This article explains the results of a preliminary study on tourism resources conducted in one of tourism villages in Karo Regency, North Sumatra. The study describes nature-based and cultural tourism resources in the village, while also identifies various tourism activities that can be developed according to these resources. This study also tries to assess issues that need to be addressed if tourism is to be developed in the village. These issues relate to the roles of major stakeholders, such as the communities, local government, private sector or the tourism industry, and relevant NGOs. It is concluded that cooperations between stakeholders need to be established and each party should enhance its role in developing tourism in the village.

The choice of the location of Naga Sopa Village as a place of service cannot be separated from the sustainability of the activities that have been held by the University of North Sumatra in the field of Student Community Service in the area of Simalungun Regency before. Based on the information that has been inventoried, this village has 4 main problems, such as: 1) tourism managers do not have the expertise and skills in making tourism activities; 2) Weak tourism awareness from both sides, both from tourism managers and tourists; 3) The community is still weak in the management of tourist destinations, even tourists do not know that this tourist location is a legacy of Dutch colonialism; 4) The low flow of tourist visits to these locations has an impact on the low public interest in managing these tourist attractions. Through this educational tour, non-formal education about knowledge can be applied to tour managers and tourists visiting a tourist attraction. Educational tours can increase and strengthen Tourism awareness groups to support the governance of the attraction of Swembat baths as a tourist icon. Tourism promotion media through tourism film training for the Swembat Naga Sopa tourism committee, Bandar Huluan District, is also needed to increase tourist visits to Swembat after the service is carried out so that the impact of service can be applied. This technically helps them to compete in the tourism sector.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai perjuangan yang terkandung dalam novel Perempuan yang Menangis kepada Bulan Hitam karya Dian Purnomo. Dalam novel ini banyak terdapat nilai-nilai perjuangan tokoh utama dalam melawan adat istiadat kawin tangkap yang terjadi di daerah Sumba, Nusa Tenggara Timur. Dalam menganalisis novel Perempuan yang Menangis kepada Bulan Hitam, pendekatan yang digunakan adalah sosiologi sastra. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian ini berupa kutipan paragraf, dialog, dan kalimat dari teks dalam novel Perempuan yang Menangis kepada Bulan Hitam karya Dian Purnomo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa novel Perempuan yang Menangis kepada Bulan Hitam karya Dian Purnomo memiliki nilai-nilai perjuangan, antara lain: 1) nilai rela berkorban, 2) nilai persatuan, 3) nilai harga menghargai, 4) nilai sabar, 5) nilai semangat pantang menyerah, dan 6) nilai kerja sama.

Penelitian ini berjudul Nilai-Nilai Moral dalam Novel Parable Karya Brian Khrisna: Pendekatan Sosiologi Sastra. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai moral pada novel Parable karya Brian Khrisna menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori nilai moral yang disampaikan oleh dua ahli Nurhadi dan Subur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskiptif kualitatif. Data yang disajikan berupa kutipan, narasi, dialog antar tokoh yang mengandung nilai moral. Cara pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik baca dan cata. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa, nilai moral yang terdapat dalam novel Parable karya Brian Khrisna (1) hubungan manusia dengan Tuhan meliputi a) berdoa, b) bersyukur, c) percaya dengan adanya Tuhan. (2) hubungan manusia dengan dirinya sendiri meliputi a) kesedihan, b) percaya diri, c) pesimis, d) kesepian, e) kebimbangan antara beberapa pilihan, f) sabar. (3) hubungan manusia dengan manusia lainnya meliputi a) peduli sesama, b) bermusyawarah, c) hidup rukun d) tolong menolong, e) mennghargai orang lain, f) cinta kasih sejati. (4) hubungan manusia dengan alam semesta meliputi a) menjaga alam.

This research aims to determine the form of livelihood in the short story anthology Mata yang Enak Dipandang by Ahmad Tohari. This short story anthology has a distinctive characteristic, namely that it expresses the lives of small or marginal communities in fulfilling their daily needs. This research uses literary anthropological analysis. The research method chosen was a qualitative approach. Data containing quotations containing livelihoods are used to realize various types of livelihoods or jobs. The results of the research found that there were 28 types of work as a form of livelihood, namely farmers, beggars, prostitutes, guard, security guards, RT heads, surau imams, kyai, cake sellers, food stalls, hawkers, rice traders, pecel traders, goods credit workers, massage therapists, toucan palak or thugs, pedicab drivers, fraudsters, novelists, shamans, waiters, pickpockets, police, pond entrepreneurs, stone workers, livestock breeders, regents and doctors. These jobs are done to make ends meet.

Abstract: This study aims to analyze and describe the hierarchy of needs experienced by the main character in the novel Ancika Dia Yang Bersamaku 1995 by Pidi Baiq starting from basic needs to the highest needs (pixel experience), so that the form of fulfilling the needs of the main character can be seen. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data in this study are in the form of words, phrases, sentences that show the hierarchy of needs for the main character in the novel Ancika Dia yang Bersamaku Tahun 1995 by Pidi Baiq. The source of the data is the novel Ancika Dia yang Bersamaku Tahun 1995 by Pidi Baiq. Data collection techniques started from reading novels and taking notes. Furthermore, the data analysis techniques in this study started from data reduction, data codification, data classification, data description, data interpretation, and data verification. The theory used is Abraham Maslow's theory of humanistic psychology. The results of the analysis of the discussion, there is a conclusion that there is a hierarchy of needs of the main character in the novel Ancika Dia yang Bersamaku Tahun 1995 by Pidi Baiq. Starting from physiological needs, the need for security and protection, the need for love and belonging, the need for self-esteem, and the need for self-actualization.Keywords: Novel, Hierarchy of Needs, Humanistic Abraham MaslowAbstrak: Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan hierarki kebutuhan yang dialami oleh tokoh utama dalam novel Ancika Dia yang Bersamaku Tahun 1995 karya Pidi Baiq mulai dari kebutuhan dasar sampai kepada kebutuhan tertinggi (pixel experience), sehingga dapat terlihatnya bentuk pemenuhan kebutuhan pada tokoh utama. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kata-kata, frasa, kalimat yang menunjukkan hierarki kebutuhan tokoh utama dalam novel Ancika Dia yang Bersamaku Tahun 1995 karya Pidi Baiq. Sumber data berupa novel Ancika Dia yang Bersamaku Tahun 1995 karya Pidi Baiq. Teknik pengumpulan data dimulai dari membaca novel dan mencatat. Selanjutnya teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini dimulai dari reduksi data, kodifikasi data, klasifikasi data, deskripsi data, interpretasi data, dan verifikasi data. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori psikologi humanistik Abraham Maslow. Hasil analisis dari pembahasan, terdapat kesimpulan bahwa adanya hierarki kebutuhan dari tokoh utama dalam novel Ancika Dia yang Bersamaku Tahun 1995 karya Pidi Baiq. Mulai dari kebutuhan fisiologis, kebutuhan rasa aman dan perlindungan, kebutuhan rasa cinta dan ingin memiliki, kebutuhan harga diri, dan kebutuhan aktualisasi diri.Kata Kunci: Novel, Hierarki Kebutuhan, Humanistik Abraham Maslow

This research discusses the hierarchy of needs of the character Nirbita in the novel Sekotak Senja untuk Nirbita by Yupitawdr, a study of Abraham Maslow's humanistic psychology. The hierarchy of needs states that humans fulfill low level needs to the highest needs to achieve satisfaction. These five needs, including: physiological, safety, social and love needs, are valued up to self-actualization. This research aims to describe the hierarchy of needs experienced by the character Nirbita in the novel Sekotak Senja untuk Nirbita by Yupitawdr. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques using library study techniques and note-reading techniques. The data in this research are in the form of quotations in the novel that show the hierarchy of needs of the character Nirbita in the novel Sekotak Senja untuk Nirbita by Yupitawdr. The data analysis technique in this research is a descriptive analysis technique which consists of grouping data related to the character Nirbita in the novel Sekotak Senja untuk Nirbita by Yupitawdr which is the main target in this research, describing and analyzing the data according to the research objectives, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the research, the character Nirbita in the novel Sekotak Senja untuk Nirbita by Yupitawdr has been fulfilled well. This research article can add insight and references for readers in understanding Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs in humanistic psychology.

This research aims to discuss the language style of repetition and messages in the lyrics of Nadin Amizah's song in the Happy Birthday Album. The theory applied in this research is stylistic theory. Language style plays an important role in assessing the beauty of a literary work. Tarigan states that there are four types of language styles, namely, comparative language styles, conflicting language styles, linking language styles, and repetition language styles. This research aims to describe the repetitive language style and messages contained in the Happy Birthday album by Nadin Amizah. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques using note-taking techniques. The data in this research are the song lyrics in the Happy Birthday album. From the research results, six types of repetition language styles were found, namely: (1) alliteration, (2) assonance, (3) anaphora, (4) mesodilopsis, (5) epizeukis, and (6) epanalepsis. Furthermore, in this album there are messages about the relationship between the author and the people around him, such as family, friends and partners, which are explained by feelings of hurt and trauma.

This Community Service program aims to improve the speech skills of students of SMK Sentra Medika Medan and train to become extension agents in the health sector, especially in dealing with Covid-19. The method of increasing the ability to speak is carried out by the modeling method, namely by presenting a model in the form of figures who are considered skilled at speeches to be reviewed and imitated by good things from technique, voice or intonation, style or gesture, and others which are good requirements for speech. The results of this training are: (1) Improve the ability of students of SMK Sentra Medika Medan in making public speeches. (2) Increasing the sensitivity of students of SMK Sentra Medika Medan to conditions that threaten health in the surrounding environment. (3) Providing speech training for students of SMK Sentra Medika Medan. (4) Students of SMK Sentra Medika Medan learn to make speeches so that they are trained to become extension agents to overcome health problems, in this case, with COVID-19 material.

This storytelling training is based on concern and awareness of the importance of character education in children. Through storytelling, it is hoped that it will be able to shape the character of children for the sake of creating a generation that has strong character to manage and advance the country in the future. Telling stories can be a way of communicating to children. In general, children prefer educational models that are interactive. The partner in this service is the Principal of Cambridge Binjai Kindergarten. The participants, namely Cambridge Binjai Kindergarten students, participated in this training with joy. After this training the students can retell the stories they heard or watched. The results of this training are that it has 1) trained kindergarten children's absorption or comprehension power, 2) trained children's thinking power, 3) trained kindergarten children's concentration power, 4) Developed children's imagination, 5) Created joyful situations and developed an atmosphere of intimate relationships according to the stage of its development, 6) Helping children's language development in communicating effectively and efficiently so that the conversation process becomes communicative. At the end of this activity it is also hoped that a story-telling community will be formed with the name â€œHouse of Storiesâ€ which is managed by the teachers of the Cambridge Binjai Kindergarten. This group was made a pioneer in the movement to cultivate storytelling to educate the character of children at Cambridge Binjai Kindergarten in particular and children in Binjai in general.
