Abstract

In the era of digitalization, Wi-Fi networks have become an essential need for government agencies, including the General Elections Supervisory Agency. This study aims to analyze the performance of the Wi-Fi network at the BAWASLU Office in East Nusa Tenggara using Quality of Service (QoS) parameters such as throughput, delay, and packet loss, with the Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC) method approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and literature studies. The test results showed that the performance of the Wi-Fi network was measured in varying categories depending on the parameters tested. Factors such as the number of users, the physical condition of the building, and device configuration affect the quality of network services. Based on the analysis, this study provides recommendations for optimizing network performance, including increasing bandwidth capacity and setting traffic management. This study is expected to be a reference for network management in other government agencies.

Abstract

Green houses are closed agricultural facilities that rely heavily on stable temperature and environmental conditions to support optimal plant growth. Temperatures above 30°C can cause plant stress and reduce productivity, especially in coastal areas such as Kupang City where temperatures vary from 22°C to 34.9°C. Therefore, a reliable and adaptive temperature regulation system is needed. This research aims to design and implement an Internet of Things (IoT)-based air temperature monitoring and normalization system using NodeMCU ESP32, DHT22 sensor, anemometer, and rain sensor. The system is able to read real-time temperature and wind speed conditions and activate the cooling fan automatically when the temperature exceeds a predetermined threshold. Environmental data is sent via Telegram, enabling efficient remote monitoring. The implementation results show that the system can work stably and responsively to temperature changes, thus supporting optimal and sustainable green house management.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji masalah utama dalam ketidakstabilan dan variasi kecepatan pengiriman data pada aplikasi multimedia streaming ketika menggunakan protokol Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) dan User Datagram Prtotocol (UDP). Meskipun TCP dikenal andal dalam pengiriman data berkat mekanisme kontrolnya yang ketat, protkol ini sering dianggap kurang optimal untuk aplikasi real-time seperti streaming. Sedangkan UDP yang lebih ringan dan cepat, lebih cocok untuk aplikasi real-time tetapi rentan terhadap kehilangan data. Hal ini menimbulkan tantangan dalam menentukan protokol yang optimal untuk mendukung kebutuhan aplikasi multimedia streaming yang memerlukan throughput tinggi, latensi rendah dan jitter yang minimal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis performa pengiriman data multimedia streaming menggunakan protokol TCP dan UDP dalam hal throughput, latensi dan jitter, serta mengidentifikasi protokol yang lebih efektif untuk aplikasi tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi studi literatur, observasi langsung terhadap operasi aplikasi multimedia streaming, wawancara dengan ahli jaringan, serta simulasi dan pengujian langsung menggunakan aplikasi multimedia streaming data yang diperoleh dianalisis untuk mengidentifikasi masalah performa jaringan dan mengevalusi kinerja kedua protokol. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat memberikan rekomendasi mengenai protokol yang lebih sesuai untuk aplikasi multimedia streaming serta menjadi dasar pengembangan solusi jaringan yang lebih optimal di masa depan.

Abstract

The use of Augmented Reality (AR) technology in tourism promotion offers new opportunities for presenting destination information interactively. Fulan Fehan, a destination located in Belu Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, is known for its beautiful savanna grasslands and historical significance. However, this tourism potential has not been optimally utilized due to limited promotional efforts and a lack of engaging and easily accessible information for tourists. This study aims to design an AR-based application to address these issues by providing a visual experience through 3D animations, tourist object information, and interactive features via Android devices. The implementation of the Waterfall software development method ensures that the design process is carried out systematically, starting from requirement analysis to design and implementation. This application serves as an effective promotional medium, offering new insights for tourists and supporting increased interest in the Fulan Fehan tourist destination.

Abstract

Digital data security has become a crucial aspect in an era where information exchange is increasingly open, especially within government institutions that handle sensitive internal documents and messages. In the context of the Military Court III-15 Kupang, a security mechanism is required to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of messages during internal data transmission. This study applies a combination of the Least Significant Bit (LSB) steganography method and the Advanced Encryption Standard 256-bit (AES-256) cryptographic algorithm to enhance the security of text messages. The text message is first encrypted using AES-256 to generate ciphertext, which is then embedded into a Portable Network Graphics (PNG) image by manipulating the least significant bits of its pixels using the LSB method. The result of this research is a web-based application implementing LSB steganography and AES-256 cryptography for securing image files, specifically designed to support the internal information security needs of the Military Court III-15 Kupang. The combination of both methods provides a dual-layer security mechanism, ensuring that the hidden message remains protected even if the image file is transferred or accessed by unauthorized parties.
