Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian diskriptif kualitatif untuk mengetahui perilaku aisatsu yang dilakukan mahasiswa Jepang serta variasi yang digunakan oleh mahasiswa Jepang saat melekukan aisatsu. Objek dari penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa dari beberapa wilayah di Jepang yang mengikuti program koryukai yang diselenggarakan oleh The Japan Foundation di Osaka. Pengambilan data penelitian dilakukan dengan metode wawancara, untuk mendapatkan gambaran perilaku aisatsu di kalangan mahasiswa Jepang. Hasil wawancara dianalisis guna mendapatkan gambaran perilaku aisatsu di kalangan mahasiswa Jepang. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa aisatsu dilakukan oleh mahasiswa Jepang terhadap orang yang mereka temui seperti teman, dosen, keluarga dosen, rekan kerja, bahkan terhadap orang yang tidak mereka kenal. Ragam aisatsu yang mereka lakukan terdiri dari: aisatsu yang menunjukkan waktu, aisasu sebagai ucapan terimakasih, aisatsu sebagai wujud permintaan maaf, aisatsu saat berkenalan, aisatsu setelah melakukan pekerjaan sulit, aisatsu untuk pelanggan, salam saat berangkat atau mengantarkan seseorang pergi, aisatsu saat bertemu kembali, salam saat meminta waktu kepada seseorang, dan salam kepada seseorang yang sedang berbahagia. Dalam melakukan tindakan aisatsu, mahasiswa menggunakan variasi aisatsu yaitu terdiri dari, 1) kata-kata(言葉), 2) kata-kata+ ojigi(言葉 + お辞儀), 3) ojigi(お辞儀), 4) berjabat tangan(握手), 5) Berpelukan(ハグ(抱く)), 6)gesture+ kata-kata ( ジェスチャー + 言葉), 7) gesture(ジェスチャー), 8) kontak mata(アイコンタックス), 9) ojigi+kata-kata(お辞儀 + 言葉).

Abstract

Abstrak___________________________________________________________________Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif, yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi kemampuan menulis siswa MAN 1 Magelang dalam penerapan pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah 27 siswa kelas XI bahasa MAN 1 Magelang yang mendaptkan mata pelajaran Bahasa Jepang. Dalam penelitian ini berfokus pada faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi kemampuan menulis siswa. Penulis menggunakan angket tertutup untuk mengetahui faktor apasaja yang mempengaruhi kemampuan siswa. Angket terdiri dari 10 butir soal, yang mencakup faktor internal dan faktor eksternal yang dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan siswa. Selain itu penulis juga melakukan wawancara dengan guru pengampu untuk mengkonfirmasi jawaban angket siswa. Faktor internal adalah faktor yang terjadi karena dari dalam diri siswa itu sendiri, sedangkan faktor eksternal adalah faktor dari luar siswa. Kemudian penulis menghitung hasil angket tersebut untuk mencari tingkatan skala persentase jawaban dan ditampilkan dalam tabel persentase. Beserta hasil wawancara dengan guru pengampu.

Abstract

This study aims to described the symbolic violence done by Otani and its mechanism on Dazai Osamu’s short story, Viyon No Tsuma. Close reading and note taking method was conducted to collect the data. Collected data such as form of words, sentences, sentence fragments, paragraph, and paragraph fragments, were grouped in a table form and analyzed using analytic descriptive method. Data analysis results showed that (1) Otani’s habits are calm, even when he was drunk, and dress neatly. However, by the time flies, Otani changes to be rude and irresponsible man; (2) the fields existed in the short story are economic field and social field; (3) the highest capital is owned by Otani, it is a symbolic capital in the form of the nobility of Otani’s family; (4) All of symbolic violences are done by mechanism of eufemisation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the understanding of Japanese language students about the ‘uchi-soto’ concept which is the standard for Japanese people when using the ‘yari-morai’ expression. This also relates to the process of translating speeches containing the verb ‘yari-morai’. Data sources are Japanese manga (Japanese) and a questionnaire that lists structured questions. The method used in data collection is the listening method with tapping technique as the basic technique and the listening-free-engaged-conversation technique as an advanced technique. Whereas in the analysis using contextual and descriptive methods, the sentence is analyzed by explaining the context, the concept of ‘uchi-soto’ in relation to the use of ‘yari-morai’ auxiliary verbs, assessing the results of the translation and relating it to the concept of ‘uchi-soto’ in the linguistic realm. The results of this study indicate 1) in the yaru and ageru verbs, it was found that the respondents' understanding of the uchi-soto concept was the same lack. 2) on the morau verb, the authors found that respondents were able to determine the uchi-soto relationship and 3) in the kureru verb, some respondents can distinguish and determine the uchi-soto relationship well, however, when the kureru verb becomes kudasaru, even though the respondent can still recognize the uchi-soto relationship, some 100% of the translating results of the respondent are incorrect. So, from the students' understanding of the concept of uchi-soto which is associated with the results of translation it is known that it does not significantly correlate with student competence in translating utterances that contain yari-morai verbs and vice versa. Although some respondents answered correctly the uchi-soto relationship of the speakers involved in a conversation, it was not in accordance with the translation that resulted from both accuracy and acceptance. On the other hand, although the respondent is able to translate the fragments from the utterances, it is not able to determine the right relationship between speakers with other parties in the given conversation situation. Abstract

As a Japanese language learner requires mastering the language of respect (keigo) which is not only from learning in the classroom but can through television dramas containing respectful language to be used as learning models can be used by Japanese language learners. One of them is in the drama titled "Kounodori Season 1". This study aims to describe the type of keigo and the situation of using keigo in the autumn drama "Kounodori Season 1". The research approach uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The research technique used was the note and note technique. The results of this study are the use of keigo in the drama Kounodori Season 1 classified based on three types of keigo namely sonkeigo type, kenjougo type and teineigo type, found 45 data with 19 sonkeigo data types, kenjougo 6 data type and 20 teineigo data types. From these data it is known that the use of keigo in the drama Kounodori Season 1 that is often used is the type of teineigo keigo by taking into account several aspects such as intimacy, age, and status.

Abstract

Vocabulary mastery is one of the most important in learning Japanese. Lack of mastery of vocabulary will make students look less active when teaching and learning activities take place. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the crossword puzzle in increasing the mastery of Japanese vocabulary. This research is an experimental study with a Posstest-Only Control Group Design model. The data generated in this study are quantitative data obtained form the results of the post test in class A as an experimental class and class B as a control class. The results of data analysis showed that the level of mastery of vocabulary in the experimental class using crossword puzzles, was higher than the control class using conventional media in the form of lecture activities using textbooks. In addition, The atmosphere of the learning by using crossword media is more interesting and fun. This is confirmed by the average results of the vocabulary test scores in the experimental class at 85.87, while in the control class at 74.8.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan mengenai kategori fungsi kalimat interogatif dan merumuskan bentuk kalimat interogatif dalam bahasa Jepang menggunakan teori X-Bar. Dalam penelitian artikel ini, penulis menggunakan metode kepustakaan. Lalu, data dianalisis dengan metode agih dan hasil disajikan menggunakan pemahaman formal dan informal. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kategori fungsional kalimat interogatif dalam bahasa Jepang meliputi komplemen dan pemerlengkap. Fungsi kalimat interogatif sebagai pemerlengkap ditempati oleh kalimat interogatif ya-tidak dan kalimat interogatif dengan kata tanya, sedangkan kalimat interogatif yang berfungsi sebagai komplemen ditempati oleh kalimat interogatif gaung sehingga dapat dilihat sebagai berikut : KT → [Pm] + Spes + I + Komp + [Pm + Spes + I + Komp]. Kata Kunci : kalimat interogatif, struktur, kategori fungsional Abstract This research are describing about functional category of question and formulated question structure norm in Japanese with X-Bar theory. For this research article, i used library research method. Then, data was analyse with agih method and the result served with formal and informal understanding. The result are showed which question functional category in Japanese question as complement and complementary. The function of question as complementary be occupied by yes-no question and wh question, then question function as complement contained in echo question type as followed : KT → [Pm] + Spes + I + Komp + [Pm + Spes + I + Komp]. Abstract

The application of JF Standard in learning Japanese especially in the Sakubun Shochukyu course is new and needs to be evaluated how the achievement of it’s learning targets. This study aims to find out how the semester 3 students' abilities are in writing. The research uses a quantitative approach and the research data are discussed with descriptive techniques. To assess the results of student essays used essay grading rubric based on JF Standard with 4 grading levels namely ganbare, mousukoshi, dekimashita, and subarashii for each item assessed. The results showed that in general, the students' writing ability was in the "dekimashita" or “very good” category with the note that there were still some errors in using grammar. Statistically, 1 student has a very high ability, 4 students have high ability, 18 students have the medium ability, and the remaining 8 are students who have low ability.

Abstract

Tulisan ini merupakan hasil penelitian mengenai budaya literasi di kalangan mahasiswa pembelajar Bahasa Jepang, Sekolah Vokasi, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui budaya literasi di kalangan mahasiswa Bahasa Jepang, Sekolah Vokasi UGM; (2) mengetahui motivasi dalam aktivitas literasi mahasiswa; dan (3) sebagai studi pendahuluan untuk penelitian selanjutnya, yang diharapkan juga bermanfaat dalam merancang metode pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan model belajar mahasiswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, (1) budaya literasi di kalangan mahasiswa Bahasa Jepang terwujud dalam kegiatan eksploratif seperti mencari informasi yang diminati dan dibutuhkan, serta mencatat informasi yang dianggap perlu. Akan tetapi, aktivitas literasi ini sebagian besar masih dimotivasi oleh ada tidaknya tugas kuliah, serta adanya suatu peristiwa atau fenomena yang sedang menjadi topik perbincangan (trending topic) (75%). Aktivitas literasi yang didasari factor kebutuhan masih tergolong rendah, yaitu sebanyak 12% dari keseluruhan mahasiswa responden; (2) mahasiswa yang mengakses informasi setiap hari juga masih tergolong rendah, yaitu sebanyak 22%; dan (3) media social menjadi media yang paling sering diakses dalam melakukan aktivitas literasi, yaitu sebanyak 52,5%, dan 47,5% sisanya mengakses informasi melalui situs berita online.

Abstract

Talkshow is one of the activities in the Kaiwa Enshuu course. In these activities, students are required to be able to express their opinions directly in accordance with a predetermined theme. Based on the results of the preliminary study, information was obtained that 34 of the 36 respondents were Japanese Language Education Study Program students in 2014 or 94.4% had difficulty expressing their opinions in talkshow activities. This study aims to determine the difficulties of students in expressing opinions talkshow activities, as well as the factors that cause difficulties and solutions to overcome difficulties. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The subjects of this study were the 2014 Japanese language study program students who had taken and followed the Kaiwa Enshuu course. Data collection with a semi-open questionnaire. The results of the questionnaire were analyzed using the percentage formula. The results showed that students had difficulty in choosing the right and varied vocabulary (71.25 %), compiling effective sentences that had been learned (71.25%). The difficulty factor is the shame factor for fear of making mistakes (70%). The solution to overcome the difficulties of lecturers motivates students to not be shy/reluctant to express their opinions so that students try to practice using Japanese both independently and in groups, besides motivating students to increase their confidence.
