Abstract

Research conducted an experiment using a completely randomized design environment with four replications, and the design of treatment used is six varieties of sweet corn. Analysis of data using polynomial regression, the parameters measured were plant height, leaf number, leaf length, leaf width, and sugar beans, followed by analyzing the relationship between the growth of plants with a sugar content of sweet corn kernels. The results showed that leaf width gives a weak relationship to the sugar content of sweet corn seed, and leaf length, number of leaves and plant height had a close relationship to the sugar content of sweet corn kernels.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence the economic decisions of the household paddy farmer associated with the production, allocation of working time, income, and expenditure. To answer the purpose of research conducted by econometric approach using a model of simultaneous equations with the method Two Stage Least Square (2SLS). The data used is the 2016 cross section data which obtained by interviewed 45 paddy farmers in the district of Batang Tuaka. The result showed:Firstly, the dominant factor affected production is harvested area. Secondly, the dominant factors affected allocation of working time are income of farming, allocation of working outside the farming, labor force, age of farmers, the experience of farmers, allocation of working time on farming, farmers education, and the other income of farming.Thirdly, the dominant factors affected other income of farming are allocation of working outside the farming, age of farmers, farmers wife education, and labor force. Fourthly, the dominant factors affected expenditure are household total income, family member, health expenditure, number of children school, harvested area, food consumption, household total expenditure, education invesments, and savings.Policy implications that can be taken by the government to develop paddy farming to increase the production of dried paddy in the district of Batang Tuaka is with the improvement and development of infrastructure and facilities of agriculture. The increase in production to push income needs supported by the pricing of dried paddy pro farmers and stabilize the prices of inputs.

Abstract

This study analyses the factors affecting the depth of outreach of Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) of UED-SP at Rambah Sub-district Rokan Hulu District. Factors thought to influence the depth of outreach is age of UED-SP, ROA, percent of trading sector clients, percent of agriculture sector clients and number of woman clients. The sampling method is done using by purposive sampling. This study obtained a sample of twelve UED-SPs in the village at Rambah District from in the period of 2012-2015. The data used is secondary data form pooled data. Data were obtained based on the financial reports of each of the samples. This study uses quantitative approach with analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis with fixed effect method of pooled data that were previously tested with the classical assumption test. Hypothesis testing using t-statistic and the F-statistic with 95% confidence level. Based on the classic assumption test found no variables that deviate. This shows that the available data has been qualified using the linear regression equation model. The results of this study show that depth of outreach are statistically significant infiuenced by age of UED-SP. However, it’s negatively affect on depth of outhreach. Whereas ROA, number of woman borrower, percent of agriculture sector clients and percent of trading sector clients has no affect on depth of outhreach. Predictive ability of these five variables on the depth of outhreach is 77,66 percent, while the 22,34 percent influenced by other factors not included in the research model.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the value chain of catfish agroindustry in Desa Penyesawan, to analyze the value or margin received on each chain involved in salted catfish agro industry and to analyze the added value of catfish salai in Desa Penyesawan. The method of determining the sample using purposive sampling method. With this method got 9 business agent of catin fish salt agroindustry as research sample. Data analysis method used is descriptive method of quantitative and qualitative. The data used in this study is the primary data in the form of questionnaires in the form of questionnaires and secondary data in the form of data obtained from relevant agencies. Result of research indicate that there are 2 pattern of value chain that is pattern I: farmer-perpetrator of business-consumer (19,26) and pattern II: farmer-perpetrator of business-merchant retailer-consumer (10,41). The comparison of marketing efficiency at the same actor level shows that the value chain of pattern II is more efficient than the value chain of pattern I (10.41).

Abstract

Nowadays people are increasingly concerned about the importance of product quality. The use of fertilizers derived from organic materials is believed to bring more benefits to agricultural products where products become healthier, environmentally friendly and can reduce the negative impact of chemicals that are harmful to humans and the environment. Veg mole is expected in addition to its local microorganisms also Nitrogen element content can increase the growth and production of mustard plants. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect and to get a good dose of MOL vegetable waste on the growth and production of mustard plants. The experiment was conducted experimentally using non factorial completely Randomized Design (RAL) consisting of 5 treatment levels and 4 replications to obtain 20 experimental units. Each plot consists of 16 plants and 4 plants as sample. The level of treatment is as follows: Mo: Without giving MOL of vegetable waste, M1: Giving MOL vegetable waste 75 cc / l water, M2: Giving of MOL vegetable waste 150 cc / l water, M3: Giving MOL vegetable waste 225 cc / l water , M4: Giving MOL vegetable waste 300 cc / l waterThe result of this research can be concluded that vegetable MOL has no significant effect on all observed parameters, ie plant height (cm), number of leaf (strands), leaf length (cm), leaf width (cm), wet weight (g) consumption (g).

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of rock phosphate fertilizer with various doses of the production of oil palm fresh fruit bunches. Results from this study is the final conclusion of phosphate rock fertilizer does not affect the measurement of the diameterbuah fresh, fresh fruit weight and number brondolan fall and was advised to continue observation until 6 months after treatment applications in order to look the influence of rock phosphate. Rock Phosphate Fertilizers no real effect on the diameter of oil palm fresh fruit bunches in the cultivation of oil palm trees suggested in this study a longer observation that 6 months.
