Abstract

The readiness was meant by physics and psychologist conditions to achieve the planning. In establishing Early Childhood Education, the important components were facilities and infrastructure. Good institution had good function of the facilities and infrastructure. It supported the teaching and learning process. The purposes of the study were to describe the readiness of playgroup establishment by looking at the availability of facilities and infrastructure and to describe the facilities and infrastructure management of playgroup Aisyiyah, Kabupaten Kudus.The study used qualitative method. The research took place in playgroup Aisyiyah V Papringan, playgroup Aisyiyah Terpadu Birrul Walidain and playgroup Aisyiyah Payaman. The research informants were the head master, teacher, and Aisyiyah committee. The data collecting was gathered by using interview, observation, field note, and documentation. The data analysis used data collection, data reduction, data display and data verifying. The validity was measured by using triangulation.The result showed that the first facility of the availability in playgroup establishment was the learning equipment. Infrastructure had not built yet, it could be a loan, lodging, and using other party building. The planning was done periodically. The availability was fulfilled by purchasing, loan, rental, granting, recycling, self-production, and recondition. The registration was written once in a month. The storage was in the storeroom, cupboard, and locker. In addition, it was treated periodically. The utilizing paid attention to the efficiency and effectiveness principles. The discontinuance of the institution was done by selling disposal of the facilities and infrastructure used.Hence, it could be concluded that the readiness of playgroup from the facilities and infrastructure sides were based on the learning equipments. The availability of the infrastructure was not built. The facilities and infrastructure management were through planning, provisioning, regulating, using, and erasing. For the institution, it would be good to pay attention the facilities and infrastructure elements when they would establish a playgroup.

Abstract

Fine motor skills of children has an important relation  in their daily life, such as writing, shaping, grasping spoon, tying shoes, and buttoning clothes. Those skills will be perfect if there was a stimulation. The stimulation can be given by providing some learning method such as blocks constructive games. By providing a game as a learning method, it can make the children happy. The objective of this research was to find out whether there was an effect of constructive game in developing children motoric skills of ages 4-5 years. This research used experiment method of Pre-experimental and One Group pretest and posttest design. Research subject were children of 4-5 years, group A in TK Pembina ABA 54 Semarang. Purposive sampling was used to take the sample. Paired Sample t-Test was used to analyze the data. Posttest result of experiment group showed higher score than pretest. The measurement of paired sample t-Test aimed the t -42.003 with the sig (2-tailed) <0,05. The research aimed 100% as an amount of the effect by using constructive blocks game to improve children fine motor skill. There were a significant difference between the fine motor skill after and before conducting the constructive blocks game.

Abstract

Parental awareness about the importance of education from an early age is increasing. As time, a parent is required to be a parent today should have a specific strategy for the future of their children. This is evidenced by the amount of attention given to the selection of childrens education. In terms of selecting parent education see specific criteria. This research uses descriptive qualitative research method. The informant sources of primary data in this study are: Chief TK Kemala Bhayangkari 85 Kebumen and parents, Head of IT Ulil Albab Kebumen kindergarten and kindergarten students parents as well as State Trustees and Parents. The collection of data through interviews, questionnaires, observation and documentation. Data analysis included, data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results of this study indicate that the motivation of parents in choosing ECD at three institutions, appeared with the reasons vary, in kindergarten Kemala Bhayangkari motivation of parents come together with an awareness of the importance of early childhood education, school quality was good, school fees affordable, location close to home and easy access, as well as young police uniform as a special attraction. TK IT Ulil Albab, parental motivation occurs because the predicate and school achievement, faith-based education, childs comfort, service provided by the agency to the child and the parents in the form of commucation intertwined easy and open. Motivation parents choose TK Negeri Pembina State is the predicate, the location is in the city center, the resulting output as well as extracurricular drumband. And a unique and characteristic as an attraction to the public. TK Kemala Bhayangkari 85 with little police uniforms and marching band activities, TK IT Ulil Albab with the peculiarities of his religious training and TK Negeri Pembina Kebumen with domestic status and output. Which indirectly may attract the attention of parents and children, so that in the end they decided to choose the institution.

Abstract

Confidence is one of important thing that should be developed from the early years. Having a confidence, encourages us to deal with a risk in the future. The important key about having a confidence in an early years is because the children will be able to finish their task according to development phase, having such a courage to take a risk and get their achievement, trusted by people, growing up in the middle of experienced life, and the most important is, the children will be healthy and become independent.  To develop children’s confidence, singing method by theme based movement can be used. The themes used to apply this method are children themselves, animal and plants.  The method used in this research was Pre Experimental with One Group Pretest-Posttest. The populations of this research were all of the kindergarten students in Ngaliyan and the sample were 30 students of RA Islamic Tunas Bangsa 4. Purposive sampling was used to take the data sample. There were two variables in this study, X was a singing method with theme based movement and Y was children’s confidence. The result of the study showed that the measurement of Paired t-test, between pretest and posttest from the experimental group was tvalue = -12,636 with sig value (2-tailed)< 0,05. Therefore, from hypothesis test we could accept H0 and refused Ha. Before conducting the treatment the mean of pretest score was 7,53 and after the treatment, the posttest score was 12,17. From the result of the mean of posttest improvement; 4,64, and it can be said that the children’s confidence was developed. The conclusion of this study was children’s confidence at RA Islamic Tunas Bangsa 4 Ngaliyan can be developed by this method.

Abstract

The study was based on the variety of final project title which had been arranged by the students of the Early Childhood Education (PG PAUD) in State University of Semarang (UNNES). It caused the confusion of the students which would make a final project. The purposes of the study were (1) To know about the preference of choosing topic for arranging final project by the students of PG PAUD UNNES Year Academic 2010-2015, (2) To know the factors which raised the preference of choosing topic for arranging final project by the students of PG PAUD UNNES Year Academic 2010-2015, (3) To know what topic had not been chosen by the students of PG PAUD UNNES for arranging final project Year Academic 2010-2015.The study used descriptive method which utilized quantitative approach. The data collecting was gathered by using interview and documentation. It took PG PAUD UNNES as the research location. The informant was consisted of one Head of the Program and three supervisors of the final project. The data analysis used analysis descriptive statistics, crosstab, and Chi Square analysis by using SPSS version 19. The result gathered from 240 final projects of PG PAUD UNNES Year Academic 2010-2015 showed that: 50 topics were about the Early Childhood growth and development; 32 topics were about educator and the educational staff; and 158 topics were about learning process of Early Childhood. (1) The students chose the topics about the learning process of Early Childhood, (2) The preferences background were because the students looked only the previous final projects and lacked of reading habit, (3) The material or subject of final project topic rarely chose was believed as the uninterested topic and difficult references.It needed sustainable experiments for five years in order to avoid the surge of the preferences in choosing topic. The surge could bring out the saturated variables in Early Childhood experiments.

Abstract

A disaster is an event that can happen anywhere, anytime and overwrite anyone. For it is necessary preparation for the community in the area of disaster-prone to know what things to do in facing disaster. This study aims to measure the level of disaster preparedness in children through disaster response training in drama centers TKIT Baitussalam 2 Cangkringan Sleman. Through disaster response training, it can be known whether or not there is a difference in the level of preparedness of children.The method used in this study is experimental. Research using one group pretest posstest design that experiments conducted in a single group without a comparison group. The research instrument with preparedness parameter is using Guttman scale with a straight answer "Yes" and "No".The population in this study are all children in TKIT Baitussalam 2 Cangkringan totaling 138. The sample in this research is class of B2 which amounted to 28. The sampling techniques used in this research is Purporsive sampling. Data analysis techniques used in this research is descriptive analysis, normality test and inferensial test with Paired Sample t-Test.Test the hypothesis States that Ha is received and Ho is rejected. The calculation results of Paired t-test between pretest and posttest experimental groups with a value of thitung =-41,086 and the sig (2-tailed) < 0.05. The average rating on stage initially 9.04 pretest became 24.86 posttest, so there is a significant difference between the preparedness of children before and after disaster response training.

Abstract

Visual-spatial intelligence is the ability to understand picture and shape including the ability to interpret the invisible space dimension. Visual-spatial intelligence have the characteristics they are the sensitivity toward line, color, shape, space, balance, the ability of imagine, interpreting the idea visually and spatially, so it is rests on the sharpness of seeing and the accuracy of observing. Optimized of visual-spatial intelligence in children at the early childhood development can be done through building games by using beam as the media which have been available in the center of beams. The existence of building play is the media to practice the ability that is needed by the children and also to stimulate the ability of children to create the thoughts, ideas, and concepts. The objective of this study is to know the increase in visual-spatial intelligence which is reached by the children at the age 5-6 years old through the activity playing of building in the center of beams. Experimental research is used in this quantitative research with the design One Group Pretest-Posttest. The populations of this study are all of the students of Mutiara Insan Kindergarten, Sukoharjo Regency with the sample of 30 students consisting of children at the age of 5-6 years old (grade B kindergarten). The sampling technique used was Purposive sampling. Whereas data collection methods of this study using children visual-spatial intelligence scale which have been tested both the validity and the reliability for about 0,901. The data distribution obtained indicates normal data and homogenous. The statistical analysis method with Paired Sample t-Test technique is the result of pretest and posttest. The result obtained tcalculate = -102,524 with sig = 0.000, so that the average score pretest and posttest of the children visual-spatial abilities at the age of 5-6 years old experience significant improvement after conducted optimization of beam as a media for application the building games in the center of the beam.

Abstract

In globalization era the entertainment industry for family is growing up as fast as the changing of urban people life style. Playing is one of children needs that must be fullfilled to complete their growing mass. Shopping center which equipped with children playground is an alternative facility to serve entertainment and recreation that needed by people. The safety standard and education value on playground in shopping center must be noticed. Purpose of this study is know the safety standard and education value on “Wonderland Adventure” playground in ADA Swalayan shopping center in Siliwangi Semarang. This study uses qualitative research with descriptive study. Subject of this study is supervisor as main informant, leader as supporting informant, and visitor as triangulation informant. Method and technique of data collection of this study are interview, observation, and document analysis. Data analysis of this study is Interactive Miles & Huberman data analysis. Based on result of this study can be concluded if the safety standard on “Wonderland Adventure” playground in ADA Swalayan Siliwangi Semarang shopping center is good enough. The administrator always checks the games routinely, at morning, noon, and afternoon. The administrator also pours antiseptic solution when cleaning playground so that always kept its clean. Whereas for education value on “Wonderland Adventure” playground must be increased. That is according to the types of games available which aimed to develop childrens’ crude motoric capability, and for games which develops cognitive capability and accuracy are not available yet.

Abstract

Management curriculum is one of the primary management substances at school. Basic princeples of curriculum management is tryingto let the learning process can be run well. Talents kindergarten is inclusion in Semarang who receive learners with the various needs of children without distinction, either normal or children in need special.  Formulation of the problem in the writing of this is how the planning, implementation, and evalution of the curriculum in the  kindergarten school of Semarang Talents as inclusion. This type of research is qualitative research in methods of case studies. Data collextion method using observation, interview, and documentation. The data obtained are examined the validity of the data with the triangulation of sources and triangulation methods. Data were analyzed with the interactive model of data analysis, techniques Miles and Huberman. Based on data analysis, planning curriculum in kindergarten Talents Semarang arranged through work meetings between the principal and the teacher to design a learning device refers to the 2013 curriculum, early childhood education program that includes annual, semester, weekly, and daily. For children in need of special school still in the drafting stage of Talents as the school inclusion is basiclly almost the same with other conventional school. The curriculum used in reference to 2013 curriculum, early childhood education. The implementation of the curriculum through the learning process includes the structuring materials and tool main, welcoming the presence of children, play facilities, the line enters the classroom, morning devotion, transition, opening activities, the core activity of playing on central, eat together portlnd, closing activities, and the evaluation activities on that day. Curriculum evaluation activitites carried out regularly once a week by teachers and principals on Friday, while reports of child development reported to parents each semester through report cards.

Abstract

The provision of environmental education can be provided in accordance with the competencies in the 2013 curriculum of core competencies number 3 and 4 which can not be separated from each other as they are interconnected, containing knowledge and skills that can provide environmental education. Children have the skills and knowledge in the form of skills in solving  problems, especially problems in the environment. This research uses qualitative method with descriptive research type in early childhood of Taman Belia Candi Semarang. Data collection in this study includes observation, interview and documentation. Interview with headmaster, head of curriculum, all central teachers and students from kindergarten class A student of Taman Belia Candi Semarang City. Environmental Education. Provision of environmental education in early childhood of Taman Belia Candi is given indirectly and activities. There are several factors that support and hinder the provision of environmental education. Supporting factors are; Improved curriculum, clean and healthy living habits, provision of hygiene aids, good communication with parents, and out-of-school visits for strengthening knowledge. Inhibiting factors include; Changing child responsiveness and lack of teacher and parent collaboration to develop the curriculum.
