Abstract

This study aims to identify marketing channels and market structure pineapple, pineappleanalyzing market behavior and analyzing the performance of pineapple fruit market in thevillage of Kualu Nenas. The data collection method is a survey method. Determination bypurposive sampling of respondents and the formula slovin on pineapple growers as much as33 farmers. Determination of the number of traders, wholesalers and agents agroindustrialdetermined by census where traders, wholesalers and agents agroindustrial taken based on theaccumulation of 33 farmers who sell pineapples to traffickers and agro industry in the villageKualu Nenas, there are 8 traders , 6 wholesalers, and 8 players in the industry. Descriptiveanalysis of data on the market structure and concentration ratio harfindahl index (HI), for thebehavior of markets analyzed by correlation and elasticity of the transmission, and theappearance of markets analyzed by the equation margin trading system. The results showedthe market structure market share, concentration ratios, and HI traders at 0.5469, 54.69%, and0.2990, market share, concentration ratios, and HI wholesalers at 0.6878, 68.78%, and0.4730, and market share, concentration ratios and HI agro-industry amounted to 0.5145,51.45%, and 0.2647 of its market structure among the three is oligopsony. Market behaviorindicates correlation values 0523 and 0515 transmission elasticity analysis. Appearancemarket views on marketing margin is relatively large and is dominated by the great resultsand uneven. Apart from it can be seen also from the uneven distribution margin, the shareprice received by farmers is still relatively low and the ratio of benefits and costs to farmers isstill low. In addition, the bargaining power of farmers is weak because prices are determinedunilaterally by traders, especially on the channel I and channel II while the third channel isrelatively better because of the level of efficiency is lower

Abstract

Agarwood (A. malaccensis Lamk.) is one of the important tropical forest trees, which produces a high economically valuable fragrant resinous wood. The increase of agarwood demand from year to year leads to uncontrolled illegal harvest of this plant from its natural habitat. To encounter this problem, there is an urgent need to develop agarwood plantation. Tissue culture is an alternative method to provide genetically good seedlings for plantation in the future due to its short period and mass quantity of planlet production. In addition, through this method, its might also provide homogenous plant, and free pest and diseases. The objectives of the study were (1) to find out the optimal concentration of BAP or TDZ for inducing shoot multiplication of agarwood in in vitro conditions. MS (Murashige And Skoog, 1962), was used as basal media. The experimental design of the research was completely randomized design (RAL) with treatment of BAP concentration ( control; 0,50 ppm; 0,75 ppm; 1,0 ppm) or TDZ concentration (control; 0,25 ppm; 0,50 ppm; 0,75 ppm), in 3 units, of replicate every units consist of 4 bottles, every bottle containing one explants coming from axillaries and adventitious shoot explants. Results indicated that two types of agarwood explants grown in vitro in MS basal media containing BAP 0,50 ppm or TDZ 0,25 ppm produced the highest number of shoots and leaves of agarwood plantlets, as well as its plantlet shoot length

Abstract

Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq) is one of Indonesia's mainstay plantation commodities and plays an important role for the national economy. Oil palm and plantations managed by state-owned enterprises, this is due to the increasing demand for palm oil in the industrial market. With the continuous development of oil palm plantations so that the provision of seeds should be considered because the success of planting in the field and the production of production is highly dependent on the quality of the seeds of oil palm plants used. Efforts that can be done to accelerate the growth of seeds Main Nursery is to provide NPK fertilizer and growth regulatory substances (ZPT) Hantu that can help the absorption of nutrients and accelerate the growth of vegetative plants. The aim of this research is to get the interaction of ZPT Hantu concentration and NPK fertilizer dosage which give the best influence to the growth of oil palm seed (Elaeis guineensis Jacq) in Main-nursery. The experiment was conducted experimentally with factorial Randomized Design (RAL), consisting of 2 factors ie H factor is ZPT Hantu and N factor is NPK fertilizer (16:16:16) which each consist of 3 levels. Thus obtained 9 treatment combinations with 3 replications. The observed data were analyzed by Duncan's multipoint test and Duncan's multiplexed test of 5%. Test of ZPT Hantu and NPK fertilizer significantly affect the growth of oil palm seedlings in Main Nursery that is on the parameters of seed height, stem diameter, leaf number and leaf area, whereas the combination of both only on bar diameter parameters that gives a real effect, with best treatment is combination giving ZPT Hantu 2 cc / l water and NPK 20 grams / plant.

Abstract

This research generally aims to analyze the behavior of food consumption source of carbohydrate, specifically, this study aims to analyze the dominant factor and analyze the response of food consumption expenditure dominant source of carbohydrate for factors that influence it. To answer this research purpose built models Almost Ideal Demand System (AIDS) were analyzed by methods Seemingly Unreleated Regression (SUR).Food commodities sources of carbohydrates are included in the model to include five commodities (commodity groups), include: rice, yam, noodles, cassava and potatoes. The results showed that the higher the income level, the proportion of food expenditure of commodities as rice, yam, noodles, cassava, and potatoes tend to increase. Meanwhile, the higher the mother's education the more domestic rice consumption, while consumption of yam noodles, cassava and potatoes tend to decline. The analysis showed that the price elasticity of its own for the entire commodity observed negative sign except cassava and yams and potatoes only the value of elasticity is greater than one. This indicates that the commodity consumption expenditures yams and potatoes are responsive to changes in its price. Similarly, the cross-price elasticities show the value of elasticity (in absolute value) with cassava yams and potatoes is greater than one, means commodity consumption expenditures yams are responsive to changes in prices of other commodities. Meanwhile, the income elasticity shows two commodities that have an income elasticity greater than one, which is the income elasticity for commodities noodles, and cassava. From these findings it can be stated that the policies related to revenue-raising efforts should be made to boost household consumption, especially consumption of palm oil farmers noodles and cassava, while the price control policy needs to be done to increase the consumption of yams.
