Abstract

This study is motivated by the declining understanding of Sundanese traditional culture among elementary school students in West Java, caused by globalization and the suboptimal implementation of local wisdom-based learning in schools. The research aims to analyze the influence of local wisdom-based learning on the preservation of traditional culture using a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. The study involved 50 fourth-grade students randomly divided into two groups: an experimental group of 25 students and a control group of 25 students from one elementary school in Bandung City. Data were collected through cultural knowledge tests, attitude assessments, and observation sheets during three sessions of integrated local wisdom-based learning (e.g., folktales, traditional games, Sundanese arts). The data were then analyzed using t-tests and N-gain analysis. The results of the study showed that there was a significant increase in the experimental group in the knowledge test, with an N-gain of 0.66 or 66% in the moderate category, an increase in attitude assessment of 26%, and an increase in skill observation results of 29%. The main findings prove that local wisdom-based learning is effective in preserving traditional culture while improving student learning outcomes. The study concludes that integrating local content into the elementary curriculum through the development of contextual modules, teacher training, and collaboration with cultural communities is essential. The implications of this research provide empirical evidence for strengthening character education based on local wisdom and formulating educational policies oriented toward cultural preservation in West Java.

Abstract

Fourth-grade elementary students learn Natural and Social Sciences thanks to the pedagogical effects of employing Augmented Reality (AR) diorama media. The study utilizes descriptive qualitative methods to determine how students respond cognitively, conceptually and emotionally to learning environments based on AR technology. The author collected data using interviews combined with observations which involved a descriptive analysis for learner performance alongside participation monitoring. AR dioramas create multi-sensory learning conditions which help students interact directly with contextualized educational content to explore scientific and social phenomena better. The technology improved student motivation and created individualized learning paths at the same time that it supported education practices built on principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL). The study exposed two main hurdles to implementation: restrictions from technology usage combined with the necessity to properly integrate learning methods. The research findings emphasize that teachers should mediate between students and instructional programs through strategic implementation. The study confirms that thoughtfully implemented AR diorama media functions as an effective transformative tool for educational development by connecting novel methodologies with intentional educational practices.

Abstract

Bullying terhadap Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus (ABK) di sekolah merupakan masalah serius yang mempengaruhi perkembangan akademik, sosial, dan psikologis mereka. Guru sebagai ujung tombak pendidikan memegang peran kunci dalam menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang inklusif dan aman. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran guru dalam mencegah bullying terhadap ABK. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan ialah kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur berbagai sumber tertulis (artikel jurnal ilmiah, buku referensi, laporan penelitian, dan dokumen kebijakan).  Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan diagram PRISMA untuk menganalisis 1.248 artikel dengan basis data dari google scholar. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis tematik (thematic analysis) dengan mengadopsi model Braun & Clarke. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pencegahan bullying meliputi tiga aspek utama, adalah pendidikan karakter, manajemen kelas, dan kolaborasi dengan pemangku kepentingan sebagai agen perubahan tentang kebijakan anti-bullying di sekolah. Tantangan utamanya yaitu kurangnya pelatihan guru, keterbatasan sumber daya, dan resistensi sosial. Solusi yang direkomendasikan mencakup pelatihan guru berbasis inklusi, penguatan sistem pelaporan bullying, dan program pendampingan sebaya. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa efektivitas pencegahan bullying bergantung pada komitmen guru, dukungan kebijakan sekolah, dan kesadaran kolektif warga sekolah. Implikasi penelitian ini dapat menjadi acuan bagi praktisi pendidikan dalam mengembangkan strategi yang lebih efektif untuk melindungi ABK dari bullying.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the main research trends, collaboration patterns, and dominant themes in research regarding the use of e-LKM in educational research in Indonesia in the last 5 years (2018–2023) using a bibliometric analysis approach. Data collection through searches based on titles, abstracts and article keywords from Google Scholar and ERIC databases in the last 5 years. The article selection process is carried out systematically using the PRISMA method to ensure data transparency and validity with the help of the VOSviewer application. The results show that the research trend on the use of e-LKM has experienced a significant increase in the number of publications since 2020, mainly driven by the need for distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. The pattern of collaboration between researchers shows that there is a strong synergy in several institutions and regions that contribute greatly to research productivity, such as Universitas Negeri Riau, Universitas Mataram and STKIP Bima as the main contributors. The mapping of the research theme uses a co-word network through VOSviewer to identify four main clusters, including: (1) examining the effectiveness and barriers in the practice of using e-LKM in the real classroom, both from the lecturer and student sides, (2) focusing on the design, development and impact of e-LKM on student learning outcomes, (3) the context of implementation and the use of e-LKM in education in Indonesia, and (4) media innovation and the role of educators in learning process. The findings of this research recommend the need for equitable distribution of research capacity, deepening pedagogical studies, as well as strengthening collaboration across institutions and regions, as well as sustainable innovation to support digital transformation in higher education to develop more inclusive and sustainable e-LKM in Indonesia.
