This community service activity aims to improve the efficiency of cattle farm business in Huta Gondang Rejo Nagori Bandar Tongah Bandar Huluan Subdistrict Simalungun Regency through the use of pellet complete feed based on palm oil fronds and agricultural waste. This activity is conducted on cattle ranchers who are members of the farming community group Huta Gondang Rejo. Farmers are given counseling and training on the processing of palm oil fronds and agricultural waste into livestock feed and the establishment of a complete ration of palm-based pellet and agricultural waste. To facilitate the transfer of this technology to the breeder, then prepared a complete feed pellet with 5 types of machines. Palm Crusher Counter Machines or Palm Crafter Engines with a capacity of 600 kg/hour. Pellet printing machine (granulator) with capacity of 100 kg/hour. Mixer machine (mixer feed) with a capacity of 50 kg/stir. Dryer (Oven) with capacity of 10 kg/rack. Manual press feed press tool with specification 2 kg/print. Measuring the success of this activity is seen from the level of farmer adoption of pelleting technology and the difference of ration conversion between cattle that get complete feed and conventional or traditional. Performance of palm cropping machine for cattle that get complete pellet feed is better than cattle that get conventional or traditional feed. This Chopper machine can count the palm stem from the tip of the base of the leaf to the stem (80% of the palm stem). Through the activities of plant waste feed technology is expected to achieve some outcomes, namely, improve the productivity of farming through the system integration of livestock combine farming system with synergistic system to form an effective, efficient and environmentally friendly.

The problems of Indonesia, especially correspondence in the cases of standardized punctuation marks, vocabulary, and sentences according to Indonesian principle is presented, including effective letter format in the public service program. The people should take care of Indonesian properly and accurately, especially in a formal or official condition at schools or offices. In this case, the team of public service provided training for the employees at SMP Negeri 7, Medan to foster and development of Indonesian in correspondence so that they will be able to write letters accurately and effectively. The implementation used lecture and explanation method in teachers-students direct interaction; the trainers explained standard sentences, words, and spelling according to Indonesian spelling through LCD media. By using persuasive and educative method, the trainers asked the trainees to practice writing letters so that there was two-way communication which made them enthusiastic in participating the training. Many of them asked questions and were interested in following the program. In the post-exercise, most of them could get much more input. The result was that the employees could write letters effectively and accurately.

The choice of the location of Naga Sopa Village as a place of service cannot be separated from the sustainability of the activities that have been held by the University of North Sumatra in the field of Student Community Service in the area of Simalungun Regency before. Based on the information that has been inventoried, this village has 4 main problems, such as: 1) tourism managers do not have the expertise and skills in making tourism activities; 2) Weak tourism awareness from both sides, both from tourism managers and tourists; 3) The community is still weak in the management of tourist destinations, even tourists do not know that this tourist location is a legacy of Dutch colonialism; 4) The low flow of tourist visits to these locations has an impact on the low public interest in managing these tourist attractions. Through this educational tour, non-formal education about knowledge can be applied to tour managers and tourists visiting a tourist attraction. Educational tours can increase and strengthen Tourism awareness groups to support the governance of the attraction of Swembat baths as a tourist icon. Tourism promotion media through tourism film training for the Swembat Naga Sopa tourism committee, Bandar Huluan District, is also needed to increase tourist visits to Swembat after the service is carried out so that the impact of service can be applied. This technically helps them to compete in the tourism sector.

Arrangement of Reforestation of Tourism Areas for the development of the "Sweembath" Naga Sopa Tourism Village, Bandar Huluan District, Simalungun Regency to Realize Community Welfare. The preliminary survey shows the need for further development so that it is expected to improve the welfare of the village community. The arrangement of selfie photo spots is expected to increase the target of tourist visits, both foreign and local. Therefore, making selfie photo spots will be used as a promotional medium to increase the number of tourist visits. Sweembath Bahapal baths were built in 1930 by the Dutch government by employing plantation workers. The results of the preliminary survey indicate the need for further development so that it is expected to improve the welfare of the village community. The purpose of the activity is to become a creative and attractive place for recreation with an environmental perspective, organizing selfie photo spots which are expected to increase the target of tourist visits, both foreign and local. The method used in the implementation of the construction of eight selfie photo spots is something that provides recreational facilities that can make tourists active in tourist activities, the University of North Sumatra community service agency builds facilities for self-painted photo spots as follows (1) Dolphins, (2) Dinosaurs, (3) Elephants, (4) Butterflies, (5) Fire Tongue Wings, (6) Whales, (7) Butterflies, and (8) Turtles. Spot facilities Selfie photos form facts in the form of responses from collective or individual subjects such as 1) the presence of visitors who take advantage of the facilities, 2) parking attendants who regulate vehicle parking 3) traders who sell types of merchandise products, 3) place rental, mats, buoys, and changing rooms. The impact of the development and improvement of the functions of the facilities and infrastructure above, affects the welfare of the community, managers and traders in the Sweembath environment.

The community service activity program for the Universitas Sumatera Utara Team, based on the results of an initial survey at the Yapekdi Middle School, the problem was that there was a lack of students registering as new students in 2021/2022, the promotion strategy carried out by the school had not yet influenced the community to register their children and the condition of some classrooms that were damaged so it was feared that it would have a bad effect on students who were studying inside. Solutions for 2022/23 Promoting sustainable development and providing one year scholarships to 20 students, promotional strategies to attract public interest by distributing flyers, installing banners, and renovating classrooms. The Simalungun Assisted Village Team conducted a preliminary survey based on secondary and primary data. The survey is primarily carried out through direct observation and in-depth discussions with stakeholders such as village heads and other elements of village leadership. The result of the discussion is the problem of wall fence facilities and understanding the image of poetry for students. The solution is to improve sustainable development goals. The USU Assisted Village Team carried out activity methods in the form of building wall fences and providing counseling to elementary school students about understanding the image of poetry, namely. (1) Vision Imagery; (2) Auditory Imagery; (3) Motion Imagery; (4) Tactile Imagery; (5) Olfactory Imagery; (6) Tasting Imagery; (7) Image of Feeling. Furthermore, it is hoped that several activity outcomes will be achieved, namely, (1) Being able to encourage the growth of community initiative and creativity to overcome problems through improving facilities and counseling on the understanding of poetry image (2) Produce scientific publications and publications to the public on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS) through the Assisted Village in Dolok Ilir I Village, Dolok Batu Nanggar District, Simalungun Regency.

This training aims to train students speaking abilities and skills at Kindergarten Tunas Harapan Binjai. Poetry training from an early age hones the ability to think imaginatively, interest in reading, courage to express thoughts and feelings from the sensory process through the five senses in an image. Training was carried out in four sessions. In the first session, counseling was carried out and poetry material was delivered by the service team. The second session, training participants were asked to see and explain pictures using the five senses. The third session, Tunas Harapan Kindergarten students composed a poem by presenting pictures. The fourth session, Tunas Harapan Kindergarten students performed poetry in front of other participants and trainers, namely the service team, who gave feedback to Tunas Harapan Kindergarten students. After all participants appeared, a competition was held between participants and then the best participants I, II and III were selected. The results of this poetry training are: (1) Training from an early age the thinking and imagination skills of Tunas Harapan Kindergarten students in poetry. (2) Training Tunas Harapan Kindergarten students' interest and talent in poetry from an early age. (3) Providing intensive poetry training for Tunas Harapan Kindergarten students.

Novel adalah sebuah karya sastra berbentuk prosa yang berisi cerita imajinatif dengan alur yang cukup panjang dan di dalamnya terdapat tokoh sebagai pelaku pengembang peristiwa yang dapat membentuk jalannya cerita menjadi kesatuan yang utuh. Setiap tokoh yang terdapat dalam novel memiliki kepribadian sebagai karakter pembeda pada diri manusia yang dapat menggambarkan manusia dalam berperilaku dan berkomunikasi di kehidupan sehari-hari. Kepribadian merupakan faktor yang sangat penting karena dapat mendukung jalannya cerita agar menjadi suatu kesatuan agar sebuah novel dapat menghasilkan pesan atau amanat yang diinginkan oleh pengarang. Dalam novel Polaris Musim Dingin terdapat tokoh utama yang memiliki struktur kepribadian sehingga dapat membentuk suatu cerita yang utuh dengan tiap karakteristik yang ada. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk dapat mengidentifikasi struktur kepribadian yang dimiliki oleh tokoh utama dengan segala latar belakang yang dimilikinya. Dalam penelitian ini, metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif yang menggunakan kajian psikologi sastra dengan teori struktur kepribadian oleh Sigmund Freud. Hasil yang dapat teridentifikasi pada penelitian ini adalah struktur kepribadian id yang berupa eros atau naluri kehidupan (life instinct) dan thanatos atau naluri kematian (destructive/death instinct), ego yang berupa (1) proyeksi, (2) rasionalisasi , dan (3) reaksi formasi (reaction formation), dan superego yang menghasilkan nilai moral (1) menghormati kehidupan dan kemerdekaan, (2) bertanggung jawab terhadap orang lain, (3) kejujuran, (4) keadilan, (5) toleransi, (6) sopan santun, (7) disiplin diri, (8) integritas, (9) belas kasih, (10) kedermawanan, dan (11) keberanian, dapat ditemukan pada tokoh utama novel Polaris Musim Dingin dengan macam faktor latar belakang yang dapat ditemukan dalam cerita kehidupan tokoh utama.
