Abstract

The main principle in today's mathematics learning was to improve and prepare learning activities that gave benefit to students who aim to move from teaching mathematics to learning mathematics and the solution was translate again as a real-world problem solution. This study aims to generate learning path that used mathematical modeling so that it can help students understand the material sequence. The research method used design research. Hypotetical Learning Trajectory in design research played an important role as design and research instrument. HLT was designed in the initial design phase and tested in grade IX students (ie, 6 students on pilot experiment and 35 students in teaching experiment) SMA Negeri 4 Pagaralam. In retrosvectife analysis, actual learning during teaching experiments compared with HLT has been designed to show that with the context of the model of business development and using mathematical modeling can help students in understanding the learning sequence.

Abstract

The moment of inertia of a reverse gas can be calculated by physically analyzing the parts of the return gas. The back casing consists of a cut ball and a small tube. The back of the head is a ball (sphere) which has a radius R while the handle forms a finger that has fingers. The moment of inertia back gasing is the sum of the moment of truncated inertia and the moment of inertia of the tube with the rotating axis at the center of the mass in the back gas. Backfill is an example of a rigid body system that has a holonomic style, which can move in translation and rotation.

Abstract

This paper aims to explore and describe the representation made by students of mathematics education in solving algebraic problems based on various spatial abilities. Two students from each of the high, moderate, and low spatial abilities were chosen to be the subject of the study. Data was obtained through in-depth interviews and written answers in answering algebraic problems. The credibility of the data was obtained through continuous observation and source triangulation. The data obtained were analyzed using a flow chart consisting of three activities that occurred simultaneously, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The analysis showed that the internal representation of subjects with various spatial abilities differed in understanding the problem and making a solution plan, both questions investigation and finding. The external representation of subjects with various spatial abilities is the same in understanding the problem of inquiry. As for the problem of finding high and low spatial-capable subjects presenting the same external representation. There are similarities in external representations for solving investigation questions between high and low spatial abilities, and between moderate and low spatial abilities for finding problems.

Abstract

Background and aims: Stroke is a disease of acute focal and global functional brain disorder due to blood flow occlusion to the brain. Disorder of blood brain barrier may trigger leukocyte infiltration and release of proinflammatory cytokines following an acute ischaemic stroke. CT-scan is the gold standard for diagnosing stroke which is not available yet in remote areas in Indonesia. This research aims to indentify the diagnostic value of neutrophil and lymphocyte ratio in order to determine stroke type (hemorrhagic and non hemmorrhagic). Method: this diagnostic test research was conducted in the inpatients ward of Neurology Departement of Dr Mohammad Hoesin Hospital in Palembang from August 2017 to November 2017. The number of samples in this research that meet the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria were 228 samples. The frequency and distribution of the data are explained through tables and figures and the cut point of N/L ratio are analyzed by ROC curve and the sensitivity and specificity value is obtained based on the N/L cut point. Analysis of the data was conductedusing SPSS22.0version. Results: This research shows that there is no difference on the age range, sex, and onset of the disease in patients with stroke hemorrhagic and non hemorrhagic (p>0.05). Based on ROC analysis, cut point of N/L ratio is 3.14 with AUC value 0.764 (0.701-0,826). Based on the cutting point value to determine classification of hemorrhagic and non hemorrhagic stroke, the sensitvity value is 72.99%, specificity 75.82%, positive predictive value (PPV) 82%, and negativepredictivevalue(NPV)65.1%. Conclusion: Ratio of N/L with cut point value 3.414 has sensitivity 72.99% and specificity 75.82%
