Abstract

Management of PT Vale Indonesia Tbk's Community Development and Empowerment (PPM) funds in Development in Geresa Village, East Bungku District, Morowali Regency. This research was carried out using qualitative descriptive with a descriptive research type. The types of data are primary data and secondary data, this study uses the theory put forward by George R. Terry and Leslie W. Rue (2019) 5 management indicators, namely planning, organizing, staffing, motivation, and supervision. The results of the study show that the management of PPM funds is still not optimal in planning, village deliberations have been carried out, but transparency and community involvement are still lacking in management. The main obstacles in implementation are the lack of active community participation and the lack of realization of the input proposed by the community. From the organizational aspect, the Activity Management Team (TPK) faces coordination constraints, time efficiency, as well as external factors such as weather and limited technology capabilities. The selection of the Activity Management Team (TPK) is carried out through village deliberations and determined by the Decree of the Village Head, but the challenge of transparency in fund management still exists. In terms of motivation, payment systems and incentives have been implemented, in supervision, monitoring is carried out by the village government and PT Vale, but community involvement in the audit is still low. Overall, the main challenges in managing PPM funds are transparency, community engagement, and program effectiveness. Improvements in planning, coordination, and supervision are needed so that PPM funds provide maximum benefits to the village community.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of shrimp farming companies on society and the environment to achieve prosperity for the community and not damage the environment. Law Article 74 Number 40 of 2007 concerning limited liability companies regulates the obligation of social and environmental responsibility in Lingadan Village. This study uses Jeremy Nicholls' theory with three indicators, namely social impact, economic impact, environmental impact. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with a descriptive type, which collects data through interviews with related parties, including company employees and local residents of Lingadan Village. The results of the study indicate that the existence of shrimp ponds provides economic benefits for some people through employment opportunities and increased income. Social conflict also arises due to inequality of benefits and access to resources. This study recommends the need for more sustainable pond management and more intensive socialization to the community in order to minimize negative impacts and increase benefits for all residents of Lingadan Village.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the drug abuse prevention strategies implemented by the National Narcotics Agency of Donggala Regency (BNNK Donggala). The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. To analyze BNNK Donggala’s strategies in preventing drug abuse, this study adopts Kooten’s theory, which consists of four strategic types: Organizational Strategy, Program Strategy, Resource Support Strategy, and Institutional Strategy. The types of data used include primary and secondary data, collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research findings show that the strategies implemented by BNNK Donggala are an extension of the national policies set by the central National Narcotics Agency (BNN), adapted to local conditions through mapping of drug-prone areas, community reports, surveys, and cross-sector coordination. The program targets are divided into two categories: individuals who have never used drugs and those who have tried or experimented with them. Prevention strategies for the first group are carried out through education and outreach, while the second group is approached through outpatient rehabilitation efforts. The main programs implemented include the Desa Bersinar (Drug-Free Village) Program, the Peer Teen Program (RTS), and the Anti-Drug Family Resilience Program. These programs emphasize community collaboration, the role of youth as agents of change, and the strengthening of family roles in early prevention. In addition, BNNK Donggala also conducts outreach through social media and direct field activities. For rehabilitation, outpatient services are provided through a clinic with procedures including interviews, screening, urine tests, and assessments. Clients with severe addiction are referred to the inpatient rehabilitation center in Makassar. Supporting strategies include human resource management, utilization of operational facilities, and institutional strengthening through cross-sectoral collaboration and the use of information technology, all of which contribute to the implementation of the program. In practice, BNNK Donggala adopts an integrated approach comprising preventive, repressive, and rehabilitative measures. Despite facing limitations in budget and personnel, synergy between the government, community, and stakeholders is a key factor in the success of the program.
