Abstract

The subjects in this research were autistic individuals. Based on observations, it is known that individuals experience problems in non-verbal communication that result in individuals being unable to convey or communicate an activity they want to others. The purpose of this research is to determine the improvement of communication skills of autistic children by applying Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC) through Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) media. The research method used is experimental research with the type of Single Subject Research (SSR) research with the design A1-B-A2. Data collection techniques in this study used tests, while the target behavior in this study was 1) able to show pictures of daily activities. The results showed that the application of Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC) through Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) media can improve the communication skills of autistic children. The increase is indicated by the mean level value that increases in each phase through percentage measurement. Baseline phase 1 (A1) obtained a mean level of 28%, intervention phase (B) obtained a mean level of 47%, and baseline phase 2 (A2) obtained a mean level of 46%. From the acquisition of the mean level, it can be seen that the mean level shown in baseline 1 with baseline 2 has increased significantly. This shows that the application of Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC) through Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) media can improve the communication skills of autistic children

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the ladder drill training method on sickle kick speed. Research using a quantitative approach to the experimental method. The population in this study were all 20 Indonesian Satria Muda PPS athletes using total sampling. Data collection techniques were carried out using field observations (observations), literature studies, and measurement tests by conducting pretest and posttest. The test is carried out by kicking the right and left legs with a sickle kick for 10 seconds. The amount of the contribution of the ladder drill exercise given to the speed of the men's sickle kick is 20% for the right leg and 16% for the left leg, while for women it is 19% for the right leg and 31% for the left leg, with t count = 6.398 t table = 2.100, while in the left sickle kick table data obtain t count 6.056 t table 2.100. Based on these data, it can be concluded that ladder drill training can increase the speed of the sickle kick of the PPS Satria Muda Indonesia Unit Serang City athlete

Abstract

Tropical Volcanic Soils from Flores Island, Indonesia (Hikmatullah and K Nugroho): Soils that are developed in tropical region with volcanic parent materials have many unique properties, and high potential for agricultural use. The purpose of this study is to characterize the soils developed on volcanic materials from Flores Island, Indonesia, and to examine if the soils meet the requirements for andic soil properties. Selected five soils profiles developed from andesitic volcanic materials from Flores Island were studied to determine their properties. They were compared in their physical, chemical and mineralogical characteristics according to their parent material, and climatic characteristic different.  The soils were developed under humid tropical climate with ustic to udic soil moisture regimes with different annual rainfall. The soils developed from volcanic ash parent materials in Flores Island showed different properties compared to the soils derived from volcanic tuff, even though they were developed from th e same intermediary volcanic materials. The silica contents, clay mineralogy and sand fractions, were shown as the differences. The different in climatic conditions developed similar properties such as deep solum, dark color, medium texture, and very friable soil consistency. The soils have high organic materials, slightly acid to acid, low to medium cation exchange capacity (CEC). The soils in western region have higher clay content and showing more developed than of the eastern region. All the profiles meet the requirements for andic soil properties, and classified as Andisols order. The composition of sand mineral was dominated by hornblende, augite, and hypersthenes with high weatherable mineral reserves, while the clay fraction was dominated by disordered kaolinite, and hydrated halloysite. The soils were classified into subgroup as Thaptic Hapludands, Typic Hapludands, and Dystric Haplustands.

Abstract

A harmonious family is not just a dream, but a real goal that can be achieved through awareness, commitment, and joint efforts between family members. The household is not only a physical place to live, but also a space to build togetherness, trust, and love that are able to survive in the face of various life dynamics. This research aims to reconstruct the understanding of the rights and obligations of family members in realizing domestic harmony based on the perspective of Islamic law. The method used is normative legal research with a statute approach, which intensively studies legal literature, especially the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI), as primary legal material, and is supported by secondary legal material. The results of the study show that household harmony (sakinah, mawaddah, and rahmah) is not solely determined by material aspects, but rather by the fulfillment of rights and obligations proportionally by each family member. True happiness is born from an attitude of mutual understanding, trust that is maintained, and commitment in carrying out each other's roles and responsibilities. This finding provides a conceptual contribution for married couples to rearrange the pattern of family relations that are just and sustainable in accordance with the principles of Islamic law.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to improve the understanding and capacity of parents, especially mothers, in implementing resilient parenting as a strategy to build disaster awareness in early childhood. The activity entitled "Smart Mom for Disaster Preparedness" was carried out in Kasemen District, Serang City in an area that is classified as disaster-prone through a qualitative participatory approach with the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method. Participants in the activity consisted of mothers, PAUD teachers, and partner school principals. The material provided focused on the importance of effective communication based on love languages to strengthen the emotional relationship between mother and child as the basis for children's psychological resilience in facing emergency situations. The results of the FGD showed an increase in participants' understanding of the concept of resilient parenting and the emergence of new awareness regarding the strategic role of families in disaster mitigation education. Participants also began to apply a more empathetic and reflective communication approach in daily parenting. This activity proves that community-based education with a participatory approach can be an effective strategy in building disaster preparedness from an early age, starting from the family circle.
