Abstract

Mahasiswa jurusan Teknik Elektro Universitas Mataram, adalah alumni dari beberapa Sekolah Menengah Atas dari dalam dan dari luar kota Mataram. Mahasiswa tersebut di semester 2 kesulitan dalam menganalisis rangkaian listrik, akibat kurang memahami elemen dirangkai seri atau pararel dalam rangkaian listrik. Masalah ini menyebabkan mahasiswa sulit memahami berbagai metode analisis rangkaian listrik, memerlukan lebih banyak pertemuan dan penugasan mahasiswa. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa SMN 7 di Mataram dalam analisis rangkaian listrik melalui metode peragaan. Pembelajaran rangkaian listrik juga bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman hukum-hukum dasar dan metode analisis rangkaian listrik, meningkatkan nilai pelajaran Fisika, meningkatkan nilai SBMPTN ataupun SNMPTN. Metode yang digunakan adalah melalui pembelajaran dengan menjelaskan elemen-elemen, hukum-hukum dan metode analisis rangkaian listrik, serta cara mengidentifikasi elemen terhubung seri dan pararel dengan metode peragaan. Untuk mendapatkan indikator pemahaman siswa sebelum dan setelah pembelajaran, siswa diberikan 14 soal rangkaian listrik. Sebelum penyampaian materi rangkaian listrik dengan peragaan, dari 33 orang siswa dengan 14 soal, total soal yang dapat dikerjakan dengan benar oleh seluruh siswa adalah 16 soal. Setelah penyampaian materi siswa diberikan soal yang sama, dan jawaban total jawaban siswa yang benar adalah 387 soal. Prosentase peningkatan pemahaman siswa tentang materi rangkaian listrik secara kuantitatif meningkat sebesar 80,31 %. Siswa mengikuti kegiatan dengan penuh semangat, aktif melaksanakan tanya jawab, yang mengindikasikan bahwa materi yang disampaikan menarik dan bermanfaat. Pihak pengelola sekolah dan guru kelas juga mendukung kegiatan pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan. Kegiatan pembelajaran rangkaian listrik dengan peragaan memberikan manfaat untuk siswa dan sekolah.

Abstract

This Community service aims to design and implement an independent electric bicycle battery charging system using an Off-grid Solar Power Plant (PLTS) in the campus environment of the University of Mataram. The charging system is designed with two models: charging via an inverter using the bicycle's built-in charger and direct charging using a charging box equipped with a boost converter, charging regulator module, Arduino, current and voltage sensors, and LCD. The electric bicycle battery charging test started at 09:40–16:10 WITA. The initial voltage when charging the battery was 44.04 Volts and the initial battery charging current was 5.86 A. The battery charging time was 6.5 hours until the battery voltage reached 49.98 Volts and the total energy required was 681.02 Wh (Watt-hour). Testing was carried out on two charging methods, namely fixed and non-fixed currents, to compare charging efficiency and effectiveness. The test results show that the independent charging system can charge a 48 Volt 12 Ah electric bicycle battery in about 6.5 hours with a total energy of 681.02 Wh. Charging efficiency through the charger box ranges from 80–98%. This system is considered effective in supporting the use of renewable energy and environmentally friendly transportation in the campus environment.

Abstract

This article aimed to uncover the meaning behind the phenomenon of fast tarawih prayers that are traditionalized at the Mantenan Islamic Boarding School during Ramadan. The uniqueness of the fast tarawih prayer lies in the speed of the prayer movement which is considered unusual, so that tarawih can be completed in approximately ten minutes. This phenomenon is often the subject of news among Indonesian Muslims and digital media every time the holy month of Ramadan enters. This research belongs to the scope of living Qur'an studies and field research where data is obtained based on field searches through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. To analyze the phenomenon, the researcher used Karl Mannheim's sociology of knowledge theory. The results of the study reveal that: First, the fast tarawih congregation of Pondok Mantenan has been carrying out this practice for generations because it has been traditionalized by the pioneering figures of the pesantren. Furthermore, this becomes a practice that corresponds to the pragmatic needs of the congregation. Second, the understanding of religious leaders and fast tarawih pilgrims of the verse of the virtue of Ramadan and night prayers as well as the hadith of alleviating congregational prayers and the virtue of the majlis of knowledge over sunnah prayers is realised as a form of syiar reviving the night of Ramadan through the practice of fast tarawih. Thirdly, the meaning of verses and hadiths that support the practice of fast tarawih is based on the principle of maintaining the instant cultural reality of the community wrapped in religious traditions.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries prone to natural disasters, one of which is an earthquake that causes impacts caused by the disaster event in the form of losing jobs, homes, and even beloved family members. An earthquake disaster occurred in 2018 in Lombok and was centered in North Lombok Regency, one of the affected areas was Pansor Village both from social and economic aspects. The earthquake caused various kinds of losses such as property losses, socio-economic, environmental damage, loss of human life and so on, so in this case Pansor Village was used as an object of study in community service. The implementation of the program follows the schedule set by LPPM University of Mataram. Activities are focused on program implementation that focuses on communication and observation methods such as the socialization of earthquake disaster mitigation which aims to provide information and knowledge of the importance of always being prepared for the arrival of earthquake disasters. early marriage socialization aims to provide direction on the dangers of early marriage and conduct banana processing workshops so that they are of high selling value which aims to develop raw materials into high-value production materials. With these activities, it is expected that the community will be able to develop raw materials into production materials. Implementation of the community empowerment program is carried out by providing counseling and training. Counseling is given using the lecture method carried out by the presenter and training by demonstrating the actions that have been conveyed in real life. The results obtained from this activity were that the knowledge and skills of the training participants increased, the increase in the knowledge and skills of the participants was because the participants directly demonstrated the material that had been delivered through the simulation session. In general, this activity can be said to be successful.

Abstract

Kualitas tembakau sangat penting dalam industri tembakau untuk menghasilkan produk dengan cita rasa, aroma, dan karakteristik yang diinginkan. Pengeringan yang tidak tepat dapat merusak kualitas tembakau, sehingga diperlukan metode pengeringan yang konsisten dan optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan menguji alat pengering tembakau berbasis oven dengan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) guna meningkatkan efisiensi dan kualitas pengeringan tembakau kasturi. Oven dirancang menggunakan kerangka seng dengan tubular heater berdaya 1000watt dan tegangan 220 volt. Pengujian dilakukan dengan tiga durasi pengeringan pada suhu 50°C: 40, 50, dan 60 menit. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa pengeringan selama 60 menit memberikan hasil terbaik dengan penurunan kadar air sebesar 83,94%, menyisakan kadar air 16,06%, yang hampir mendekati standar Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI) yaitu 15%. Pengeringan selama 50 menit menunjukkan penurunan kadar air sebesar 79,68%, sementara pengeringan selama 40 menit menghasilkan penurunan sebesar 52,64%. Penurunan kadar air menjadi kurang efektif seiring dengan bertambahnya durasi pengeringan. Implementasi teknologi IoT memungkinkan pemantauan dan pengendalian proses pengeringan secara real-time, meningkatkan efisiensi dan konsistensi hasil pengeringan, serta mengurangi kebutuhan sumber daya manusia dan energi. Penelitian ini menunjukkan potensi alat pengering berbasis IoT untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan efisiensi pengeringan tembakau.

Abstract

The theory and application of external lightning protection systems for buildings are not included in the curriculum of the Electrical Engineering Department. Instead, this material is introduced to students through skill training outside regular class schedules, with a focus on components of external lightning protection systems such as finials, down conductors, and grounding. The obligation to install lightning protection systems on buildings is mandated by Law No. 28 of 2002 and Government Regulation No. 36 of 2005. Protection from lightning requires precise planning to be effective in safeguarding buildings. Analysis of lightning strike phenomena and their consequences can be conducted by applying theoretical principles, such as electric fields, magnetic fields, induction voltage, and various theorems related to lightning strike phenomena. Students are provided with an understanding of the concept of lightning strikes, the potential dangers, and the damage they can cause to buildings, living beings, and electronic equipment both inside and outside the building that is affected by lightning strikes. In this simulation, each group is given images of buildings with varying roof shapes and sizes. The buildings are equipped with external lightning protection systems, including the number and placement of finials on the roof, which are then simulated. The effectiveness of the finials placed in these locations is tested to analyze the extent of protection, to ensure that the building is protected from the dangers of lightning strikes.  A total of 40 students participated in this activity, divided into 8 groups. Five groups successfully simulated the installation of finials to achieve an effective level of protection against lightning strikes, while the remaining three groups could only determine the extent of the protection area without being able to plan the installation efficiently. This training provides a benefit by enhancing the knowledge and skills of the students. The students' enthusiasm is reflected in active discussions and question-and-answer sessions that contribute to problem-solving.

Abstract

Solar energy has been developed in wide areas because its potential to replace the current classic energy, fossil fuel. The advantages of solar energy are cheap and clean. To generate solar energy, photovoltaic is used. There are some factors affects the performance of photovoltaic. Some of them are the amount of light beam received and temperature of photovoltaic surface. This research was done to get better understanding of the factors on the photovoltaic performance. In order to reach the goal, two different solar reflector areas and wind velocity were applied. The wind source is coming from a blower while solar reflector was made from glass. The results showed that the watt peak, power point power maximum (PMPP), and output efficiency were increased by application of larger solar reflector and high wind velocity. Larger reflector application resulted in sun light can be focused directly to the solar panel therefore increasing the watt peak. Meanwhile, higher wind speed on the solar panel surface can reduce the solar panel surface temperature which lead to the improvement in maximum output efficiency.

Abstract

Base Transceiver Station (BTS) towers are highly vulnerable to lightning strikes. A lightning strike is a moving electric charge that generates an electric field and a magnetic field, both of which are vector quantities, and induces voltage around the tower. The closer to the tower, the greater the values of the electric field, magnetic field, and induced voltage generated. A 49-meter highs tower in Mataram City is located 25 and 300 meters from residential areas and public facilities. The metabolism of living organisms, such as blood circulation, nerve function, heart rate, lung function, cell growth, and cell division, are also vector quantities. Exposure of living organisms to external electric fields exceeding the threshold of ≥10 kV/m can disrupt their metabolism. It is crucial to determine the magnitude and direction of the electric field vector caused by lightning strikes on BTS towers and how it affects living organisms around the tower. Observations are based on Coulomb's Law and its derivative theories on electric fields. The peak lightning current in tropical areas ranges from 10 to 100 kA, with a frequency of 200 kHz. The electric field intensity at distances of 25 and 300 meters is 58.30, 584.50, 4.86, and 48.71 kV/m, respectively. These results indicate that a distance of 25 meters from the tower is not safe from exposure to high electric field intensity values.

Abstract

Mengingat banyaknya makna nur yang perlu difahami dalam al-Qur’an. Dengan begitu penggalian mengenai nilai-nilai estetika yang ada dalam term nur dalam QS. An-Nur ayat 35, penting adanya. Karena dengan mengetahui hakikat cahaya Allah yang digambarkan dengan perumpamaan dalam QS. An-Nur ayat 35 dapat digali nilai-nilai estetika yang kemudian dijadikan sebuah pengetahuan terkait ragam makna kata nur yan disebutkan dalam al-Qur’an. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode tafsir tematik. Tafsir tematik merupakan suatu metode yang mengarahkan pandangan kepada satu tema tertentu, lalu mencari pandangan al-Qur’an tentang tema tersebut dengan jalan menghimpun semua ayat yang membicarakannya, menganalisis dan memahami ayat demi ayat. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kepustakaan (library research) dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menjelaskan makna estetika penafsiran surah An-Nur ayat 35 menurut Ibnu Katsir dalam kitab tafsirnya Al-Qur’an al-‘Adhim serta mengetahui ayat-ayat yang berkaitan dengan Nur. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini Adapun yang dimaksud pada pembahasan dalam surah Al-Nur ayat 35 kali ini adalah sebuah keestetikan Nur (cahaya) yang disebutkan dalam ayat tersebut. Dalam ajaran Islam, Allah juga menggunakan cahaya sebagai makna penerangan, makna yang jauh dari konotasi negatif. Allah bahkan menggunakan cahaya untuk memisalkan Dzat-Nya yang Agung, hingga menjadikannya salah satu nama Surat Al-Qur’an, yaitu An-Nur. Ia menyebutkan satu ayat secara khusus, yaitu Surat An-Nur 35, mengenai Diri-Nya sebagai Sang Maha Cahaya. Di dalam al-Qur'an, cahaya dapat memiliki makna spiritual dan fisis sebagaimana Ibnu Katsir dalam menafsirkan ayat tersebut. Dalam arti spiritual cahaya dipahami sebagai agama, petunjuk, iman dan kitab suci (al-Qur'an). Sedangkan dalam arti fisis cahaya di dalam al-Qur'an diartikan sebagaimana cahaya dalam pandangan ilmu fisika dan sains.

Abstract

Pendidikan menuntut adanya  keterkaitan antara materi yang diajarkan dengan situasi dunia nyata siswa. Jadi, guru dituntut mampu menerapkan pembelajaran sesuai dengan kompetensi yang harus dikuasai siswa, serta mampu menumbuhkan kreatiVItas siswa. Salah satunya adalah dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran yang tepat. Penelitian berupaya mendapatkan gambaran yang jelas tentang penggunaan media Canva For Education dalam pembelajaran Sejarah kebudayaan islam kelas VI MI Bustanul Ulum Badas. Tujuan penelitian ini ntuk mengetahui pelaksanaan pembelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam menggunakan media  Canva For Education di  MI Bustanul Ulum Badas dan Untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam dengan menggunakan media Canva For Education di  kelas VI MI Bustanul Ulum Badas Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan teknik Penelitian Tindakan kelas dengan Penyusunan perencanaan.  Pelaksanaan tindakan,  Observasi (pengamatan),  Refleksi dan  menerapkan media Canva For Education dalam proses pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan prestasi peserta didik. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu Media Canva For Education memiliki dampak positif dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa yang ditandai dengan peningkatan ketuntasan belajar siswa dalam setiap siklus, yaitu siklus I (55,00%), siklus II (70,00%), siklus III (90,00%).  Media Canva For Education dapat menjadikan siswa merasa lebih mudah memahami pembelajaran.terbukti dengan peningkatan di bidang (a) bekerja dengan sesama teman sebangku yaitu (22,1%) dan mendengarkan/ memperhatikan penjelasan guru (20,8%), dan diskusi antar siswa/antara siswa dengan guru (15,0%).
