Abstract

For the company to progress and develop, in addition to improving its production process, the company must always pay attention to the distribution of the products produced. The company must choose and determine which method to use. The transportation method used will affect the price of the product sold to consumers. This study aims to determine the transportation or distribution model of the OSAD rice milling factory in Bandung Regency. The company makes total shipments from three rice milling factory warehouses to several marketing destinations, namely: Bandung, Bandung Regency, Cimahi, and Bandung Regency. West Bandung, then used three types of transportation methods, namely the North West Corner Method (NWCR}, the Least Cost Method, and the third is Vogel's Approximation Method (VAM). The results of the three methods are then compared with the shipping costs usually carried out by the company, namely shipping with costs that always change depending on the bargaining with the shipping service. The results of this study are, using NWCR: Rp. 2,900,000, using Least Cost: Rp. 2,530,000, while using VAM: Rp. 2,520,000. so the cheapest shipping cost from the three factories is using Vogel's Approximation Method (VAM). The results of the three methods are cheaper when compared to the shipping that the company usually does before using the three methods, which ranges from Rp. 3,000,000 to Rp. 4,000,000

Abstract

Clothing is no longer just a common thing, but also requires aesthetics and attractive designs that can increase the wearer's confidence. Along with the development of the times, people are increasingly selective in choosing products. The clothing industry must take advantage of this opportunity by continuing to innovate in creating new, unique and high-quality clothing models, in order to meet market needs and compete well. This study aims to measure the level of product quality produced due to the influence of Product Design and Process Design on the Quality of Shirt Products at PT.Nirwana Indo Apparell. This research was conducted with a quantitative approach. The methods applied are descriptive and verification analysis. Data were collected through company data, literature studies and distributing questionnaires to 60 respondents and their calculations using the SPSS 26 program. Data analysis was carried out using the path analysis method. Based on the results of the study, it was found that product design is included in the fairly good category, process design is included in the fairly good category, and product quality is also included in the fairly good category. In addition, Product Design also has an influence on product quality, as well as process design which affects product quality. Overall, product design and process design simultaneously affect product quality.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the largest producers of palm oil commodities in the world. Massive palm oil production to meet high demand can pose risks in increasing waste production. The processing of solid palm oil waste into liquid smoke through pyrolysis is carried out as an effort to mitigate environmental damage caused by greenhouse gases. Components in liquid smoke can be utilized as natural insecticides. This research aims to determine the potential of liquid smoke from solid palm oil waste, namely fiber and frond, to control Spodoptera frugiperda. The testing method uses a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with 11 treatments repeated three times. Liquid smoke application is done by dipping the feed, which is then given to S. frugiperda instar II. The results show that liquid smoke from fronds causes higher mortality in S. frugiperda compared to liquid smoke from fibers. At a concentration of 4%, liquid smoke from fronds and fibers caused S. frugiperda mortality of 63.33% and 40%, respectively. Liquid smoke application also suppressed feed consumption by 72.98% lower than the control and caused an extension of time from instar II-VI at the 4% application concentration. The use of liquid smoke from palm fronds and fibers can be used as an insecticide as one of the pest control techniques and a solution for utilizing palm oil waste.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of Work Life Balance and Work Motivation on Employee Performance. This study used a population of 41 employees working in the Lab Clinic of PT Biofit Putra Bandung using descriptive and verification methods. The data collection technique used by the researcher was to use primary and secondary data sources in the form of questionnaires given to employees of the Lab Clinic of PT Biofit Putra Bandung. The analysis used was path analysis using SPSS software version 27 The results of this study indicate that the variables of Work Life Balance is considered quite good, Work Motivation is considered quite good and Employee Performance is considered quite good. The verification show that Work Life Balance affects Employee Performance, Work Motivation affects Employee Performance and there is an effect of Work Life Balance and Work Motivation on Employee Performance in the clinical lab section of PT. Biofit Putra.

Abstract

This study focuses on evaluating the yield and characteristics of liquid smoke obtained from palm kernel shell, mesocarp fiber, and oil palm frond biomass. The objective of the research is to determine both the percentage yield of liquid smoke produced per gram of palm oil solid waste and characterize the compounds present in the liquid smoke. Solid samples of palm oil waste components (shells, fibers, and fronds) were prepared and subjected to pyrolysis using Distillation Cyclone technology. Liquid smoke produced was then analyzed to determine the concentration of phenolic compounds. The study found that the yield of liquid smoke varied among different palm oil solid waste components, with a higher yield observed from oil palm shell biomass compared to others. Furthermore, the liquid smoke from all three biomass sources exhibited significant concentrations of phenolic compounds, indicating its potential as a natural pesticide ingredient. This research highlights the potential of utilizing palm oil solid waste for value-added products such as liquid smoke, contributing to waste management and sustainable agricultural practices. The findings provide insights for further research and development of eco-friendly pest control solutions utilizing liquid smoke-derived compounds.

Abstract

Tourism is a key driver of economic growth, supported by the accommodation sector, including innovations such as condotels like ApVoucher that combine apartment and hotel functions. However, due to unpredictable sales fluctuations and intense competition, companies need proper planning, with sales forecasting playing an important role in estimating future sales. This study Aims to analyze and compare the level of accuracy for increasing sales to help in preparing plans and reducing demand uncertainty. The forecasting method used is the moving average method that works by averaging previous data to produce a stable pattern and the exponential smoothing method that works by giving greater weight to the latest data so that it is more responsive to changes. The study used a population in the form of historical data on condotel (Hotel) sales by applying the 3-month moving average method and the exponential smoothing method with a constant of 0>1. The analysis was carried out to determine the error rate value through the Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD) and Mean Squared Error (MSE). The research results show that the moving average method is more effective in sales conditions that tend to be stable by producing lower accuracy values. This shows that the effectiveness of the method is influenced by data characteristics.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis penerapan metode Trend Linear dan Moving Average dalam memperkirakan jumlah produksi produk Antiheatstress, serta membandingkan kedua metode tersebut untuk memntukan metode yang lebih efektif dalam mendukung pengambilan keputusan produksi. metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan analisis deskriptif dan deret waktu. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan meliputi metode trend Linear dan Simple Moving Average sebagai alat peramalan, serta pengukuran tingkat kesalahan menggunakan Mean Asolute Deviation (MAD), Mean Squared Error dan Mean Asolute Percentage error (MAPE). Hasil penelitian menunnjukkan kedua metode memiliki akurasi yang baik, ditunjukkan oleh nilai MAPE yang berada di bawah 10%. Trend Linear menghasilkan MAD sebesar 266,83, MSE sebesar 177.293,33 dan MAPE sebesar 8,70747%. Sedangkan Moving Average menghasilkan nilai MAD sebesar 281,33, MSE sebesar 144.882,44 dan MAPE sebesar 8,79431%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut metode Trend Linear memiliki tingkat kesalahan yang lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan metode Moving Average, sehingga dinilai lebih akurat dalam melakuka peramalan. Selain itu, metode Trend Liner mampu menunjukkan kecendrungan peningkatan produksi secara lebih jelas, sedangkan Moving Average lebih mencerminkan pola jangka pendek. Dengan demikian metode Trend Linear dinilai lebih efektif digunakan untuk memperkirakan jumlah produksi serta mendukung perencanaan dan pengambilan keputusan produksi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan membandingkan efektivitas metode Just In Time (JIT) dan Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) dalam pengendalian persediaan bahan baku pada Pabrik Kerupuk Ria Jaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dan menggunakan data kebutuhan bahan baku tepung tapioka selama satu tahun. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah metode Just In Time (JIT) dan Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) untuk menentukan jumlah pemesanan, frekuensi pemesanan, serta total biaya persediaan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa metode JIT menghasilkan frekuensi pemesanan yang lebih tinggi dengan pemesanan yang lebih kecil serta total biaya persediaan yang lebih rendah, sedangkan metode EOQ menghasilkan jumlah pemesanan yang lebih besar dengan frekuensi yang lebih rendah serta dilengkapi dengan safety stock dan reorder point yang mampu menjaga kestabilan ketersediaan bahan baku. Berdasarkan hasil perbandingan, metode EOQ dinilai lebih efektif dalam pengendalian persediaan bahan baku karena mampu menjaga keseimbangan antara ketersediaan bahan baku dan kebutuhan produksi serta mendukung kelancaran proses produksi secara lebih stabil.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan tingkat akurasi metode Moving Average dan Exponential Smoothing dalam peramalan penjualan teh pada PT Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero). Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis deret waktu (time series) berdasarkan data sekunder penjualan teh tahunan periode 2017–2024. Peramalan dilakukan menggunakan metode Moving Average dan Single Exponential Smoothing, sedangkan akurasi diukur menggunakan Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD), Mean Squared Error (MSE), dan Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). Pengolahan data menggunakan perangkat lunak POM-QM for Windows versi 5. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua metode dapat digunakan untuk peramalan berdasarkan data historis. Metode Moving Average periode 4 menghasilkan kesalahan paling rendah, yaitu MAD sebesar 35.925,06, MSE sebesar 1.964.862.000, dan MAPE sebesar 4,149%. Sementara itu, Exponential Smoothing dengan α = 0,3 menghasilkan MAD sebesar 50.724,19, MSE sebesar 3.523.359.000, dan MAPE sebesar 5,851%. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa Moving Average periode 4 memiliki tingkat akurasi yang lebih baik. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pemilihan metode peramalan perlu disesuaikan dengan karakteristik data, khususnya pada data yang berfluktuasi tanpa tren yang kuat. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai dasar pertimbangan dalam perencanaan produksi dan pengendalian persediaan.
