Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of Third-Party Funds (DPK) and Non-Performing Financing (NPF) on profitability measured by Return on Assets (ROA) within the Indonesian sharia banking sector during the 2019–2024 period. A quantitative approach was employed using secondary data derived from the annual financial reports of 10 sharia banks in Indonesia. Purposive sampling was used to select the sample, resulting in a total of 60 observations. Panel data regression analysis was conducted using EViews software; based on the Chow, Hausman, and Lagrange Multiplier tests, the Random Effect Model (REM) was selected as the estimation model. The results indicate that, individually, DPK has a significant effect on ROA, whereas NPF has a significant negative effect on the ROA of sharia banks in Indonesia. Simultaneously, DPK and NPF exert a significant combined influence on ROA, with an R-squared value of 51.80%. These findings suggest that managing non-performing financing is a key factor in maintaining the profitability of sharia banks in Indonesia.

Abstract

Indonesia in 1997-1998. The main factor that caused the crisis was the government's widening of the economy, in which the government made concessions to borrow debt without strict supervision and selection. As a result, many businessmen were unable to pay their debts on time, so that Indonesia's reputation declined internationally. Islamic ethics is a branch of philosophy that is critical and rational which investigates good and bad and human obligations. Islam as a comprehensive and universal religion regulates all aspects of human life including in the field of trade or commerce business. In the field of worship, Islam stipulates the law "there is no worship except what is regulated in the Al-Quran and Sunnah" while for jnn muamalah activities it only regulates the principles. Business Ethics in an Islamic perspective focuses on principles that do not conflict with the Al-Quran and Sunnah and provide justice and benefit for all parties involved in the business process

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of financial and non-financial compensation on employee turnover intention—both individually and simultaneously—at CV. Berlian Chemical Mandiri. The primary focus is to analyze the extent to which the company's compensation system mitigates employees' desire to leave their jobs, particularly given the high turnover rates experienced by the firm. A quantitative approach utilizing a survey method was employed. Data were collected via questionnaires distributed to all 38 employees of CV. Berlian Chemical Mandiri using a saturated sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software to examine the relationships between the variables: financial compensation, non-financial compensation, and turnover intention. The results indicate that both financial and non-financial compensation have a significant negative effect on employee turnover intention, whether considered individually or simultaneously. This suggests that superior compensation—whether financial or non-financial corresponds to a lower desire among employees to leave the company. The findings also highlight the crucial role of non-financial compensation in fostering workplace satisfaction and employee engagement, thereby enhancing retention and reducing the company's high turnover rate.

Abstract

The growth of the coffee shop business has intensified competition among local café operators, including Mari Kopi in Jeneponto Regency. Consumers no longer consider only product and price; they also weigh the establishment's atmosphere and the service experience provided. This study aims to analyze the influence of store atmosphere and service quality on consumer purchasing decisions at Mari Kopi in Jeneponto Regency. An explanatory quantitative approach with a survey design was employed. Data were collected via questionnaires distributed to 150 consumers selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis techniques included descriptive analysis, validity and reliability testing, classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination. The results indicate that store atmosphere has a positive and significant effect on consumer purchasing decisions. Service quality also positively and significantly influences purchasing decisions, contributing more dominantly than store atmosphere. Simultaneously, store atmosphere and service quality significantly affect consumer purchasing decisions, with an R-square value of 0.829. This indicates that 82.9% of the variation in purchasing decisions can be explained by these two variables, while the remaining 17.1% is influenced by factors outside the research model. These findings imply that Mari Kopi needs to enhance its physical atmosphere, service speed, staff responsiveness, and overall consumer experience to strengthen purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work motivation and self-efficacy on job satisfaction, with work quality serving as a mediating variable, among employees of the Makassar City Education Office. Employing a quantitative approach, data were collected from 63 respondents selected using the Slovin formula from a total population of 168 employees. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression via SmartPLS software. The results indicate that work motivation and work quality have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. However, self-efficacy does not have a significant direct effect on job satisfaction in this context. Work quality was found to act as a significant mediator linking work motivation and self-efficacy to employee job satisfaction. These findings underscore the importance of the agency focusing on strengthening motivation and work quality standards to create a satisfying work environment for employees.
