Adapun hasil pengabdian masyarakat ini penderita DM dapat memenuhi manajemen nutrisinya sendiri sehingga KGD stabil dan kualitas hidup lebih terjaga. Abstract Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disease characterized by an increase in blood sugar levels. Abnormalities in insulin secretion, insulin action, or both are causes of elevated blood glucose levels. Management of diabetes mellitus must be handled properly, to avoid complications. The management of the five pillars of diabetes mellitus control is applied to prevent complications and improve the quality of life of diabetics. Diabetics have five pillars that must be adhered to. One of the pillars of DM patients is nutritional management. Nutritional settings that can be taught to DM sufferers by controlling the 3J diet include the amount, schedule and type. The purpose of community service is to provide health education to DM patients about nutrition management in maintaining the stability of KGD values. The method of activity used in this community service starts from delivering material related to understanding, signs, symptoms, complications and their handling, especially the fulfillment of nutrition for DM patients, checking blood glucose values and evaluating the results of its implementation. As for the results of this community service, DM sufferers can fulfill their own nutritional management so that KGD is stable and quality of life is better maintained.

Abstract

The results of a survey of the world community and in Indonesia, the most common disease and the most common cause of death is heart disease. Data from the World Health Organization (WHO) shows the prevalence that males experience more heart disease than females. Systemic and pulmonary disorders often occur because blood flow fails to enter the tissues due to failure of the heart pump, which affects the patient's hemodynamics. Changes in position have an impact on changes in central venous pressure values. The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not there was an effect of giving a combination of semi-Fowler's position with right lateral to changes in hemodynamic status of heart failure patients. Quasi experiment with one group pre test and post test method was used in this study. There were 10 respondents who were sampled using the quota sampling technique. This research was conducted at GrandMed Lubuk Pakam Hospital. The measuring instrument used in this study is an observation sheet. Data analysis was performed using paired simple T test. The results of this study obtained a p value = 0.001, this indicates that there is an effect of giving a combination of semi-Fowler's position with right lateral to changes in hemodynamic status in heart failure patients. Semi-Fowler's and lateral position actions help reduce oxygen consumption and increase maximum lung expansion and overcome damage to gas exchange so that it can reduce tightness and affect hemodynamic status. It is expected that nurses will provide education to patients so they want to change the semi-fowler's position with a right lateral combination in order to improve the patient's hemodynamic quality.

Abstract

Hypertension is a health disorder that causes an increase in blood pressure. Hypertension can cause serious complications in the form of stroke. These significant complications can be life threatening and even death. Stroke is a global health problem with more than 15 million people annually experiencing this condition worldwide. This study was conducted on 30 individuals who visited the Pagar Jati Community Health Center, using the accidental sampling method, to explore the contribution of community participation in increasing awareness about hypertension and promoting preventive behavior. Through outreach activities and public campaigns, community participation has succeeded in increasing understanding of the importance of regular health check-ups by checking blood pressure and consuming foods with balanced nutrition, including low salt, thereby preventing hypertension. Evaluating the effectiveness of the community service program using a questionnaire showed an increase from 70% at the pretest stage to 93% at the posttest stage. This reflects a significant increase in awareness, knowledge and preventive measures against complications of hypertension, such as stroke, in the community areas served by health community center (Puskesmas) Pagar Jati. Collaboration between health workers, local government, educational institutions and the community is the key to the success of this program. Although challenges remain such as limited access and inequality of information, community service has proven to be an effective tool in strengthening the community response to hypertension and advancing overall community health.

Abstract

Cardiovascular disease, also known as heart disease, generally refers to conditions involving narrowing or blockage of blood vessels that can lead to heart attack, chest pain (angina), or stroke. Other heart conditions that affect the muscles, valves, or rhythm of the heart are also considered forms of heart disease. Rest and sleep are a major part of physical and mental health. Every individual who is in the hospital will have poor quality sleep if the results are compared to people who sleep at home. This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of foot massage and progressive muscle relaxation on sleep quality in congestive heart failure (CHF) patients in the CVCU ward of Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital. This research uses a semi-experimental (semi-trial) type of research with a one-group pre-trial study design, the intervention carried out using this method uses two groups. The first group consisted of CHF patients with decreased sleep quality and foot massage. The second group consisted of CHF patients with a gradual decrease in sleep quality and muscle relaxation. Based on the Wilcoxon test above, the test results with p-value are obtained:0.004 means p < 0.05 so it can be concluded that progressive foot and muscle massage has a significant effect on the sleep quality of congestive heart attack (CHF) patients at GrandMed Lubuk Pacam Hospital. It is recommended that patients who experience sleep disorders, especially CHF patients, massage their feet before going to bed.
