Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program under the Astra Cerdas pillar at PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk as a form of corporate social responsibility in the field of education. The study employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation, documentation, and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs). The Astra Cerdas Program is implemented in the company’s Ring-1 area, which includes Gunungsari Village, Pakawa Village, Ako Village, Ngovi Village, and Pasangkayu Subdistrict. The research findings indicate that the implementation of the Astra Cerdas CSR program is not only focused on providing educational assistance but is also directed toward sustainable social development. The programs implemented include scholarships for high-achieving students and underprivileged families, capacity building for educators, the construction of educational facilities and infrastructure, the development of Adiwiyata Schools, the Love Pink program, and special education for the Bunggu indigenous community through tutoring and the Kejar Paket program. These programs have a positive impact on improving access to education, the quality of learning, environmental awareness, and community empowerment in the areas surrounding the company’s operations. The implementation of the Astra Cerdas program demonstrates that CSR can serve as a strategic tool in fostering harmonious relationships between the company and the community while supporting the development of high-quality human resources

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Indonesia Green Program through the Astra Hijau pillar carried out by PT Pasangkayu in ring 1 villages within the company’s operational area. This research is motivated by the importance of implementing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs in supporting environmental preservation and sustainable development. The research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive research type. Data collection techniques were conducted through Focus Group Discussions (FGD) to obtain information regarding community perceptions, participation, and experiences related to the implementation of the company’s environmental programs. The results showed that the implementation of the Indonesia Green Program was carried out through several main activities, including clean water assistance, waste management and environmental revitalization, ecobrick programs, greening and tree seedling assistance, environmental education, and environmental infrastructure development. These programs had a positive impact on improving environmental quality and increasing public awareness in preserving the environment. In addition, the community development approach implemented by the company encouraged community involvement in program implementation, thereby supporting the sustainability of environmental activities in the assisted villages. However, the implementation of the program still faced several obstacles, such as budget limitations, uneven distribution of programs across all ring 1 villages, and differences in community participation levels in each area. Therefore, stronger coordination between the company, village government, and the community is needed so that the implementation of environmental CSR programs can run more optimally, participatively, and sustainably.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs by PT Pasangkayu in supporting the development of the creative economy in West Sulawesi. The research background is rooted in Indonesia’s national vision, Asta Cita, which positions the creative economy as a pillar of inclusive and sustainable development. The objective of this study is to analyze the contribution of Astra Kreatif programs to local community empowerment, particularly in enhancing economic independence and strengthening social solidarity. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, using Focus Group Discussions (FGD) with company employees to explore perceptions, experiences, challenges, and socio-economic impacts of the CSR initiatives. The findings reveal that Astra Kreatif successfully strengthened the capacity of palm oil farmer groups, created diversified non-palm businesses (catfish farming, chili cultivation, poultry, and mushroom production), and fostered the growth of local MSMEs. These initiatives directly benefited 475 households across four target villages, generating new employment opportunities, increasing household income, and empowering women and youth in village-based economies. The implications highlight that creativity-driven CSR is not merely a corporate obligation but also a catalyst for inclusive and sustainable rural economic development, aligning with the broader vision of Indonesia Kreatif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan program Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) dalam pilar Astra Sehat yang dijalankan oleh PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk melalui unit usaha PT Pasangkayu di Kabupaten Pasangkayu, Provinsi Sulawesi Barat. Metode yang dipakai adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui dokumentasi dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Program Astra Sehat dilaksanakan di wilayah Ring-1 perusahaan yang mencakup Desa Gunungsari, Desa Pakawa, Desa Ako, Desa Ngovi, dan Kelurahan Pasangkayu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program Astra Sehat mencakup berbagai kegiatan kesehatan yang berfokus pada penguatan posyandu sebagai ujung tombak pelayanan kesehatan masyarakat. Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan antara lain pemberian insentif dan pelatihan bagi kader posyandu, penyaluran Pemberian Makanan Tambahan (PMT) untuk balita dan ibu hamil, penyediaan sarana dan prasarana kesehatan bagi posyandu dan puskesmas yang dibina, serta upaya percepatan penurunan stunting. Program ini mendukung pelayanan kesehatan masyarakat, penguatan kapasitas kader, dan mendukung upaya perbaikan status gizi masyarakat di sekitar wilayah operasional perusahaan. Pelaksanaan Astra Sehat menunjukkan bahwa CSR dapat menjadi upaya mendukung pembangunan kesehatan masyarakat sekaligus memperkuat hubungan sosial antara perusahaan dan komunitas lokal.
