Abstract

Penyakit gagal jantung kini diakui sebagai masalah utama kesehatan masyarakat. Prevalensi gagal jantung ada 23 juta di seluruh dunia dan lebih dari 5,8 juta di Amerika Serikat. Di Indonesia, angka kejadian gagal jantung berdasarkan gejala gagal jantung ada 530.068 orang (0,3%) dan diagnosa dokter terdapat 229. 696 orang (0,13%). Angka kejadian pasien gagal jantung ada 839 orang di RSUPN Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo dan 335 orang di RS. PGI Cikini. Salah satu keluhan yang sering dirasakan klien gagal jantung adalah sesak nafas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran frekuensi pernafasan pada pasien gagal jantung dan mengetahui hubungan usia, jenis kelamin, IMT (Indeks Masa Tubuh) dan klasifikasi gagal jantung terhadap frekuensi pernafasan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode korelasi pearson di RS X dan Y kota Jakarta selama mei- Juli 2015 sebanyak 50 responden. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahwa mayoritas responden berusia diatas 65 tahun (44%) dan , laki-laki (64%), IMT normal (50%), Klasifikasi gagal jantung fungsional kelas 2 (38%) dan frekuensi pernafasan takipnea (80%). Hasil uji bivariat menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara klasifikasi gagal jantung fungsional kelas terhadap frekuensi pernafasan dengan p-value 0,002 (<0.05) dan tidak adanya hubungan antara usia, jenis kelamin dan IMT terhadap frekuensi pernafasan (>0,05).

Abstract

The application of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in teaching and learning activities has a major influence in improving the quality of education, especially in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 as it is today. Classpoint is a learning platform that supports IT-based learning activities. This study aims to determine the application of Classpoints in learning English at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Karanganyar on elevent grade in the academic year 2021/2022. The research approach is qualitative research, case study research. The method that used to collect data is observation, interviews, and documentation. The methods used to analyze the data are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. To test the validity of the data used data triangulation, method triangulation, and source triangulation. The results of research on the three subjects can be seen that the application of classpoint is very effective for learning English

Abstract

Low Back Pain adalah kondisi umum dan sangat melumpuhkan yang mempengaruhi jutaan orang di seluruh dunia. Prevalensi nyeri pinggang semakin meningkat, dan merupakan salah satu penyebab utama kecacatan dan hilangnya produktivitas. Penyebab nyeri pinggang bisa kompleks, dan mungkin melibatkan faktor biomekanik, psikologis, dan sosial yang saling terkait. Sementara mekanisme pasti nyeri punggung bawah belum sepenuhnya dipahami, jelas bahwa pencegahan dan intervensi dini sangat penting untuk mengurangi beban kondisi ini. Abstrak ini memberikan gambaran tentang nyeri punggung bawah, penyebabnya, dan pentingnya intervensi dini dalam mengelola kondisi tersebut. Low back pain merupakan masalah umum di kalangan penduduk Jakarta, dengan tingkat prevalensi yang tinggi di antara orang dewasa berusia 18-65 tahun. Rasa sakit sering disebabkan oleh postur tubuh yang buruk, aktivitas fisik, teknik mengangkat yang tidak tepat, dan faktor gaya hidup lainnya. Perawatan umum untuk nyeri punggung bawah termasuk obat-obatan, terapi fisik, istirahat dan olahraga, namun efektivitas perawatan ini bervariasi dari orang ke orang. Penelitian telah menunjukkan bahwa perubahan gaya hidup, seperti memperbaiki postur tubuh dan melakukan olahraga teratur, dapat secara signifikan mengurangi kejadian dan keparahan nyeri pinggang di Jakarta. Tujuan: Mengajarkan teknik relaksasi nafas dalam pada pasien low back pain dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan perawat dalam melakukan aktivitas mandiri yang bertujuan untuk meredakan nyeri punggung. Metode: Pada penelitian ini, dua orang responden diperiksa secara fisik, diwawancarai, dan diberikan pendidikan kesehatan menggunakan media leaflet dan demonstrasi teknik relaksasi nafas dalam di Jakarta mulai tanggal 11 April 2022 sampai dengan 16 April 2022. Partisipan telah didiagnosis dengan Low Back Pain secara medis. Hasil: Baik Pasien 1 dan 2 mengalami pengurangan ketidaknyamanan. Sebelum intervensi, pasien 1 mendapat skor 7 pada skala, sementara pasien 2 mendapat skor 8. Pasien 1 mendapat skor 5 setelah intervensi, sedangkan pasien 2 mendapat skor 6. Latihan relaksasi yang dilakukan oleh pasien 1 berhasil. napas dalam karena pasien ditopang oleh lumbar girdle, namun pasien 2 kurang berhasil karena pasien tidak mau bekerja sama dan terlalu lamban untuk berlatih teknik relaksasi napas dalam. Kesimpulan: Disarankan agar perawat dapat menginstruksikan dan mendorong pasien dengan nyeri punggung bawah untuk mempraktikkan teknik relaksasi pernapasan dalam, serta mengajarkan pasien nyeri punggung bawah bagaimana menggunakannya secara efektif dan mandiri di rumah. Teknik relaksasi nafas dalam dapat mengurangi nyeri punggung pada pasien nyeri punggung bawah selama tiga hari. Kata Kunci: Low Back Pain, Teknik Relaksasi Nafas Dalam, Nyeri, Stress, Rileks

Abstract

In the era of globalization and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, 21st-century skills—Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, and Creativity (4C)—are essential for learners' success in dynamic and competitive environments. This study evaluated 4C competencies in English language learners, focusing on comprehensive assessment tools, challenges, and implications. The literature review method was used to analyze various peer-reviewed sources, highlighting effective tools such as rubrics, performance-based assessments, and technology-enhanced platforms. Challenges include the subjective nature of evaluating creativity and the necessity for extensive teacher training. The study emphasized the need for integrating 4C skills into English language curricula to create dynamic learning environments that enhance both language proficiency and essential life skills. The findings suggested that adopting innovative assessment strategies and providing ongoing professional development for educators are crucial. Ultimately, assessing and cultivating 4C competencies will contribute to developing adaptable, innovative, and effective communicators, preparing students for the complexities of the 21st century. Continuous research and investment in this area are vital for advancing English language teaching and learning.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology (ICT) has had a significant impact on various aspects of life, including education. ICT has changed the way of teaching and learning, provided more comprehensive access to education, and improved the quality of learning. The use of ICT in education has various legal implications. These legal implications can be in the form of opportunities and challenges for the world of education. The opportunities that ICT can provide in education include 1) Increasing access to education, 2) Increasing the quality of learning, 3) Increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of education, and 4) Challenges that ICT can provide in education, including data protection, security, and ethics. To overcome these challenges, there needs to be regulations that regulate the protection of personal data and privacy, security, and ethics in education. This study aims to examine the legal implications of using technology in education. Abstract

This qualitative case study investigated the impact of integrating mind mapping in English language learning, emphasizing student engagement and effectiveness. The study, guided by principles outlined by Yin (2014), involves 30 participants enrolled in an English class. The research aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the potential benefits of mind mapping in language education. The methodology employed purposive sampling and data triangulation, incorporating observation, testing, and data processing. Findings from a questionnaire reveal overwhelmingly positive student opinions toward the implementation of mind mapping, with 88.7% finding it useful for learning English, 93.3% for summarizing lessons, and 92.2% for organizing lesson contents. Participants express a preference for mind mapping in group work (52.5%) and pair work (48.3%). Overall, 84.3% enjoy the use of mind mapping in English class. In conclusion, this research provided valuable insights into the benefits of incorporating mind mapping in English language learning, aligning with contemporary educational research advocating for interactive and student-centric approaches. The positive responses from participants underscore the potential of mind mapping to enrich the language learning experience, making it more engaging, effective, and tailored to the cognitive processes of learners. Abstract

The jigsaw is the technique that can be used in many different ways to increase the involvement of students in their own learning. Jigsaw technique can create an effective learning environment. By the jigsaw technique, the students are divided into groups. The groups consist of 5-6 students. The purpose of this research is to study the effect of jigsaw technique on the academic performance of the students in writing narrative. The research has been performed on first semester students of STIKOM Tunas Bangsa Pematang Siantar. The researcher wanted to find out whether or not Jigsaw Technique can increase the students writing skill and to analyze the classroom situation when the Jigsaw Technique is implemented in writing class. This research used CAR and composed for two or more cycles then it observed and evaluated to identify all facts including the success and the failure of the action. After the implementation of jigsaw Technique in every cycle, the students’ writing scores were getting better. It can be seen from the result of students’ average score Cycle 1 was 46.86 and Cycle 2 was 82.23. It can be concluded that Jigsaw Technique can increase their ability in writing narrative text.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of a deep learning–based reading platform in improving EFL students’ reading comprehension achievement. A quantitative approach was employed using a quasi-experimental design, specifically the non-equivalent control group design. The sample consisted of two classes of university students (N = 60), divided into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group used a deep learning–based reading platform equipped with adaptive reading features, difficult vocabulary analysis, AI-generated questions, and automated feedback, while the control group received conventional teaching. A 30-item reading comprehension test, validated and tested for reliability, served as the research instrument. Data were analyzed using paired sample t-tests, independent sample t-tests, and effect size calculation. The results revealed a significant improvement in the experimental group’s reading comprehension scores (p < 0.05). Furthermore, a significant difference was found between experimental and control groups in the post-test results, with an effect size of 1.30, indicating a large effect. These findings demonstrated that the deep learning–based reading platform was more effective than traditional instructional methods in enhancing EFL students’ reading comprehension.
