Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge of physical education students about sports injuries using the PRICES method at UPMI Medan. This research is a descriptive study, with data collection techniques using survey methods. The research instrument uses a knowledge test in the form of true-false. The population in this study was 40 students of the Physical Education Program. The data analysis technique used descriptive with percentage. The results showed that: very high category of 22.50% (9 people), high category of 35% (14 people), moderate category of 25% (10 people), low category of 13% (5 people), and very low by 5% (2 people). These results can be concluded that the knowledge of physical education program students about early handling of sports injuries using the PRICES (Protect Rest Ice Compression Elevation Support) method at UPMI Medan is in the high category.

Abstract

Education is a form of human culture which is a prerequisite for development. Therefore, it is necessary to implement life skills education in learning with the intention of integrating life skills through the implementation of interactive multimedia-based learning models. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of interactive multimedia-based learning models internalized in life skills education that can improve learning outcomes of students in thematic lessons. This research uses a qualitative research approach. Data are analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques to determine the effectiveness of interactive multimedia based learning models in life skills education. The results show that the implementation of an interactive multimedia-based learning model with internalized life skills education involve the realm of personal skills, namely smiling, greeting, and being polite every day in the school environment at primary school of IT Al-Fitrah Binjai. On the other hand, the realm of academic skills involve the variants of learning methods by developing skills that are adjusted to the basic competency standards on the subject of teaching and learning activities.  Internalized interactive multimedia-based learning models in life skills education can improve cognitive abilities, affective, and psychomotor students.  By internalizing life skills education can improve student learning outcomes, so it is very effective to use.

Abstract

Based on the analysis of the data above about the most effective learning methods during covid-19 according to students when learning online, it shows that the perceptions of students and teachers about the most effective applications when learning online are the same, namely the most recommended use of Google Jamboard. The purpose of this activity is to see learning media that can support success based on the teaching and learning process as a form of effective teaching and learning activities in order to achieve the desired goals. The expected result after the implementation of this service is to increase the knowledge and understanding of students, teachers, and principals. This service activity is carried out as a form of caring and concern for the community to support and increase knowledge in the field of education, while the theme that we raise in this case is the socialization of how to use the Google Jamboard. After the completion of this activity in the future teachers, students and school principals during online learning the teacher will more easily provide science material to students IPA by using Google Jamboard.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh media huru ball terhadap membaca anak usia dini. penelitian yang menggunakan Pre-Experimental Designs Bentuk desain yang digunakan adalah One-Grouppretest-Posttest Design, dalam penelitian ini terdapat kelompok yang diberi perlakuan, kemudian bermaksud untuk membandingkan keadaan sebelum dan sesudah diberi perlakuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan observasi dan pengumpulan data. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh anak TK TA'DIBiyah Kec. Patumbak berjumlah 30 anak usia 5-6 tahun yang terdiri dari 19 laki-laki dan 11 perempuan. bahwa melalui kegiatan Media Surat Bola dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan membaca anak usia dini usia 5-6 tahun di TK Ta'dibiyah dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran sebelum adanya kegiatan Media Surat Bola. Dalam mengembangkan kemampuan membaca anak usia dini, pembelajaran yang menarik dapat diberikan melalui Media Letter Ball kepada anak. Media Bola Huruf dinilai sesuai, menarik dan menyenangkan sesuai dengan karakter anak usia dini.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan multimedia sebagai perangkat pembelajaran dalam melatih keterampilan membaca siswa jenjang sekolah dasar (SD). Pengabdian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian research and development (R&D), melalui studi pengembangan Gall & Borg. Pengabdian ini berlatar di SD Percobaan Medan Baru. Model pembelajaran diintegrasikan dengan berbagai perangkat pembelajaran (multimedia) meliputi buku siswa dan buku guru, serta rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP). Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, diketahui bahwa multimedia yang terintegrasi dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa daripada tanpa menggunakan multimedia. Hal ini dibuktikan melalui uji statistik t-test, di mana thitung (9,98) lebih besar dari ttabel (2,00), artinya multimedia yang terintegrasi dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri memiliki tingkat kepraktisan dengan skor 3,39 dalam kategori praktis tanpa peningkatan.

Abstract

Reading is a receptive written language skill. Reading skills are complex activities that involve a variety of skills. This study aims to determine the differences in reading skills of Kindergarten students Nurul Azizi Medan in the academic year 2005/2006 between those who have high intelligence and those with low intelligence. The sample of this study consisted of 20 children. The method used is a quasi-experimental 2x2 factorial design. The analysis technique used is the two-way analysis of variance (two-way ANOVA 2x2) with a level of α = 0.05 using the F-test, further testing using the Tuckey test. The result is that there is a difference in the reading ability of Kindergarten students between those who have high intelligence is better than those who have low intelligence at the level of confidence α = 0.05 with Fh = 13.42 > FT = 4.09, using the Tuckey test obtained Q count = 4.58 > Q table = 3.96. Overall, Kindergarten students who have high intelligence are better than those who have low intelligence.

Abstract

This article examines the effect of mediating student learning awareness on cognitive abilities in improving academic achievement. This article discusses the role of teacher-student relationship variables and learning evaluation in encouraging the emergence of student learning awareness at the elementary school level. The data used are primary data, collected from 135 grade 5 and 6 teachers in 17 elementary schools in the Medan Polonia area, Medan City, Indonesia. Data analysis of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) shows that there is a positive influence on the relationship and evaluation of learning on student achievement through learning awareness and cognitive abilities with a significant correlation (p < 0.05). This article's findings indicate that students' awareness of learning is a mediation that affects the improvement of cognitive abilities and academic achievement of students in the classroom.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasari oleh permasalahan terkait penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri untuk meningkatan kemampuan membaca cepat siswa yang selama ini belum mengaktifkan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menemukan model pembelajaran yang valid, efektif, dan praktis untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca cepat siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan Gall, Gall dan Borg. Penelitian dilaksanakan di sekolah dasar swasta kota Medan. Model pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dilengkapi dengan perangkat pembelajaran yaitu buku model, rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran, buku guru, dan buku siswa. Produk yang dikembangkan dilakukan ujicoba perorangan, ujicoba kelompok kecil dan ujicoba kelompok lapangan. Selanjutnya dilakukan pengujian keefektifan dan kepraktisan model pembelajaran. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan: (1) model pembelajaran yang dikembangkan adalah model pembelajaran inkuiri untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca cepat siswa sekolah dasar yang terdiri dari sintaks, sistem sosial, prinsip reaksi, sistem pendukung, dampak instruksional dan pengiring. Model pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dilengkapi dengan perangkat yaitu buku model, rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran, buku guru, dan buku siswa. Keseluruhan perangkat model pembelajaran inkuiri berbasis (2) model pembelajaran inkuiri yang dikembangkan terbukti efektif untuk meningkatkan capaian hasil belajar siswa, hal ini terbukti melalui pengujian statistik t-test di mana peroleh harga thitung (9,98) lebih tinggi daripada ttabel (2,00), dan (3) model pembelajaran inkuiri yang dikembangkan memiliki tingkat kepraktisan dengan skor 3,39 kategori praktis tanpa perbaikan.

Abstract

Peningkatan kemampuan belajar lempar tangkap bola dalam pola bermain kasti dengan pendekatan bermain bagi siswa sekolah dasar kelas V SD No. 014671 Sentang Kab. Asahan Sumatera Utara Tahun Ajaran 2021/2022 Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah, metode tindakan kelas (class room action research) dengan memberikan perlakuan berupa bentuk permainan. Hasil penelitian Peningkatan kemampuan belajar lempar tangkap bola dalam pola bvermain kasti dengan pendekatan bermain bagi siswa sekolah dasar kelas V SD No. 014671 Sentang Kab. Asahan Sumatera Utara Tahun Ajaran 2021/2022, dengan nilai KKM 75 siswa tuntas belajar pada siklus I dengan diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 78.83%. Sesuai dengan KKM yang telah ditentukan untuk siswa dengan kategori tuntas dalam belajar sebanyak 35 orang, sedangkan siswa dengan kategori belum tuntas dalam belajar sebanyak 1 orang. Untuk presentase nilai klasikal siswa dari 36 orang dengan nilai rata-rata keseluruhan siswa sebesar 80.5%. Improving the learning outcomes of throwing and catching balls in baseball games through a play approach to V SD No. 014671 Sending Kab. Abstract

This study aims to determine the development of a picture and picture learning model for locomotor motion material for fifth grade students at SD Negeri 060890. The research method used by researchers is the Research and Development method. Research and development (R&D) is a basic research activity to obtain information on user needs (needs assessment), then proceed with development activities to produce products and examine the effectiveness of these products (Sugiyono, 2014). Based on the table presented on the previous page, it can be seen that the total score achieved by the teacher in learning through locomotor motion using the picture and picture model with media images at meetings is 35 with Enough criteria. It can be seen in the table, at the meeting that the teacher's skills have not achieved success according to the indicators set. Therefore, at the next meeting the researcher must be able to carry out improvements in learning using poetry writing strategies using picture and picture models with picture media. An effective way for students to avoid pressure is by playing rock-paper-scissors or throwing the ball while singing the rabbit and when the ball stops, it comes forward to show pictures and imitate its movements. After that, the exploration stage. At this stage the teacher forms a discussion group to discuss locomotor movements based on the images shown. The teacher forms this group to make it interesting. In his creations, groups can be made with animal names. And the group imitated the movement based on the animal's name. Next, the teacher provides a learning evaluation. The teacher calls students one by one to imitate what the teacher shows in the picture. Finally, teachers and students reflect on learning. This activity is to get students' responses to the material that has been implemented.
