Abstract

The ability to understand content and pedagogical knowledge are two non-negotiable things that must be mastered by teachers. In today's digital era, teachers are required to understand and be adaptive to the use of technology, so that knowledge of content, pedagogy, and technology becomes an important point of teacher knowledge today. This study purposes to analyze the ability of students' technology pedagogic content knowledge of prospective mathematics teachers by using qualitative descriptive methods. The research subjects are prospective students of mathematics teachers at universities in Bandung Indonesia who are researching the final project of scientific work in junior high school. The research instruments were questionnaires, observations and interview formats. The data analysis activity include: data collection, reduction, presentation and verification. The document analysis includes the learning process, lesson plans, implementation of learning, The use of information technology-based learning media, evaluation of learning, reflection of the learning process, results of questionnaires and interviews. The findings show that students’ ability to have knowledge of technology pedagogical content for prospective mathematics teachers is good category. Students are already skilled at deciphering big ideas. Prospective teachers have been able to develop learning implementation plans and carry out learning in accordance with the 2013 curriculum companion guidelines. Overall, understanding of the pedagogical content knowledge of teachers' technology needs to be improved when utilizing integrated and effective learning technology, so that teachers are more adaptive to the technology used appropriately and effectively wise.

Abstract

The learning strategy implemented in schools focuses on teacher centered learning caused the students' mathematical creative thinking skills are not optimally honed. Efforts to shift learning from teacher centered learning to student centered learning are the STEM approach aided google classroom so that students can develop mathematical creative thinking skills optimally. This study aims to determine the STEM approach aided google classroom to improve students' mathematical creative thinking skills in line and angle material. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The research was conducted in class VII A SMP Negeri 1 Pucakwangi consisted of 28 students. The research subjects were determined using purposive sampling technique. The data analysis techniques were written tests, questionnaires and interviews. The results showed that the approach of STEM aided google classroom is a learning strategy that is able to transform teacher-centered learning into student-centered learning. Students can follow the learning well, interactive so that it runs effectively. The STEM approach is able to improve students' mathematical creative thinking abilities optimally. Mathematical creative thinking able are grouped high, medium and low based on the process and written test scores. The pre-test result showed 1 student (3.6%) was in high category, 7 students (25%) were medium, and 20 students (71.4%) were low. While the results post-test showed that 7 students (25%) were in high category, 19 students (67.9%) were medium, and 2 students (7.1%) were in the low. This shows that there is a significant increase from the low category to the medium and high categories.

Abstract

The use of ICT became important after the government through a circular letter from the Minister of Education and Culture regarding the call for the implementation of online learning to prevent the transmission of Covid-19. Each educational institution including Universities PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) also issued a policy to conduct online learning in providing educational services. This research is descriptive qualitative because it is used to analyze the quality of learning in mathematics education study program through video-based eLMA. Data was collected by means of learning evaluation questionnaires and learning observations of basic mathematics studies, introduction to education, field geometry, and numerical methods. The Data analysis was carried out by reducing, presenting and drawing conclusions about the quality of learning in mathematics education study programs through video-based eLMA. The results of the study quality research showed that the results of the learning evaluation conducted by 4 lecturers who were in charge of basic mathematics studies, introduction to education, field geometry, and numerical methods were categorized as very good with successive scores of 3.65; 3.74; 3.64 and 3.68. The results of the observations of the internal quality assurance team also stated that the learning quality of the four courses was included in good criteria with recommendations maintained.

Abstract

Mathematics anxiety is an obstacle for students in carrying out mathematics learning, especially there are still students who think mathematics is a difficult and boring subject. The ability to understand mathematical concepts of each student is different. There are several influencing factors, one of which is the anxiety experienced by students when learning mathematics. Therefore, mathematics is one of the important lessons to be learned, not only students at school but also students who are studying in Islamic boarding schools. Some of the knowledge that students learn in Islamic boarding schools also requires mathematics. For example, when studying the science of zakat distribution, Faraid science, and the like. The students have applied the linkage of mathematical concepts with Islamic concepts studied by students in Islamic boarding schools. In this study, the data collection method used was a literature study. This method was used to obtain additional literature data from reference books regarding mathematics anxiety towards students. In fact, mathematics is a basic science that is important for the advancement of science and technology, and the concepts in learning mathematics are used in everyday life. The author tries to offer a solution to reduce the level of anxiety of students towards mathematics by conducting learning that integrates the Qur'an with mathematics using the QURMATICA method as a solution can be used to play and learn mathematics and to encourage students' enthusiasm in learning mathematics and students can reduce their mathematics anxiety.

Abstract

Improving the quality of human resources is the main supporting factor in increasing national productivity in various fields and development sectors. The government's productive investment activities that spur the nation's competitiveness in the global era prioritize Indonesia's education development. This study aims to cluster provinces in Indonesia based on educational indicators using the Agglomerative method consisting of the Average Linkage and Ward methods. Data collection is based on documentation techniques obtained from Statistics Indonesia in 2018. Data analysis used hierarchical cluster analysis consisting of data standardization, determining the size of the similarity or dissimilarity between data, the clustering process with a distance matrix, and seeing the characteristics of the cluster results formed. The second clustering method is by doing the initial grouping and determining the excellent cluster based on the average standard deviation ratio to the standard deviation between groups. Clustering results show the Ward method with the number of collections as many as 4 clusters and produces a ratio with a value of 0.01 smaller than the Average Linkage method. It shows that the cluster analysis method using the Ward method has better group accuracy quality than the Average Linkage method.
