Abstract

Abstract

Assessment of speaking skills must be conducted objectively, systematically, and thoroughly to provide students with appropriate feedback that can improve their performance. One recommended form of authentic assessment is formative assessment. This study aims to analyse the implementation of formative assessment in evaluating the speaking skills of fourth-grade elementary school students in Indonesian language learning, using a qualitative descriptive approach with data collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and rubric-based assessment. The participants comprised one teacher and thirty students, with four selected for in-depth interviews. The findings revealed that formative assessment was implemented systematically through criteria-based rubrics, oral and written feedback, observation notes, and student reflection. Most students achieved speaking scores in the good to very good category, particularly in content and fluency. Formative assessment helped students gradually identify their weaknesses, improve their speaking performance, and develop reflective learning awareness. The results of this study support the use of formative assessment as a constructive evaluation approach in elementary-level language learning.

Abstract

Technology integration in education has changed learning, including Civic Education (PKn). This change raises the need for a systematic study to understand the direction and development of digital-based civil society research. This study uses a bibliometric approach to scientific publications indexed in the Scopus database from 2004 to 2025. The data was analyzed with the help of R-Biblioshiny, OpenRefine, and VOSviewer software to visually map research trends and patterns. There has been a significant increase in publications since 2017, with an average annual growth of 16.78%. Spain, the United States, and Indonesia are the countries with the highest publication contributions. The Journal of Citizenship Teaching & Learning and the Journal of Civics are the main sources of publications. The dominant keywords include digital citizenship, civic engagement, critical thinking, and values education. Global collaboration between researchers and institutions has been identified, although cross-border collaboration is still limited. This study provides a comprehensive overview of the dynamics of digital-based PKn research. The findings can be a strategic basis for education policy development, learning innovation, and further research.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyse the relationship between interest and mathematics learning outcomes of class V students at SD Negeri 66 Bengkulu City. The type of research used is quantitative with correlation methods. The sample in this research was 50 students from class V of SD Negeri 66 Bengkulu City. Data collection techniques in this research used questionnaire techniques and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique uses the r test and the Pearson correlation test with the help of the Statistical Product for Servicer Solution (SPSS) 22 program. Based on the research results from the questionnaire for variable amounted to 0.279 and obtained a calculated r value of 0.843. So r calculated 0.843 > r table 0.279 so it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. From the results of the Pearson correlation calculation, it is 0.843, which means that the degree of relationship between interest and mathematics learning outcomes has a very strong relationship and the direction of the relationship is positive, which means that the greater the student's interest, the greater the value they will obtain and vice versa.

Abstract

This review delves into the multifaceted realm of Project-Based Learning (PBL), aiming to provide a comprehensive understanding of its objectives, methodologies, and implications. The study draws on a meticulous examination of existing literature through document analysis and the review of researches centred on PBL. The primary aim of the research is to discern the key objectives pursued by educators and institutions employing PBL as a pedagogical approach. The method of data collection involves an extensive review of scholarly articles, academic papers, and educational reports, spanning various disciplines and educational levels. By synthesizing information from diverse sources, this study aims to construct a nuanced picture of the aims that PBL seeks to achieve, encompassing cognitive, affective, and skill-based learning outcomes. The analysis phase employs a qualitative approach to identify recurring themes, patterns, and variations in the aims of PBL across different educational contexts. Additionally, the study scrutinizes the methodologies adopted in various researches to assess the effectiveness of PBL, examining factors such as project design, assessment strategies, and student engagement. The findings reveal a range of objectives associated with PBL, including fostering critical thinking skills, enhancing collaboration, and promoting real-world applicability of knowledge. Furthermore, the analysis sheds light on the diversity of methodologies employed in PBL research, showcasing the adaptability of this pedagogical approach across disciplines and educational settings. In conclusion, this review consolidates the aims of PBL, highlights the varied methodologies used to assess its impact, and discusses the implications for future educational practices. By synthesizing current knowledge on PBL, this study contributes to the ongoing dialogue surrounding effective pedagogical strategies, providing insights for educators, researchers, and policymakers seeking to optimize learning experiences through project-based approaches.
