This journal is published every March and October by Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang, Universitas Negeri Semarang, Indonesia, and accredited by the Indonesian Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (RistekDikti) of the Republic of Indonesia in SINTA (Achieving Sinta 4) since November 11, 2019. The recognition was published in Director Decree (SK No. 30/E/KPT/2019), effective until 2023.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Japanese language extracurricular on study result of the students of SMA N 1 Ambarawa, and to find out the factors that influenced Japanese extracurricular activities at SMA N 1 Ambarawa.This quantitative descriptive method has a population and samples in this research are students of class X MIPA 4, X MIPA 6, X SOS 3, and X Language who have the results of learning Japanese and participating in Japanese extracurricular activities. The method of data collection is carried out observation sample and documented the activities. The data obtained is calculated using SPSS and produces a value of 0.483, and with N = 53 and a significance level of 5% is 0.266 (0.483 2 0.266). From the results of data processing, there was a contribution of 23.3%, which means that Japanese language extracurricular activities affect the Japanese study result of SMA N 1 Ambarawa students by 23.3%. The biggest factor affecting Japanese extracurricular activities is the student psychological factors in order to add more information about Japanese Leanguage and Culture (97.2%).

Abstract

Dokkai or reading understanding in Japanese is one of the lessons that combines several skills such as kanji, sentence pattern, translation, and culture. From all those several skills dokkai is a lesson that need accuracy. The obstacles in learning dokkai as the error understanding and error translation is a problem that must be overcome. This research is using the method of SQ3R, that are survey, question, read, recite, and review. These stages can describes reading or discourse into several part that can be easily understood. This research is the action research that using two cycle, each cycle consists of 2 meetings. The object of the research is the students of the 7thsemester that took Jyoukyuu Dokkai as the lesson. The result of the research from the action that using this method is the skills of the students in understanding discourse become increase, finish is study and the activities become better than before. The student has the new method in understanding new reading and discourse.

Abstract

There are many problems in translation. This study aims to find out what are the difficulties and factors that cause difficulties experienced by alumni of Japanese Language Education program UNNES from the class of 2005 to 2014 who have professions as translators, both interpreters and translators. The data collection method used in this study is the questionnaire method. The questionnaire used was in the form of a closed questionnaire and 1 item was an open questionnaire. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that most alumni have difficulties when translating. The difficulties that most translators experience are knowledge in specific fields, types of texts, methods and techniques of translation, understanding inter-paragraph relationships and mastery of vocabulary. Then, the causal factors such as lack of motivation, confidence, provision of knowledge about translation, finding out your own theory without knowing its validity, lack of interaction with native speakers, and lack of language skills.

Abstract

This study aims is to: (1) Determine LPK Matsushita Gobel Foundation Jakarta participants ability to speak Japanese before using interview method. (2) Determine Pakuan University participant’s ability to speak in Japanese before using interview method. (3) Knowing the differences of LPK Matsushita Gobel Foundation Jakarta participant’s ability to speak Japanese before and after using the interview method. (4) Determine whether the method can improve the LPK Matsushita Gobel Foundation Jakarta participant’s ability to speak Japanese or not. (5) Gain feedback from LPK Matsushita Gobel Foundation Jakarta participants towards this method. This research is a class action, using a quasi-experiment which focuses on one sample class. The research instrument consists pretest and post-test, questionnaires, and interviews. The result of those interviews are reported in front of the class into a series of stories. By this method of interview, not only the participants are able to have conversations with many people, but the participants were able to reiterated the interview results to the class and done in a way such as giving a speech.

Abstract

Penguasaan huruf kanji mempengaruhi berbagai keterampilan berbahasa Jepang khususnya menulis dan membaca, namun dalam pembelajarannya banyak pemelajar yang masih kesulitan dalam menguasai kanji. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut maka diperlukan sebuah model pembelajaran yang bisa memudahkan proses mengingat baik dalam cara baca dan juga cara tulis kanji. Salah satunya adalah dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT (Team Games Tournament) sebagai bentuk latihan (drill) agar pembelajaran kanji lebih menarik. Tujuan utama pada penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adakah perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap hasil pembelajaran chuujokyuu kanji pemelajar kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Metode penelitian yang dipakai adalah metode kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian eksperimen murni. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar pemelajar untuk posttest kelas eksperimen dan posttest kelas kontrol. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT (Teams Games Tournaments) terbukti efektif dengan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara rata-rata hasil belajar pemelajar antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ekspresi dan reaksi bayi melalui buku cerita bergambar. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah buku cerita bergambar dalam bahasa Jepang sebanyak 3 jilid. Sedangkan untuk objek penelitiannya sendiri adalah bayi usia 8 bulan, dengan memperhatikan ekspresi dan reaksinya. Metode penelitan yang digunakan dengan cara menceritakan (memperdengarkan) 3 buku tersebut sambil mengamati reaksi objek. Lalu, hasil yang didapatkan adalah, dari ketiga buku tersebut masing-masing terdapat ekspresi dan reaksi yang berbeda. Lalu yang paling menarik perhatian objek adalah pada kata “yoisho-yoisho” , “musha-musha”, dan suara binatang seperti “hoo..”.

Abstract

Novel ini merupakan karya lama, yang diterbitkan pertama kali pada tahun 1911, dengan judul aslinya adalah “Gan”. Pengarang Mori Ogai (1862 – 1922) adalah salah seorang sastrawan terkemuka pada Era Meiji, yang sering disejajarkan dengan Natsume Soseki, pengarang “Wagahai wa Neko dearu”, “Botchan”, dan lain-lain. Baik Ogai maupun Soseki adalah tokoh yang sangat besar dalam dunia sastra Jepang klasik modern, karya-karya mereka masih menarik perhatian banyak pembaca sampai hari ini. Gan” (Angsa Liar) adalah novel serial yang dimuat di majalah sastra “Subaru” dari tahun 1911 – 1913. Narator cerita ini adalah seorang mahasiswa kedokteran di Universitas Kedokteran. Ia menceritakan tentang teman kosnya yang bernama Okada, mahasiswa kedokteran yang rupawan dan berperilaku baik, dan seorang wanita muda yang cantik, namanya Otama alias “perempuan di Tanjakan Muenzaka”. Okada suka jalan-jalan di sekitar kosnya dan hampir setiap hari berjalan melalui Tanjakan Musenzaka. Di situlah Okada bertemu dengan Otama dan terpesona pada kecantikannya. Okada belum tahu siapa wanita itu, namun ternyata Otama adalah gundik dari seorang rentenir yang kaya raya. Otama menjadi gundik demi menyelamatkan ayahnya yang sudah tua dari kemiskinan. Selama hidup sebagai gundik, Otama yang semula bersifat lugu dan penurut mulai terbuka matanya dan menyadari pentingnya mengukuhkan jati dirinya sebagai seorang perempuan. Dan Otama pun mulai tertarik pada Okada yang sering melewati depan jendelanya…

Abstract

The short story "Inu to Hito to Hana" by Ogawa Mimei is a simple story that is full of elements of ethics and aesthetics. The purpose of this study is to describe the aesthetic aspects of the short story "Inu to Hito to Hana". The method used is literature study using an aesthetic identity approach. The results of this study can be seen from aesthetic aspects, namely 1) language style, 2) symbols, 3) imagination process, and 4) philosophical values. Abstract

Abstrak ___________________________________________________________________ Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi pembelajar terhadap Media Kamus Tematik Bahasa Jepang Berbasis Web. Penelitian ini didasari penelitian pendahuluan yang dilakukan dengan angket dan wawancara ke 38 responden mahasiswa pendidikan bahasa Jepang Unnes dan observasi kepada siswa SMA PGRI 1 Kendal, penulis menemukan fakta dijumpai pembelajar yang kesulitan dalam mengingat dan memahami kosakta bahasa Jepang oleh karena itu diperlukan media penunjang kosakata yang mempermudah pembelajar belajar kosakata bahasa Jepang, Salah satu media yang dapat menjadi pilihan adalah Kamus Tematik Bahasa Jepang Berbasis Web. Pengambilan data dalam persepsi oleh 21 pengguna menggunakan non tes berupa angket semi terbuka kepada responden pembelajar bahasa Jepang Umum. Media prototipe Kamus tematik berbasis web menghasilkan web dengan 5 tema pembelajaran kosakata dasar, yang dilengkapi dengan kosakata bahasa Jepang, dan terjemahan bahasa Indonesia. Hasil analisis persepsi melalui 12 pertanyaan yang diberikan ke pembelajar diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 81,65% pembelajar beranggapan media baik untuk digunakan untuk belajar kosakata bahasa Jepang dasar. Abstract ___________________________________________________________________ This study is to determine learners' perceptions of Web-Based Japanese Thematic Dictionary Media. This research is based on preliminary research conducted by questionnaire and interview to 38 respondents of Japanese students of Unnes education and observation of high school students of PGRI 1 Kendal, the writer found facts that were found by students who had difficulty in remembering and understanding Japanese language vocabulary and therefore needed supporting vocabulary media make it easier for learners to learn Japanese vocabulary, One of the media that can be selected is Web-Based Japanese Thematic Dictionary. Retrieval of data in perception by 21 users using a non-test in the form of a semi-open questionnaire to respondents learning Japanese General. Prototype media Web-based thematic dictionaries produce a web with 5 basic vocabulary learning themes, which are complemented by Japanese vocabulary, and Indonesian translations. The results of the analysis of perception through 12 questions given to learners obtained an average of 81.65% of learners think the media is good for use for learning basic Japanese vocabulary.
