Abstract

Permainan tradisional menanamkan nilai-nilai budaya dan norma social dalam perkembangan peserta didik di sekolah. Di Kalimantan Utara terdapat banyak jenis permainan tradisioal, seperti permainan Tali Luek  yang. Tujuan penelitian ini, mendeskripsikan unsur-unsur permainan Tali Luekyang dapat digunakan sebagai teknik pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling dalam Konseling  Model KIPAS. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode interaksionisme simbolik, yang dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 3 Krayan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan konstruksi dari setiap permainan yang diantaranya alat-alat yang digunakan, aturan dalam permainan, dan cara bermain, serta penggunaan permainan pan fabat dan gumbak karit sinan sebagai strategi empowering dalam Konseling Model KIPAS.

Abstract

Games, such as the traditional ones, might be benefitted as an alternative media for the delivery of Guidance and Counseling service. With regards to the statement, one of the peculiar games in Indonesia is Tangkap Lokam. Through the conduct of the study, the elements of leadership will be described through the conduct of the Tangkap Lokam games. Then, within the conduct of the study, the qualitative approach using the symbolic interactionism method had been implemented and the study itself took place in the 5th State Junior High School Tarakan. The results of the study show that the construction within the Tangkap Lokam game has implications that might improve the leadership of the students.

Abstract

Setiap budaya memiliki sistem nilai yang dapat menjadi strategi dan penguatan bagi siswa dalam menyelesaikan tugas perkembangan khususnya bidang sosial dan karier. Problematik yang menjadi sorotan pada generasi milenal saat ini ialah siswa kurang memiliki kecakapan hidup sosial yang produktif dan belum optimalnya kematangan karier untuk masa akan datang. Pendekatan konseling berbasis budaya model KIPAS dapat menjadi alternatif solusi untuk mengatasi problematik tersebut, karena sesuai dengan konteks budaya Indonesia. Penelitian ini menjadi suatu kajian untuk mendeskripsikan serta mengkonstruksikan teknik yang akan diterapkan dalam proses konseling berbasis budaya berupa permainan rakyat yang memiliki nilai, falsafah hidup dan pepatah budaya nusantara

Abstract

Politeness, an integral aspect of interpersonal relationships, reflects values and norms within a community, emphasizing respectful behavior that avoids belittling or demeaning others. This study aimed to determine the effect of the Truth or Dare card game in improving the attitude of politeness of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 12 Tarakan. Conducted as a quantitative experimental approach, this study encompassed a population of 90 eighth-grade students, with a sample size of 12 selected using a random sampling technique. Data processing involved descriptive analysis, inferential analysis, and a paired sample t-test utilizing SPSS version 26.0. The hypothesis testing result revealed a significant effect of the Truth or Dare card game in improving the attitude of politeness among the eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 12 Tarakan. This was proven by the probability value which was smaller than the level of significance value (0.0000.05). The pretest indicated 3 (25%) students with very low politeness and 9 (75%) students with low politeness. Contrastingly, the posttest demonstrated a noteworthy improvement, with 6 (50%) students exhibiting very high politeness and the remaining 6 (50%) students displaying high politeness. The pretest and posttest outcomes highlighted positive shifts in indicators such as respect for elders, refraining from inappropriate language or behavior, avoiding interruptions during conversations, seeking permission for entry or item usage, and treating others with empathy. These findings underscored the effectiveness of the Truth or Dare card game in fostering positive character values among students.Keywords: Truth or Dare card game, group guidance, attitude of politeness

Abstract

Problem-solving skills are among the essential soft skills required by students to address the challenges of today’s society. These skills not only help students make critical decisions but also foster the development of positive behavior. This study aims to analyze the impact of group counseling using the six-thinking hats method on students’ problem-solving skills. The research employed a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest experimental design. Data were obtained from pretest and posttest scores measured using a Problem-Solving Skills Questionnaire comprising 30 items. The study sample consisted of 9 students selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon nonparametric statistical test. The results showed a Z-score of -2.668b and an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.008 (< 0.05), indicating a significant effect of group counseling based on the six-thinking hats method on improving students' problem-solving skills. These findings provide valuable contributions to guidance and counseling (GC) teachers seeking to enhance students’ problem-solving skills through innovative approaches. This research also opens avenues for further studies with larger sample sizes to improve the generalizability of the findings.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dialami guru-guru Bimbingan Konseling di Kalimantan Utara adalah kurangnya keterampilan dalam menyusun Penelitian Tindakan Bimbingan dan Konseling (PTBK), sehingga perlu dilakukan pelatihan penyusunan penelitian tindakan Bimbingan dan Konseling agar dapat meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan kepada siswa dan juga untuk menambah wawasan dan keterampilan tentang ilmu Bimbingan dan Konseling. Pelatihan PTBK bagi Guru-guru Bimbingan dan Konseling yang ada di Kalimantan Utara dilaksanakan oleh Program Studi Bimbingan dan Konseling Universitas Borneo Tarakan bekerjasama dengan Asosiasi Bimbingan Konseling Indonesia (ABKIN) Kalimantan Utara yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 18 sampai dengan tanggal 21 November 2021. Tahapan Pelaksanaan pelatihan penyusunan proposal Penelitian Tindakan Bimbingan dan Konseling (PTBK) terbagi menjadi  2 tahap kegiatan. Tahap pertama berupa pendalaman konsep penelitian Tindakan bimbingan dan konseling, dan Tahap kedua berupa praktik penyusunan proposal PTBK. Kemampuan peserta setelah pelatihan dilihat dari penguasaan materi dan dalam kegiatan praktek berupa penyusunan proposal Penelitian Tindakan Bimbingan dan Konseling (PTBK) dinilai baik dengan skors post test sebesar 81%. Antusiasme peserta dalam mengikuti pelatihan juga tinggi dilihat dengan banyaknya  pertanyaan dan umpan balik selama sesi diskusi.
