Abstract

This community engagement programme aimed to strengthen the competitiveness of Indonesian micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the Malaysian market through practical entrepreneurship training for Indonesian citizens in Kuala Lumpur and its surrounding areas. The programme was implemented at Rumah Hamka Malaysia and involved 30 existing and prospective entrepreneurs from various business sectors. Using a participatory training approach, the activities focused on target market identification, product attractiveness, business integrity, packaging improvement, and cost-effective promotional strategies. Evaluation was conducted through pre-test and post-test assessments, observation, worksheets, participant feedback, and satisfaction questionnaires. The data were analysed using descriptive analysis and a paired-samples t-test. The results showed a statistically significant improvement in participants’ understanding after the programme. Participants became more capable of identifying market segments, formulating product value, building customer trust, improving packaging presentation, and designing simple promotional messages. This programme concludes that community-based practical training can support Indonesian diaspora entrepreneurs and strengthen the competitiveness of Indonesian micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in Malaysia.

Abstract

Education plays a central role in shaping behavior and enhancing individual knowledge and skills, including in the field of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). Program evaluation serves as a crucial component of the learning process to assess the effectiveness of educational initiatives. This study aimed to evaluate the Dhuha prayer habituation program implemented at SMPIT Nur Hidayah Surakarta by applying Kirkpatrick’s four-level evaluation model, which includes reaction, learning, behavior, and results. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicated that the Dhuha prayer habituation program had a positive impact on improving students’ understanding of sunnah prayer materials, fostering behavioral discipline, and cultivating spiritual values in daily life. The application of Kirkpatrick’s model proved effective in providing a comprehensive overview of the program’s success. This study contributes theoretically by reinforcing the relevance of the Kirkpatrick model in evaluating religious and character-based education programs, and practically by offering insights for educators and policymakers in designing holistic Islamic education programs that integrate spiritual and behavioral development.

Abstract

Higher education demands that students not only master knowledge but also actualize their ideas through scientific works, including journal article publications. However, low literacy interest, lack of writing skills, and limited understanding of the publication process present major student challenges. This study aims to examine and develop innovative strategies to enhance students' scientific writing skills as an alternative to thesis writing to support the achievement of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in accredited scientific publications. This research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method, conducted through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was done through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, employing triangulation of techniques and sources. The results show that journal publication plays a strategic role in shaping students' academic culture. However, challenges such as low literacy, lack of mentoring, and low motivation remain significant barriers. Study programs have implemented writing workshops, intensive mentoring, incentive provision, and hands-on writing practice to encourage student productivity. It can be concluded that strategies based on active practice, lecturer-student collaboration, and support through facilities and incentives effectively improve the quality of students' journal publications. The implementation of these strategies not only improves students' writing skills but also strengthens a productive and collaborative academic culture within higher education institutions. Furthermore, this approach accelerates the achievement of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in research and scientific publications.

Abstract

This study uses bibliometric analysis to explore research on digital technology–based religious learning from Scopus-indexed publications between 2009 and 2025. The growth of technology, accessibility of digital devices, and learning innovations have driven increasing research output, while challenges such as low digital literacy, technological barriers, and online misinformation remain key issues. By analyzing 133 English-language journal articles with Scopus Analyzer, R, RStudio, and VOSviewer, this study identifies research trends, effectiveness, and challenges in integrating digital technology into religious education. Results show a significant rise in publications from 2019 to 2025, indicating growing academic and practical interest. Indonesia contributed the most publications, with Malaysia showing strong international collaboration. Thematic mapping revealed key clusters such as digital transformation, challenges, and machine learning, reflecting emerging directions and innovation potential in technology-based religious learning. This study highlights opportunities for future research to enhance collaboration, promote innovation in digital religious education, and serve as a reference for ongoing studies in this increasingly vital field.
