Abstract

Cinangsi Village is one of the villages located in the Cisitu Subdistrict, Sumedang Regency. A portion of the community works as home-based entrepreneurs, commonly referred to as Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The marketing of their products is still carried out in traditional ways and has not yet utilized digital technology tools that are currently trending. The most prominent issue faced by MSME actors is that they do not know where to start when it comes to online marketing, mainly due to limited skills and understanding of digital technology. Through an approach that involves socialization, participation, and implementation, a three-stage method was applied: the preparation stage, which includes field surveys and communication; the implementation stage, which involves assistance and guidance; and the evaluation stage, which reviews the outcomes achieved. As a result, MSME actors are now able to package their products with attractive designs, promote them through social media, and market them online through popular marketplaces visited by potential customers.

Abstract

Trauma is a psychological response rooted in the subconscious and shaped by past experiences, often intensified by social influences. This study explores how Talk to Me (2022) portrays trauma through the lens of Jacques Lacan’s psychoanalytic theory, focusing on the concepts of the Real, desire, and object a. The film presents possession as a metaphor for psychological fragmentation, with the protagonist Mia’s unresolved grief leading to obsession, identity collapse, and emotional deterioration. The embalmed hand symbolizes object a, an unattainable object of desire, while Mia’s pursuit of connection with her deceased mother triggers a confrontation with the Real, exposing the raw terror of psychic disintegration. Using qualitative methods, this study analyzes the film’s narrative and symbolism through observation, film analysis, and supporting academic sources. Findings reveal that Talk to Me reimagines possession as a reenactment of trauma, where each encounter intensifies inner voids. Ultimately, the film suggests that closure from trauma may not emerge through reunion, but through self-sacrifice and painful acceptance.

Abstract

This study aims to empirically investigate the impact of hospital digitalization as an independent variable, patient satisfaction as a dependent variable, with operational efficiency acting as a mediating variable. Employing a quantitative methodology, the research utilizes explanatory research to examine the causal relationships among sample variables through a survey conducted with 105 respondents who have received services from hospitals equipped with digital technology. A questionnaire featuring Likert scale-based questions was utilized for data collection. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicated that digitalization in hospitals influences patient satisfaction, with operational efficiency significantly mediating the relationship between digitalization and patient satisfaction. The implications of this study for hospital management include the importance of prioritizing investments in digital infrastructure development and enhancing human resource capacity to optimize the implementation of digital transformation. This study establishes that digitalization extends beyond mere technological innovation; it constitutes a strategic element that plays a vital role in significantly enhancing the quality of health services and overall hospital performance.

Abstract

This study investigates the empirical relationship between hospital digitalization, operational efficiency, and patient satisfaction, with a specific focus on the mediating role of operational efficiency. Employing a quantitative explanatory design, data were obtained from 105 respondents who had received digital-based healthcare services in hospitals across Jakarta, Indonesia. A structured questionnaire using a Likert scale was distributed to evaluate perceptions of hospital digitalization, operational efficiency, and service satisfaction. The collected data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.1 to test both direct and indirect causal relationships among the studied variables. The results confirm that hospital digitalization has a significant and positive effect on both operational efficiency and patient satisfaction. Furthermore, operational efficiency also exerts a positive influence on patient satisfaction and serves as a partial mediator between digitalization and satisfaction. The analysis reveals that digitalization enhances efficiency by streamlining administrative workflows, optimizing staff utilization, and reducing service delays, which ultimately improve the overall patient experience. Hospitals with higher levels of digital integration—such as Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Hospital Management Information Systems (HMIS), and telemedicine—demonstrated stronger service performance and responsiveness. The findings highlight that digital transformation is not merely a technological upgrade but a strategic enabler for organizational effectiveness and healthcare quality improvement. For hospital management, this study emphasizes the importance of investing in digital infrastructure, enhancing staff digital competencies, and fostering adaptive work cultures to maximize the benefits of technology-driven efficiency. Ultimately, hospital digitalization acts as a catalyst for sustainable service innovation and higher patient satisfaction across modern healthcare systems.

Abstract

Cashless payment is gradually replacing physical currency in almost every financial transaction across the world. Even though cashless payment methods have been available in Malaysia since a decade ago, their usage has remained relatively low in comparison to other countries. This study aims to analyse the elements that affect the Malaysian youth’s adoption intention and actual use of cashless payment by extending the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) model with two key factors (perceived security [PS] and lifestyle compatibility [LC]). The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) method. The results of this research are: (1) Effort expectancy have a positive effect on intention to use cashless payment, (2) Social influence has a positive effect on intention to use cashless payment, (3) Performance expectancy has a positive effect on intention to use cashless payment, (4) Lifestyle compatibility has a positive effect on intention to use cashless payment, (5) Intention to use cashless payment has a positive effect on adoption of cashless payment. The conclusion of this research is that the antecedents of intention to use cashless payment are effort expectancy, social influence, performance expectancy, and lifestyle compatibility. Meanwhile, the consequence of the intention to use cashless payment is the adoption of cashless payment.
