Abstract

In order to compete with other job seekers, a university graduate should have adequate provisions. In addition to knowledge and skills, they also need to possess readiness to enter the workplace, which is known as work readiness. Work readiness is characterized by having a number of skills, knowledge, basic attitudes, and practical understanding that enable an individual to work productively and to achieve the goals of the organization. Work readiness is influenced by individual internal and external factors. In this study, the internal factor studied is psychological capital, namely an individual’s positive psychological state of development characterized by self-efficacy, hope, optimism, and resilience. Furthermore, the external factor studied is social support, namely the perception or actualization of care  or assistance  from a  social network. This research implemented a non-experimental quantitative method, by distributing the Work Readines Inventory developed by Brady (2010), the Psychological Capital Questionnaire developed by Luthans et al. (2007), and the Personal Resources Questionnaire (PRQ2000) developed by Weinert (2003) to 124 students of University X in Jakarta, Indonesia. The results showed that work readiness of the students of University X is significantly influenced by psychological capital (F= 131.291; p< 0.000) and social support (F= 67.007; p< 0.000).

Abstract

Generation Z are individuals born between 1995 and 2012, so they are in a transition between the academic world and the world of work. The difference between the two situations certainly requires good adaptability so as not to have a negative impact on their psychological well-being. This study aims to get an overview of career adaptability in Generation Z employees. Career adaptability is individual readiness to cope with job changes and work situations in a corporate environment. This research is a quantitative study by asking 64 participants to fill out 24 items of the Career Adaptability Scale (CAAS) questionnaire developed by Savickas and Porfeli (2012). Based on the results of data analysis, men (M=4.271, SD=0.528) have slightly higher career adaptability than women (M=4.250, SD=0.443). Ages 20-21 years (M=4.413, SD=0.395) had the highest and lowest career adaptability at ages 22-23 years (M=4.164, SD=0.499). Gen Z who work for 1-2 years (M=4.358, SD=0.466) have high career adaptability compared to those under 6 months (M=4.25, SD=0.444) and 6 months-1 year (M=4.160, SD=0.466).

Abstract

Pesatnya perkembangan industri di Indonesia memunculkan persaingan dan kompetisi di dunia bisnis. Perusahaan diharapkan adaptif untuk tetap bertahan dalam jangka panjang. Dengan hal itu perusahaan perlu meningkatkan sumber daya manusia yaitu karyawan karena terlibat langsung dengan perusahaan. Task performance merupakan perilaku yang berkontribusi langsung pada perusahaan. Dalam meningkatkan produktivitas, karyawan perlu memiliki sumber daya pribadi seperti grit. Grit menunjukkan bekerja keras dalam menghadapi tantangan sembari mempertahankan usaha serta tujuan meski dihadapkan dengan kegagalan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh grit terhadap task performance pada karyawan PT X. Peneliti menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan melibatkan 75 karyawan yang bekerja di PT X. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah non-probability sampling yaitu convenience sampling, dimana partisipan memiliki kebebasan untuk berpartisipasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner dengan dua alat ukur yaitu Individual Work Performance: Task Performance yang dikembangkan oleh Koopmans (2014) digunakan untuk variabel task performance dan Grit Scale yang dikembangkan Duckworth (2007) digunakan untuk variabel grit. Dalam pengumpulan dan pengolahan data, penulis menggunakan bantuan SPSS versi 25.00 dengan diolah menggunakan uji regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa grit berpengaruh terhadap task performance secara signifikan dan positif dengan dimensi perseverance of effort memiliki pengaruh lebih besar dibanding dimensi consistency of interest.

Abstract

Study on millenial generation is essential to conduct since in the near future the millenials will dominate the workforce and hold strategic positions in industry. According to references, millenials are well-known for their reluctance to stay working in one place for a long-time period. Many speculations have arisen to explain the issue, whether it is caused by their positive as well as the negative characteristics. This study aimed to investigate the factors affecting millenial’s intention to stay. Three levels of context were involved as researched variables, namely work passion, quality of work life, and work engagement as mediator. Quantitative and non-experimental study was applied to test the hypotheses. Using convenience sampling technique, 125 millenial workers in Jakarta, Indonesia, were recruited and completed the online questionnaires. The questionnaires to measure the researched variables are Intention to Stay Scale, Work Passion Scale, Quality of Work Life Scale, and Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES). Regression analysis reported that intention to stay was significantly affected by work passion and quality of work life. Moreover, work engagement was also proven to be a significant mediator that bridged the association between intention to stay and both of independent variables, namely work passion and quality of work life.

Abstract

The advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has significantly transformed organizational structures and work dynamics, introducing new challenges for employees in adapting to digital transformation. AI is increasingly integrated into various workplace systems and is influencing the role of human labor in organizations. This study aims to examine the relationship between AI awareness and perceived job insecurity among active employees from various professional fields. Using a quantitative approach with a correlational design, data were collected from 130 participants through an online questionnaire that included validated scales measuring AI Awareness and Job Insecurity. Normality tests showed that the data were not normally distributed; therefore, the hypothesis was tested using Spearman’s correlation analysis. The results revealed a strong and significant positive relationship between AI awareness and perceived job insecurity (r = 0.714, p < 0.001). These findings suggest that higher awareness of AI’s roles and impacts is associated with a greater sense of job insecurity, both in quantitative and qualitative aspects. Theoretically, this research contributes to the growing body of knowledge on the psychological effects of technological developments. Practically, the findings highlight the importance of implementing more human-centered change management strategies, including transparent communication and psychological support for employees. The study’s limitations include the use of non-probability sampling and a relatively small sample size, which restrict generalizability. Future research is recommended to broaden the sample scope across work sectors and to explore potential mediating or moderating variables in the relationship between AI awareness and job insecurity.

Abstract

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Indonesia has had a major impact in various fields, including the world of work. These changes require individuals, especially students who also work, to adapt in order to remain relevant to the needs of the labor market. One factor that plays a role in preparing for these challenges is AI Awareness, which is an individual's understanding of the existence, function, and impact of AI in everyday life. Meanwhile, Self-Perceived Employability relates to an individual's confidence in their ability to obtain, maintain, and develop a sustainable career. This study aims to determine the relationship between AI Awareness and Self-Perceived Employability among students who also work. This study uses a quantitative approach with convenience sampling techniques. The participants consisted of 103 students from various universities who were recruited through an online questionnaire using Google Forms. The research instruments used included two scales, namely AI Awareness and Self-Perceived Employability. The results of the data analysis showed a significant positive relationship between AI Awareness and Self-Perceived Employability among working students. The results show that the higher the students' awareness of the role and impact of AI in the world of work, the higher their confidence in obtaining, maintaining, and developing their careers. This study is expected to contribute to higher education strategies in preparing students to face the dynamics of the job market in the digital technology era.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak teknostres terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis digital mahasiswa magang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan analisis korelasional, melibatkan 108 mahasiswa yang sedang mengikuti program magang pada periode semester genap tahun akademik 2023/2024. Instrumen yang digunakan mencakup 35 item dari variabel teknostres dan variabel kesejahteraan psikologis digital dengan alpha cronbach 0.739 dan 0,825. Analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa teknostres memiliki pengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis digital, meskipun hanya sebesar 7,4%. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa faktor lain turut mempengaruhi kesejahteraan psikologis digital mahasiswa magang. Penelitian ini sejalan dengan hasil penelitian sebelumnya yang menyoroti dampak teknologi terhadap stres di tempat kerja.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted tourism in Indonesia, causing a sharp decline in both foreign and domestic visitors and leading to decreased income for tourism businesses such as hotels, restaurants, and tour guides. Although the vaccination program and government stimulus policies, including tax reductions, have supported gradual recovery, the sector still faces serious challenges such as low tourist arrivals, difficulty in maintaining health protocols, limited capital, dependency on foreign tourists, and inadequate infrastructure. In this context, communication science and industrial psychology play a crucial role in shaping effective communication strategies, human resource management, service innovation, performance measurement, and reputation management to strengthen resilience in post-pandemic tourism. This study contributes to theory development by integrating concepts of Customer Relationship Management (CRM), service innovation behavior, and creative economy theory into the framework of tourism recovery. By doing so, it enriches theoretical discussions on how communication and resource management can drive competitiveness and sustainable value creation in the tourism sector. Practically, the findings highlight that effective CRM implementation through meaningful communication, personalization techniques, and lifecycle management that enhances trust, customer satisfaction, loyalty, and positive word-of-mouth. These insights provide actionable strategies for tourism practitioners to rebuild relationships with customers, maintain long-term engagement, and adapt to post-crisis market dynamics. This qualitative descriptive research involved purposive sampling of tour guides and tourism entrepreneurs in Bali—one of the destinations most affected by the pandemic. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document studies, then analyzed using thematic analysis. To ensure validity and reliability, the study employed triangulation of data sources and member checking. The results demonstrate that CRM is not only an operational tool but also a strategic approach that links theory with practice, offering both academic contributions and practical pathways for strengthening the competitiveness of Indonesian tourism in the post-pandemic era.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Students who have taken part in internships are believed to be easier to adapt to the work environment when they graduate because they have hands-on experience about working. Based on the data collection that the author has done with the author's apprentice partner, the author decided to made a guide book in the form of an electronic book (e-book) as a form of PKM for PT X. The purpose of this manual is to prepare interns for PT X to make it easier and faster to adapt to their work environment. This manual consists of five parts, namely (1) introduction, (2) pre-internship preparation, (3) experience during internship, (4) obstacles during internship, and (5) tips and tricks during internship. The process of making the manual includes the process of exploring problem phenomena by interviewing intern in the previous batch, as well as looking for a theoretical basis that fits the phenomenon, namely person-environment fit. The response received from the company and readers regarding this manual is very positive or very good. Suggestions and inputs received by the author regarding this guidebook, either from the company or the reader, are regarding the small number of sources and the need for more concrete examples based on the theory used. ABSTRAK Mahasiswa yang telah mengikuti kegiatan magang dipercaya akan lebih mudah beradaptasi dengan lingkungan kerja ketika sudah lulus karena telah mendapatkan pengalaman langsung tentang bekerja. Berdasarkan pengumpulan data yang telah penulis lakukan bersama pihak mitra magang penulis, penulis memutuskan untuk membuat buku panduan dalam bentuk electronic book (e-book) sebagai bentuk PKM untuk PT X. Tujuan dari buku panduan ini yaitu untuk mempersiapkan mahasiswa magang di PT X supaya lebih mudah dan cepat dalam beradaptasi dengan lingkungan kerja. Buku panduan ini terdiri dari lima bagian yaitu (1) pendahuluan, (2) persiapan pra-magang, (3) pengalaman saat magang, (4) kendala saat magang, dan (5) tips and trick selama magang. Proses pembuatan buku panduan tersebut meliputi proses penggalian fenomena masalah dengan mewawancarai peserta magang pada batch sebelumnya, serta mencari dasar teori yang sesuai dengan fenomena tersebut yaitu person-environment fit. Respons yang diterima dari pihak perusahaan dan pembaca mengenai buku panduan ini yaitu sangat positif atau sangat baik. Saran dan masukan yang diterima oleh penulis mengenai buku panduan ini baik dari pihak perusahaan atau pembaca yaitu mengenai jumlah narasumber yang sedikit serta perlu adanya contoh-contoh yang lebih nyata berdasarkan teori yang digunakan.

Abstract

The development of technology, especially in the form of artificial intelligence (AI), has become a major focus in the era of globalisation. The main goal of AI is to develop systems and machines that have the ability to think like humans. While there are many benefits offered by AI, it must be recognised that there are also adverse effects that must be considered. However, research also shows that AI has the potential to improve employee well-being by providing personalised support and encouraging a healthy work-life balance. This study aims to analyse the relationship between AI opportunity perception and workplace well-being among student interns in Jabodetabek. The research method used was quantitative with non-probability sampling technique, namely convenience sampling. Data were collected through an online questionnaire involving 129 participants from various universities.  The results showed a significant positive relationship between AI opportunity perception and workplace well-being. Students with high AI opportunity perception tend to have better workplace well-being. This study suggests the importance of understanding and implementing AI to improve workplace well-being.Perkembangan teknologi, terutama dalam bentuk kecerdasan buatan (AI), telah menjadi fokus utama dalam era globalisasi. Tujuan utama dari AI adalah untuk mengembangkan sistem dan mesin yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir seperti manusia. Meskipun banyak manfaat yang ditawarkan oleh AI, perlu diakui bahwa ada juga dampak buruk yang harus diperhatikan. Walaupun demikian, penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa AI memiliki potensi untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan psikologis karyawan dengan menyediakan dukungan personal dan mendorong keseimbangan hidup kerja yang sehat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan persepsi peluang kecerdasan buatan (AI) dengan kesejahteraan di tempat kerja pada mahasiswa magang di Jabodetabek. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan teknik non-probability sampling, yaitu convenience sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner daring yang melibatkan 129 partisipan dari berbagai universitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara persepsi peluang AI dan kesejahteraan psikologis di tempat kerja. Mahasiswa dengan persepsi peluang AI yang tinggi cenderung memiliki kesejahteraan di tempat kerja yang lebih baik. Penelitian ini menyarankan pentingnya pemahaman dan penerapan AI untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan karyawan di tempat kerja.
