Abstract

This study aims to examine the improvement of Mathematical Problem Solving (KPMM) of students through Probing Prompting learning technique. Probing Prompting technique is learning by way of presenting a series of questions that are guided and explored so that there is a process of thinking that links the previous knowledge and experience with new knowledge to be learned. Questions raised on the students encourage students to think more rationally about the knowledge gained previously. In the face-to-face study dikuliah Differential Equation, assisted blended learning is by using the internet online. This study used quasi-experimental method with the control group design of pretest and non-equivalent postes. The subject of this research is a mathematics student at PGRI University of Palembang. namely experimental class that get learning Probing prompting assisted blended learning (PPPBBL) and control class that get conventional learning (PK). Based on the result of the test analysis, the difference of the average increase of KPMM of the students who get the learning PPPBBL and the students who get conventional learning, get the value of the table of the increase of KPMM students who get learning Prompting blended learning promotion (PPPBBL) better than students who get conventional learning

Abstract

This paper is to provide an explanation and a description about the diaspora of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II and his descendants (Zuriat) descendants and his followers in Maluku islands. This study is limited to three regions; Ternate Island, Bacan Island, and Ambon City. The main problem in this research is what lies behind the occurrence of diaspora from zuriates of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II and his followers, and their roles in these three locations. Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II (SMB II) was one of the greatest and the most prominent Sultan in Palembang Sultanate. In addition, he was also respected because he dared to oppose foreign parties, especially Dutch and British who were eager to seizing Palembang's natural wealth which known had dominated the trade of tin and pepper as the result it led to several wars with the Sultanate. This battle was won by Dutch, which resulted in capturing and exiling of the Sultan and his followers to Batavia (1821) and Ternate in 1822. It was the beginning of the exile of Palembangnese into Maluku Islands. The second exile took place in 1825, after the resistance led by Sultan Ahmad Najamuddin Prabu Anom, the son of Sultan Ahmad Najamuddin II. Fifty years later, the exile occurred again in the descendants of SMB II, and other Sultanate families. This second exile spread out to several points. It was the beginning of diaspora of Palembangnese zuriat began almost everywhere in Maluku Islands. It can be said that the concentration of the Palembangnese is more common in the three places mentioned above. They made relation, and created new cultural patterns. In addition, some of them are also considered important because they become ellites. It becomes the most interesting point to be discussed through a historical perspective, by prioritizing historical methodology and oral traditions that will become references as well as being the main source in this paper.

Abstract

This literature study aims to analyze the learning of mathematics to build the character of students in elementary school. Mathematical learning has a close relationship with everyday life. Thus mathematics will relate to the character of students such as honesty, social care and discipline. The concept of honesty in mathematics learning is depicted in social arithmetic material that introduces about profits, and losses. The character of discipline in mathematics can be interpreted in material such as debit. Attempts to build student character in learning are also the responsibility of the teacher. Thus prospective teachers must have superior competence in order to build the character of students through learning mathematics. Positive characters built through the learning of mathematics since the elementary school, is expected to be a habituation to students as a provision for life.
