Abstract

Karya sastra fiksi pada dasarnya dibentuk beralaskan konflik permasalahan, yang dikonkretisasikan melalui tokoh-tokoh di dalam cerita. Fiksi yang berhasil adalah yang mampu memperlihatkan masing-masing perwatakan dalam setiap tokoh-tokoh. Karakter dalam karya sastra memberikan warna dalam penceritaanya. Terdapat perbedaan karakter tokoh dalam karya sastra di antaranya karakter jahat dan baik, atau bisa di sebut karakter antagonis dan protagois. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan karakter protagonis yang terdapat dalam novel Si Anak Pemberani karya Tere Liye. Karakter protagonis yang akan diteliti menggunakan teori yang mengemukakan tentang karakter protagonis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Metode penelitian kualitatif menghasilkan data deskriptif yang berupa kata-kata tertulis dari pada tokoh yang diamati. Sumber data primer berasal dari novel Si Anak Pemberani karya Tere Liye. Data yang diambil dalam penelitian ini berupa kata-kata, paragraf, kutipan dan dialog yang merujuk pada karakter protagonis. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik dokumentasi dan literatur. Di lanjutkan dengan teknik mencatat dan menandai kalimat yang berhubungan dengan karakter protagonis. Selanjutnya yaitu analisis data yang dilakukan dengan mengelompokkan data, penyajian data, kemudian menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa novel Si Anak Pemberani karya Tere Liye memiliki lima karakter protagonis, antara lain: dermawan, jujur, mandiri, setia kawan dan pembela.

Abstract

ABSTRACK - The results of this research aim to describe the facts of the story in the novel More Senyap dari Bisikan by Andina Dwifatma. This research includes library research, while the method used is qualitative descriptive analysis. The data sources used are words, sentences, discourse in the novel More Senyap Than Bisikan by Andina Dwifatma. The approach used is Robert Stanton's structural approach. The results of this research are as follows, the story facts consist of the plot, characters and setting featured in the novel. The plot used in the novel Silent Than a Whisper is a forward plot. The characters in the novel are obsessive, worried and over thinker, hardworking, The setting in the story is still in the same city, the setting used is: Amara and Baron's house, the time setting used is: morning, afternoon, afternoon and evening. The social setting in the novel is: beliefs, ways of thinking, living habits, traditions. Key words: Robert Stanton structure, story facts, novel

Abstract

This Community Service program aims to improve the speech skills of students of SMK Sentra Medika Medan and train to become extension agents in the health sector, especially in dealing with Covid-19. The method of increasing the ability to speak is carried out by the modeling method, namely by presenting a model in the form of figures who are considered skilled at speeches to be reviewed and imitated by good things from technique, voice or intonation, style or gesture, and others which are good requirements for speech. The results of this training are: (1) Improve the ability of students of SMK Sentra Medika Medan in making public speeches. (2) Increasing the sensitivity of students of SMK Sentra Medika Medan to conditions that threaten health in the surrounding environment. (3) Providing speech training for students of SMK Sentra Medika Medan. (4) Students of SMK Sentra Medika Medan learn to make speeches so that they are trained to become extension agents to overcome health problems, in this case, with COVID-19 material.

Abstract

The choice of the location of Naga Sopa Village as a place of service cannot be separated from the sustainability of the activities that have been held by the University of North Sumatra in the field of Student Community Service in the area of Simalungun Regency before. Based on the information that has been inventoried, this village has 4 main problems, such as: 1) tourism managers do not have the expertise and skills in making tourism activities; 2) Weak tourism awareness from both sides, both from tourism managers and tourists; 3) The community is still weak in the management of tourist destinations, even tourists do not know that this tourist location is a legacy of Dutch colonialism; 4) The low flow of tourist visits to these locations has an impact on the low public interest in managing these tourist attractions. Through this educational tour, non-formal education about knowledge can be applied to tour managers and tourists visiting a tourist attraction. Educational tours can increase and strengthen Tourism awareness groups to support the governance of the attraction of Swembat baths as a tourist icon. Tourism promotion media through tourism film training for the Swembat Naga Sopa tourism committee, Bandar Huluan District, is also needed to increase tourist visits to Swembat after the service is carried out so that the impact of service can be applied. This technically helps them to compete in the tourism sector.

Abstract

This storytelling training is based on concern and awareness of the importance of character education in children. Through storytelling, it is hoped that it will be able to shape the character of children for the sake of creating a generation that has strong character to manage and advance the country in the future. Telling stories can be a way of communicating to children. In general, children prefer educational models that are interactive. The partner in this service is the Principal of Cambridge Binjai Kindergarten. The participants, namely Cambridge Binjai Kindergarten students, participated in this training with joy. After this training the students can retell the stories they heard or watched. The results of this training are that it has 1) trained kindergarten children's absorption or comprehension power, 2) trained children's thinking power, 3) trained kindergarten children's concentration power, 4) Developed children's imagination, 5) Created joyful situations and developed an atmosphere of intimate relationships according to the stage of its development, 6) Helping children's language development in communicating effectively and efficiently so that the conversation process becomes communicative. At the end of this activity it is also hoped that a story-telling community will be formed with the name “House of Stories” which is managed by the teachers of the Cambridge Binjai Kindergarten. This group was made a pioneer in the movement to cultivate storytelling to educate the character of children at Cambridge Binjai Kindergarten in particular and children in Binjai in general.

Abstract

Konflik adalah kejadian yang tergolong penting dan menjadi unsur yang esensial dalam pengembangan plot pada sebuah teks fiksi. Peristiwa batin yang memunculkan perlawanan terhadap pikiran, hati, juga perasaan yang timbul dari diri seorang tokoh dalam karya sastra disebut dengan konflik batin. Konflik batin disebabkan oleh adanya dua atau lebih gagasan atau keinginan yang bertentangan menguasai diri individu sehingga memengaruhi tingkah laku. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan konflik batin tokoh utama dalam novel Kerumunan Terakhir karya Okky Madasari. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Dalam mencapai tujuan penelitian ini, penulis menganalisis novel Kerumunan Terakhir karya Okky Madasari dengan menggunakan bentuk-bentuk konflik batin menurut teori Kurt Lewin dalam pendekatan psikologi sastra. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya konflik batin yang dihadapi tokoh utama dalam novel Kerumunan Terakhir karya Okky Madasari, antara lain: 1) konflik mendekat-mendekat terjadi ketika Jaya sedang memikirkan Ibunya dan Maera. Secara bersamaan mereka mengharapkan kedatangan Jaya lewat pesan yang dikirimkan. Jaya memilih untuk bertemu Maera sebagai masa depannya; 2) konflik mendekat-menjauh membuat Jaya lebih memilih diam. Jaya selalu merasa tidak berdaya di hadapan orang lain dan ia yang tidak berusaha mewujudkan harapan dan keinginannya. Dalam konflik ini Jaya juga sering merasa tidak yakin apakah orang-orang yang dikenalnya di dunia maya benar-benar ada di dunia nyata; dan 3) konflik menjauh-menjauh muncul ketika Jaya merasa bingung, kecewa dan marah, curiga terhadap bapaknya sendiri, tidak berani mengungkapkan perasaan, rasa cemburu, tidak memiliki impian, tidak percaya diri, dan tidak mau mengakui kebohongannya sendiri.

Abstract

Kepribadian merupakan bagian dari jiwa seseorang yang menyusun keberadaan manusia menjadi satu kesatuan. Pemaknaan kepribadian dipahami melalui perspektif yang berbeda dalam aliran-aliran psikologis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tipe kepribadian ekstraversi dan intraversi gabungan dari sikap jiwa (ekstraversi dan intraversi) dan fungsi jiwa (fikiran, perasaan, pengindraan dan intuisi) tokoh Yudhis dalam Novel Posesif karya Lucia Priandarini. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data dan sumber data primer dalam penelitian ini adalah dokumen berbentuk novel yang berjudul Posesif karya Lucia Priandarini dan kutipan yang menggambarkan kepribadian Yudhis. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik studi pustaka, teknik baca, dan teknik catat. Teknik analisis data penelitian ini dengan cara pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Dari hasil penelitian terdapat 69 data tipe kepribadian ekstraversi dan intraversi yang dimiliki oleh tokoh Yudhis dengan jumlah ekstraversi sebanyak 45 data dan jumlah intraversi sebanyak 24 data. Adapun tipe kepribadian tersebut antara lain tipe kepribadian ekstraversi fikiran 14 data, tipe kepribadian intraversi fikiran 11 data, tipe kepribadian ekstraversi perasaan 13 data, tipe kepribadian intraversi perasaan 8 data, tipe kepribadian ekstraversi pengindraan 15 data, tipe kepribadian intraversi pengindraan 2 data, tipe kepribadian ekstraversi intuisi 3 data dan tipe intraversi intuisi 3 data.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the inner conflict of Livka's character in the novel Ingkar by Boy Candra. The method used is descriptive qualitative with simak catat technique. The theory applied is Kurt Lewin's conflict theory, which divides inner conflict into three types: (1) near-close conflict, which is when a person is faced with two positive choices; (2) near-far conflict, where one choice has both positive and negative aspects; and (3) far-far conflict, which is when a person is faced with two negative choices. The analysis was conducted by presenting, classifying, categorizing, and summarizing the data. The results show that Livka's character faces all three types of conflict in the novel Ingkar.

Abstract

This research uses literary sociology studies to describe the moral values in the novel Iyan Bukan Anak Tengah by Armaraher. This research uses the theory of moral values presented by Wicaksono with a qualitative descriptive method. The data is presented through quotations, narratives, and dialogue between characters that contain moral values. The data collection method is done using reading and recording techniques. The results of the study can conclude that the moral values contained in the novel Iyan Bukan Anak Tengah by Armaraher, first, human relationships with God include gratitude and belief in the existence of God. Second, man's relationship with himself includes patience, courtesy, honesty, self-esteem, longing, fear, resentment, loneliness, sadness, pessimism, and responsibility. Third, human relationships with other humans include caring for others, living in harmony, forgiving, helping, deliberating, respecting others, true love, and keeping promises. Fourth, human relationships with the universe include utilizing natural resources and protecting nature.
