented in the form of video .The contents of material displayed with a variation of color, size of letters, a picture, illustrations and audio. The result of research is third of the material well understood by students because display visualizations served interesting and clear, The preparation of a groove material well furnished by example and training make the material into more easily understood.

Abstract

Tokoh tukang kebun dalam novel Heimsuchung karya Jenny Erpenbeck dikaji dengan pendekatan  New Historis  karena sang tokoh muncul dan selalu ada dalam rentang 100 tahun,t okoh ini selalu diam dan hanya berbicara dengan tanama dan menghilang. Kajian New Historism/NH menghubungkan teks sastra dengah teks non sastra dalam kajian sejarah budaya dan sosial.  Perbedaan NH dengan kajian sastra lainnya terletak pada cara pandangnya yang melihat sejarah sebagai suatu yang tidak netral, karena sejarah telah didekonstruksi oleh kepentingan sosial budaya pada masa sekarang sehingga menjadi suatu teks yang baru.Kata Kunci: New Historism, novel, tokoh utama, tukang kebun

Abstract

Abstract: This research is conducted by the purpose to describe the effectiveness of the acceleration program in German Department of State University of Malang, the perception and also the projection of acceleration program students about the program. This study uses correlational-quantitative research method. The research instruments used are in the form of documentation of student learning result and questionnaire sheets. The analysis conducted i.e. normality test, homogeneity variance test, independent t-test and Mann Whitney test. Furthermore, interpretation and discussion of data is being established. Based on the results of the data analysis, it is concluded that the acceleration program runs effectively. The learning achievement of students from acceleration program appears higher compared with students from non-acceleration program. However, even an effective programs do not escape the shortcomings and advantages. Based on the results of the questionnaire filled by students from acceleration program (the questionnaire in this case is not the main focus of hypothesis testing), it is known that acceleration students are very enthusiastic and convinced that they will graduate soon by this program. However, during the process of the program, found that the confidence of respondents began to decrease and afterwards emerging problems that felt inhibit them. Keywords: learning achievement, acceleration program, PASCH, German department, German language

Abstract

This study is aimed to give description about the use of allegory in order to know its politeness principle. They shown from news article Deutsche Welle titled Komentar: Demokratie ist mehr als nur ein #Hashtag. The problems encountered in the field are: there is not only an allegory that could be shown up but also from pragmatic side, which is maxims of politeness principle. Thus, the problems are formulated as follow: 1)What kind of allegory that shown in the article? 2)How is the use of allegory from its maxims of politeness principle in the article?. The kind of study is descriptive that uses qualitative approach. The subject of study is one news article. The result of study shown that are irony, sarcasm and satire in allegory and also one retoric style. It also shown how they allow and also break the maxims of politeness principle The conclusion is the news shown how the writer talk loudly with her irony, sarcasm, satire and retoricsm style that break the pragmatics maxims of politeness principle. The youth still do not get into Brexit even the government has announce the referendum itself.

Abstract

This research is aimed to develope a test instrument based on curriculum 2013 with Alltagsleben theme for XIth Language class program in second semester. The development strategy in this research is strategy by Cennamo and Kalk. The developed test is a test to assess the reading comprehension, grammar and vocabulary ability of the students. There are some kinds of texts in the test that have different word amount. The short texts consist of 20 until 47 words and the students need 30 until 45 seconds to understand each text. Besides, the moderate texts consist of 57 until 82 words. The students need a minute to understand each text. The long texts consist of 114 until 126 words. The students need two minutes to understand each text. After the test has been developed, the test and items quality have been reviewed by experts  and a trial has been held to check the readability, item difficulty, item discrimination, distractors‘ function and reliability of the test. The result is a test that has 54 items with good quality, 0,71  coefficient of validity and 0,863 coefficient of reliability.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran kollaboratives Schreiben dengan EduPad beserta hasil penerapannya. Model pembelajaran kollaboratives Schreiben melatih kemampuan menulis bahasa Jerman mahasiswa dengan cara menulis secara kolaboratif dalam kelompok yang telah ditentukan. Dalam proses menulis oleh kelompok, mahasiswa dapat saling bekerja sama dengan cara saling mengoreksi, menambahkan dan mengurangi, memperbaiki, dan berdiskusi dengan teman lainnya, sehingga tercipta suatu karya yang telah disepakati oleh seluruh anggota kelompok. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dari penelitian ini adalah 20 mahasiswa Jurusan Sastra Jerman Angkatan 2015 kelas A. Data pada penelitian ini diperoleh dari observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebanyak dua kali pertemuan karena keterbatasan waktu yang dimiliki oleh peneliti. Pertemuan pertama yakni penerapan model pembelajaran ini dengan kelompok besar, sedangkan pertemuan kedua dengan kelompok yang lebih kecil. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model  pembelajaran kollaboratives Schreiben dengan EduPad membuat proses pembelajaran menyenangkan dan mahasiswa sangat antusias dalam mengerjakan tugas yang diberikan. Dengan menggunakan EduPad, seluruh proses penyusunan Aufsatz dapat terlihat dengan jelas dan dapat diketahui tingkat keaktifan dan kerjasama anggota kelompok. Kendala yang ditemukan dalam penerapan model pembelajaran ini adalah kendala teknis, serta terdapat salah satu mahasiswa yang kurang maksimal mengikuti pembelajaran karena tidak terbiasa bekerja dalam tim. Mahasiswa juga kurang memerhatikan ortografi, koherensi dan tatabahasa dalam menulis karangan. Namun secara keseluruhan karangan mahasiswa sesuai dengan tema Wohnung: Wie wohnt man in Deutschland? dengan materi Beschreibung.Kata Kunci: kollaboratives Schreiben, EduPad, keterampilan menulis
