Abstract

Back pain is one of the discomforts of pregnant women in the form of pain that occurs in the lumbosacral area. One way to reduce discomfort is exercise during pregnancy, one of which is yoga. Yoga in pregnancy describes specific postures and techniques that are beneficial to expectant mothers and help relieve discomfort caused by bodily changes during pregnancy. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of yoga exercise on back pain for pregnant women with TM III. This literature study was obtained from searching scientific research articles from the 2010-2020 range using Google Schoolar. The results of the literature study obtained 244 articles, which after the identification, screening, and eligibility process from 244 articles there were 9 articles that matched the researcher's inclusion criteria. From these 9 journals, it can be concluded that yoga exercise is effective in reducing back pain for pregnant women with TM III. Yoga exercise can produce endorphins that trigger feelings of comfort, pleasure, and happiness produced by the central nervous system and pituitary gland, endorphins function to relieve pain because these hormones can block opioid receptors which can block pain-conducting signals. Keywords: yoga exercise, back pain, pregnant women

Abstract

The incidence of menstrual pain (dysmenorrhoea) in MAN 2 Jember was 61.6%. This study aims to determine the difference in the effectiveness of William's flexion exercise with warm compresses on primary dysmenorrhoea pain. The research design used a Quasi-Experiment with a non-equivalent pretest-posttest design. The population consisted of 37 female students and the sample taken was a sample that met the inclusion criteria contained in chapter three as many as 34 students, the sample was divided into 2 treatment groups, namely 17 students were treated with William's Flexion exercise and 17 students were treated with warm compresses. This research uses simple random sampling technique. The research instrument used the Standard Operational Procedure and Numeric Rating Scale, with the Wilcoxon match pairs test and the Mann Whitney U test. Wilcoxon test results p-value 0.000, and an error level of 5% (2-sided test), which means that there is a difference in the level of dysmenorrhoea pain before and after being given warm compresses and William's flexion exercise and the results of the Mann Whitney U test obtained Z value = -1.285 with an error rate of 5%, then -1.96 <-1.285 <+1.96, meaning that there is no difference in the effectiveness of William's Flexion Exersice with warm compresses on primary dysmenorrhoea. The two methods are equally effective in reducing primary dysmenorrhoea pain, although there are slight differences. Where a warm compress is better at reducing the pain intensity of primary dysmenorrhoea. Keywords: Warm Compress, William's Flexion Exercise, Primary Dysmenorrhoea

Abstract

KEK (Chronic Energy Deficiency) is a condition of the mother suffering from lack of calories and protein (malnutrition) that lasts chronic (chronic) at risk of causing complications in the mother one of which is anemia gravidarum. Anemia in pregnancy is a decrease in Hb levels, so that the carrying capacity of oxygen for the needs of vital organs in the mother and fetus is reduced. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship of KEK with anemia gravidarum in mothers with low birth weigth history. The correlation analytic research design is a case control study approach, the population is 68 mothers with low birth weight history, using simple random sampling technique, the sample is calculated using Slovin formula, the number of 58 low birth weight history mothers fulfills the inclusion criteria. The research instrument used observation sheets to look at secondary data on cohorts of pregnant women, data analysis using the chi square test obtained a p value of 0, 001 means that p <0.05 indicates the relationship of KEK with anemia gravidarum in women with low birth weight history with a close relationship is sufficient. The value of the Contingency Coefficient in the Chronic Energy Deficiency variable is 0.39, which means that the relationship between KEK and anemia gravidarum is sufficient. The Odds Ratio (OR) value in the Chronic Energy Deficiency variable is 6.9, which means that pregnant women with nutritional status of Chronic Energy Deficiency have a 6.9 times greater risk of anemia during pregnancy than those who are not. Inadequate nutritional needs have a greater risk of anemia during pregnancy and the risk of giving birth to Low Birth Weight Babies. Researchers suggest providing counseling to women of adolescence, women of childbearing age and especially pregnant women so that they can add more information about the importance of nutritional status in pregnant women, the dangers of anemia during pregnancy and also the importance of consuming blood booster tablets during pregnancy. So that it is expected to reduce the incidence of anemia pregnant women case and low birth weight history.

Abstract

Correct breastfeeding technique is a way of giving breast milk to babies with the correct attachment and breastfeeding position. From the results of a preliminary study conducted on ten breastfeeding mothers in the Balung Public Health Center Work Area, it was found that six breastfeeding mothers were wrong in their attachment and seven were wrong in their breastfeeding position. With health promotion based on social learning theory, breastfeeding mothers' behavior can be improved by emphasizing the need for conditioning and imitation. This study aims to determine differences in the behavior of breastfeeding mothers before and after the implementation of social learning theory-based health promotion in the Balung Public Health Center Work Area. This study was a pre-experimental study with a one group pre and post test design. The population of this study used mothers who had babies aged 0-6 months in the Working Area of the Balung Health Center as many as 54 people with a purposive sampling technique, namely 35 respondents. Data collection using a questionnaire. Data analysis with the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. There are differences in breastfeeding behavior before and after the implementation of social learning theory-based health promotion in the Balung Public Health Center Work Area, with an Asymp value. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05. Differences in the behavior of breastfeeding mothers after being given health promotion based on social learning theory can occur because providing information about breastfeeding techniques can increase the knowledge, skills, and motivation of mothers regarding breastfeeding.

Abstract

The phenomenon that exists in post partum mothers after the fourth stage of labour, is they still do not perform early ambulation for physiological reasons, namely the body is still experiencing fatigue, pain in the birth canal, so they are afraid to move the body, worrying about bad consequences. Mothers under 20 years of age are slower to respond to early ambulation guidance due to emotional factors of fear and anxiety, compared to those aged 20-30 years who are more emotionally stable. However, when the mother is over 35 years old, there may be a delay in responding to early ambulation due to physiological factors the body experiences fatigue and recovers more slowly than at less than 35 years of age. The general objective of this study was to determine the existence of a relationship between midwifery education in the fourth stage of labor and early ambulation at the Tanggul Health Center in 2023. The research design used a correlation analytic survey, non-probability sampling with purposive sampling technique, data testing with chi square. The results of the study were: from the education of midwives who delivered all stages of ambulation, post partum who carried out early ambulation 3 people (10.0%), late 2 people (6.7%), while education of midwives who delivered part of the stages, post partum who carried out early ambulation 13 people (43.3%), late 12 people (40%). The p-value > 0.05 (alpha), Ho is accepted, meaning that there is no relationship between Midwife Education and Early Ambulation. Conclusion: Post partum midwife education delivery with all stages or not in accordance with the stages still gets the attention of post partum mothers, but because there are many factors that influence the behavior of early ambulation in postpartum, so not all postpartum mothers can do early ambulation.
