Abstract

Abstract

The existence of a dichotomy for students in the classroom makes transferring knowledge from teachers to students an inequality that runs ineffectively due to the difference between intelligent and unintelligent students, especially in learning Islamic education. This study analyzes learning innovations based on multiple intelligences (MI) in Islamic education subjects. This study is qualitative in nature, uses a library research approach, and the data analysis used is a descriptive-qualitative analysis. The data sources employed are from previous relevant research on multiple intelligence (MI)-based learning, such as international and national journals. However, Howard Gardner, a psychologist from Harvard University, adopted the study. This study revealed awareness that every student born into this world has their own uniqueness, which has the right to be recognized and appreciated in their learning environment and in developing their potential. Multiple intelligence (MI)-based learning is a form of learning innovation that can be an option for Islamic education teachers in Indonesia. Implementing multiple intelligences (MI)-based learning is intended to accommodate students' diverse intelligences.

Abstract

This study examines the perceived level of organizational citizenship behavior based on Islamic perspective (OCBIP) practices among academic staff in the Indonesian States' Islamic Higher Education Institutions (ISIHEIs). This study also sought to observe differences in the perceived level of OCBIP among academic staff by gender. A quantitative survey method was employed to collect the data from 450 academic staff of six State Islamic Higher Education Institutions (ISIHEIs) across Indonesia using a five-point OCBIP scale. Descriptive statistics, independent-sample t-tests, and bivariate correlations between antecedents of OCBIP were carried out with SPSS software version 25. The analysis of the study exhibits the perceived level of OCBIP practices among academic staff and gender influences on the perceived variables. The hypothesized model of the study added a new theory and knowledge of OCBIP from the Indonesian State Islamic Higher Education Institutions context that can be used to improve organizational effectiveness in ISIHEIs. The study's findings suggest that the value of the OCBIP practices by academic staff can boost the effectiveness of higher education institutions. The study tested, examined, and formulated OCBIP practices for ISIHEIs. The findings also contribute to understanding how OCBIP could be used to develop organizational effectiveness in the context of ISIHEIs.

Abstract

This paper examines some fundamentals of the Quranic messages and elucidates their timeless nature in challenging relativism through the lens of Islamic perspectives. The issues of relativism have been spreading in all elements of social and moral construction. Moreover, the authenticity and eternity of the Quran have been questioned. Consequently, the truth of messages in the Quran also has been doubted. In other words, without exception, all ingredients in the Qur’an become nothing. In fact, people become confused with values and standards of morals, truth, religion, etc, in their daily lives. Indeed, the Quran itself has declared this book a guide of life for human beings, which is rich in permanent values and standards of morals, truth, religion, etc., but these things are unbounded by time and place. It means that the messages of the Quran are timeless in nature. Therefore, this paper investigates some problems above by presenting some verses of the Quran as a permanent solution for relativism issues.

Abstract

The advancement of science and technology, which is increasingly sophisticated today, has caused various kinds of changes in human life, including changes in the learning system. This study aims to determine the extent of the effectiveness of the use of e-modules in learning Islamic religious education. This research method is included in the type of qualitative field study research with a phenomenological approach to reveal facts in order to obtain data by making observations, documentation, and interviews with Islamic religious education teachers and the Science Technology team at Muhammadiyah Al Kautsar High School. Valid data analysis techniques in this study were carried out through observation and interviews with Islamic religious education teachers. In addition, researchers also conducted an official web analysis at Muhammadiyah Al Kautsar High School and then carried out data processing. The document analysis was put together into conclusions that were the results of the study. The results of this study show that the impact of using e-modules is effective in Islamic religious education. This study focuses on the perspective of students on the use of e-modules in Islamic religious education learning as well as the effectiveness of using e-modules in Islamic religious education learning.

Abstract

This paper examines meditation, a practice that has become a global trend and is increasingly promoted as a therapeutic intervention in health-related contexts. This development has contributed to a shift in the public perception of meditation—from a religious tradition to a medicalized instrument—potentially detaching it from its original spiritual and religious meanings. Accordingly, this study explores meditation in Buddhism as its primary focus and discusses Islamic traditions as a comparative perspective. By clarifying key terms and conceptual meanings, the paper identifies both convergences and divergences between Buddhist meditation and selected Islamic practices, particularly within Sufism. It also addresses a recurring controversy in public discourse, namely the claim that “there is no meditation in Islam,” while acknowledging that the two religions are not treated as equivalent or interchangeable frameworks.

Abstract

Muhammadiyah’s Water Jurisprudence provides a faith-based framework for sustainable and equitable water governance. This study examines its normative foundations through the lens of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah and its relevance to Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6). Using a qualitative normative approach based on document analysis, the study finds that it integrates the objectives of ḥifẓ al-nafs, ḥifẓ al-māl, ḥifẓ al-nasl, and ḥifẓ al-bī’ah, which closely align with the targets of SDG 6, including safe water access, water quality improvement, efficient water use, and ecosystem protection. The study concludes that Muhammadiyah’s Water Jurisprudence provides a strategic Islamic framework for advancing sustainable water governance.
