Abstract

This research was conducted on the premise that the age of using lathes in the Mechanical Technology Laboratory of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Pontianak State Polytechnic has been more than 30 years since this Polytechnic was established. It is predicted that the resulting workpiece is not exactly sized by the tolerance limit given to students. This research was conducted by measuring geometry (geometric metrology) on lathes used by the Department of Mechanical Engineering students during machining practice. This study aims primarily to see whether there has been a significant deviation / beyond the allowable tolerance limit on the lathe used by students of the Pontianak State Polytechnic Mechanical Department, this research will later be able to take benefits that have to do with improving the skills of students of the Pontianak State Polytechnic Mechanical Engineering Department. Data obtained based on direct experiments on the object under study, the data obtained are processed with several analytical techniques by the variables studied, namely roundness analysis. The results showed that the tolerance of sphericity deviations in lathes MB 2 = 64 μm, can produce workpieces with tolerance values above 64 μm (IT 10). On lathes MB 2 = 84 μm, it can produce workpieces with tolerance values above 84μm (IT 10). Lathe MB 3 = 50 μm, can produce workpieces with tolerance values above 50 μm (IT 9). While the MB 4 lathe tolerance of the deviation of the roundness is 92 μm, it can produce workpieces with tolerance values above 92 μm (IT 11). While the lathe MB 5 tolerance of the deviation of roundness is 80 μm (IT 10), it can produce workpieces with tolerance values above 80 μm. Because these machines are still used for education, especially the implementation of practicum in machining process courses and production activities, improvements should be made to improve their performance.

Abstract

The learning method acts as an educational facility that functions to convey learning material to achieve learning goals. It takes creativity from lecturers and those responsible for the teaching and learning process, especially practicum. The results of the study entitled Design Models of Equipment Vapor Compression Refrigeration Cycle To Support Practicum Heat Engine And Fluid Engineering Subject produce a model of a practicum tool that can be used to carry out some practicum contents for refrigeration engines. This model of Vapor Compression Refrigeration Cycle can do several practicums in a refrigeration machine, namely looking for COP from a refrigeration machine, installing a refrigeration machine, incubating a refrigeration machine, pumping down a refrigeration machine and filling in a refrigerating machine. Abstract

This research was conducted to design and create a model of a vortex tube refrigeration system monitoring tool that will be used as a practicum medium in the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering course. Currently, the cooling system used as a practical medium is a vapor compression cooling system. The goal to be achieved in this research is a model of a monitoring tool for vortex tube refrigeration techniques. With this monitoring model, it is hoped that it can be used to carry out practical work on vortex tube refrigeration techniques. The stages of this research start from the design stage, assembly stage and functional testing and data acquisition stages. With research flow; preparation of tools and materials, making monitoring models of vortex tube refrigeration engineering tools, testing tool models, collecting and processing data from model experiments. This monitoring tool model for Vortex Tube Refrigeration can directly monitor things such as; Flow rate, temperature, air pressure and COP, all data is recorded and stored on the SD card. The higher the pressure, the cooler the cold air produced, this is because the vortex tube compresses the air. The highest COP value is 0.31 which occurs at the standard 3 bar setting with v1 and v2 (72 and 61 m3/s), P1 and P2 (1.8 and 0.28 bar).

Abstract

Abstract

Hypertension is a global health issue with a high prevalence, including in Indonesia. South Kalimantan has the highest rate at 44.1% among adults aged ≥18 and above. Most individuals with hypertension remain undiagnosed and untreated. Non-pharmacological interventions, such as hypertension exercise (senam hipertensi), effectively reduce blood pressure through relaxation and improved circulation. This community service program aimed to raise awareness and lower blood pressure among Anjir Serapat Muara 1 Village residents through health screening and hypertension exercise. The methods included an initial health survey, blood pressure measurements before and after the intervention, and several sessions of hypertension exercise. A total of 22 female participants were involved in this activity. Results showed that most participants experienced decreased blood pressure after the intervention. For instance, Mrs. S's blood pressure decreased from 159/103 mmHg to 148/100 mmHg, and Mrs. A's from 149/96 mmHg to 126/81 mmHg. Participants also showed high enthusiasm for the activity. In conclusion, the community well-accepted hypertension exercise as a non-pharmacological approach and effectively helps reduce blood pressure, demonstrating potential for sustainable implementation at the community level.
