Abstract

This research aims to analyze and describe the description of the dual personality experienced by the main character in the novel Aku Tak Membenci Hujan by Sri Puji Hartini. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The data in this research are in the form of words, phrases, sentences that show a picture of the dual personality of the main character in the novel Aku Tak Membenci Hujan by Sri Puji Hartini. The data source for this research is the novel Aku Tak Membenci Hujan by Sri Puji Hartini. Data collection techniques start from reading the novel repeatedly and marking and recording the data found. After data related to multiple personalities is collected, it will be applied in discussing the problem, providing solutions to the data obtained. The theory used is Siggmund Freud's Psychoanalysis. The results of the analysis obtained are that there is structure and a picture of multiple personalities in the characters, namely the presence of four different personality states, repetitive personalities controlling a person's behavior, there is a failure to recall important personal information that is too substantial to be considered ordinary forgetting, this disorder is not thought to occur due to the effects of substances psychoactive or general medical conditions, dissociative amnesia, and dissociative fugue.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the love relationship of the main character in the novel Ancika Dia Yang Bersamaku Tahun 1995 by Pidi Baiq. This love relationship originates from the main character, Ancika, and Dilan. Starting from their love relationship, the problem arose of finding answers to questions regarding the components of love contained in this relationship. From the interpretation of the components of love, a concept is produced called type of love. The aim of this research is to describe the components of intimacy, components of desire, components of decision and commitment, and the concept of types of love in the novel Ancika Dia Yang Bersamaku Tahun 1995 by Pidi Baiq. The method used in this research is a qualitative method. The approach used is Literary Psychology with a study of Robert J. Sternberg's love triangle theory. Data was collected using note-taking techniques, while data analysis techniques used descriptive techniques. The research results show that the relationship between the characters Ancika and Dilan in the novel Ancika Dia Yang Bersamaku Tahun 1995 has components of intimacy, desire, decision and commitment. From these three components, a concept of a type of love is produced, namely true love. Thus it can be concluded that the relationship between the characters Ancika and Dilan is a relationship of true love.

Abstract

This research discusses the personality of the main character owned by Nora Andreana in the novel The Darkest Embrace by Shan A. Fitriani using the Hippocrates-Galenus typological theory. This theory states that in the human body there are four personality types, namely: Kholeris, Melancholy, Phlegmatic, and Sanguinis. The four personality types have their own traits or characteristics. This study aims to describe the personality type of the main character Nora Andreana in the novel The Darkest Embrace by Shan A. Fitriani. The research method used is a qualitative description method with data collection techniques using literature study techniques, reading techniques, and notes. The data in this study is in the form of quotes in the novel that show the traits or characteristics of the personality that exist in the main character Nora Andreana in the novel The Darkest Embrace by Shan A. Fitriani. The technical data analysis in this study is to present data, record and observe it, explain the results of the research, and draw conclusions. The result of this study was that 83 data were found on the personality type of the main character Nora Andreana who was more dominant in the Melancholys type which refers to the characteristics of small fighting power, easy to be disappointed, pessimistic, gloomy, anxious, rigid, timid, and thoughtful. This feature is illustrated in Nora Andreana's life which since childhood has not been easy, her life is filled with sadness and tears, because she always loses her loved ones which makes her life even more miserable.
