Abstract

This study aims to determine whether or not the use and development of the self-assessment instrument is relevant to Micro Teaching learning in the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program. This research belongs to the type of research and development (R&D) with a quantitative approach that aims to describe the results of systematically developing student self-assessment instruments. The sample in this study were students of the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program class of 2016 to 2018 who had taken Micro Teaching lessons. Data collection in this study used a survey technique by distributing questionnaires to students of the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program. The instrument used in this study is a Likert scale instrument consisting of 5 servqual dimensions. The data analysis technique used in this research is Rasch Modeling using Ministep Evaluation/Student Version of Winsteps 4.8.2.0 software. For the results of the study, it can be seen from the validity that the value of Infit MNSQ, Infit ZSTD, Outfit MNSQ, Outfit ZSTD in addition to the value of Reliability and Cronbach's Error from the respondent (person) and the instrument (item). The validity obtained from the MNSQ Infit +1.00, ZSTD Infit -0.8, MNSQ Outfit +1.00, ZSTD Outfit -0.7 for respondents. As for the validity of the instrument the value of Infit MNSQ +1.00, Infit ZSTD -0.8, Outfit MNSQ +1.00, Outfit ZSTD -0.7. The results obtained are Fit/valid based on the criteria in the Rasch modeling. The reliability obtained for respondents is 0.63, while the instrument reliability is 0.92. The results obtained from the respondents are weak based on the criteria, but in this research the results of the instruments with criteria are very good. Cronbach's alpha for the respondent obtained 0.66 while for the instrument it was 0.81 which means that the interaction between the respondent and the instrument is quite good.

Abstract

Precision is very important in the welding process to ensure that the welding results are strong and accurate. A sturdy and well-designed welding table is essential to maintain workpiece stability and precision in welding operations. The method used in this research is Research and Development (RnD) with the ADDIE model. This research aims to design a welding table with the application of electromagnetic magnets through literature study, design and testing of welding table prototypes. The result of the research is a welding table product with the application of electromagnetic magnets. Testing shows the use of electromagnetic magnets on the welding table can improve the stability and accuracy of welding results. This study also obtained data on user/practitioner satisfaction after using a welding table with electromagnetic magnets based on 12 important aspects which include Purpose, Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound, Innovative, Functional, Efficiency, Reliability, Ease of Use, and Safety.

Abstract

Recent research highlights the increasingly important role of chatbots in educational transformation. Through literature reviews and empirical studies, researchers have revealed that the use of chatbots in the educational context provides significant benefits for both teachers and students. From the perspective of educators, chatbots can enhance learning efficiency, facilitate interactions with students, and boost creativity in the teaching process. Meanwhile, students also experience increased accessibility to learning materials, efficiency in completing tasks, and improved interaction with learning materials. However, challenges such as the required preparation and training, as well as the need for verification of information provided by chatbots, remain a primary concern. Recommendations include enhancing preparation and training, developing more advanced chatbot technology, improving information verification, and fostering collaboration between research and educational practitioners to address challenges and maximize the potential of chatbots in future education.

Abstract

Industrial Work Practice Experience can provide skills and additional knowledge for students to be ready to work. This is because students have seen and are used to the real world of work. When students carry out Industrial Work Practices, students are required to be serious in doing a job so that they have experience that can be useful in the future. If the student is not serious, the student will not be used to the actual world of work environment and the student's skills will be lacking, so there will be no Job Readiness after the student graduates later. This research is a research using quantitative research methods. This research was conducted at the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program FKIP UPR which was carried out for one Even Semester of the 2021/2022 Academic Year. The population in this study were all students of the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program, FKIP, University of Palangka Raya who had taken industrial work practices from class 2015 to 2019, totaling 148 people. Then the sample will be taken to be a total of 28 samples of Mechanical Engineering Education students at the University of Palangka Raya.Based on the results of calculating the correlation coefficient as follows: r 0.996 100% based on these results there is a positive correlation of 0.996, so the conclusion is that there is a positive relationship and the value of the correlation coefficient between student automotive practice skills and automotive laboratory management is 0.996. The reliability value of the statement items in the questionnaire for each variable being studied is greater than 0.70. This result indicates that the statement items in the questionnaire are reliable for measuring the variables. Based on the results of the calculation of variable X with a significant level of α 0.05 and dk k-1 21, the value of X²table is 32.671, it turns out that X²count X²table or 3472 32.671 for variable X is normally distributed. And based on the results of the calculation of the Y variable with a significant level of α 0.05 and dk k-1 21, the X²table value is 32.671, it turns out that X²count X²table or 3301 32.671, for the Y variable is normally distributed. The results of the hypothesis test show that variable X (student automotive practice ability) has a significant effect on variable Y (Readiness to Face the World of Automotive Work) and means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

The purpose of inventory is to maintain office infrastructure and facilitate inventory control activities regarding their use. The laboratory of the Mechanical Engineering Education study program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Palangka Raya University has assets in the form of equipment and materials for student practicums. These assets must be managed well so that existing equipment and materials can be controlled properly. Therefore, the aim of this research is to create an equipment inventory application in the form of Microsoft Access. The use of an inventory application in the form of Microsoft Access is expected to make it easier for laboratory heads to control existing equipment and materials. The research method used is the ADDIE R&D model with the following stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. The results of the research are a laboratory equipment inventory application that has been validated by media experts at 86.66%, material experts at 92.5%, and user response at 88.38% with the conclusion that it is very suitable for use.
