Abstract

Most universities manage parking for students and lecturers such as motorcycles and cars. But currently, there are many universities that still use manual methods, Mikroskil University is one of the private universities in Medan City which also still uses manual methods by checking the Vehicle Number Certificate by Mikroskil security officers. This inspection can result in a long queue at the exit of the parking area. In addition, students also have difficulty finding available parking spots in the parking area because there is no system that provides directions to see the availability of parking spots. Therefore, in this study a Smart Parking system was built using the application of the Internet of Things (IoT) system by creating a portal with a QR code scanner and adding a light sensor in each parking spot. The sensor testing results show that the light sensor is able to display the results according to the condition of the vehicle and then send the parking spot data to the application server, then based on the black box software testing, it is concluded that the software functionally runs well and produces results as expected. User testing conducted by students also shows the results as expected.

Abstract

The consistently declining rice harvest will cause several economic and environmental problems. The unstable and unpredictable climate change was believed as the main problem of the declining rice harvest. We proposed a method for forecasting climate change to help the farmer in their rice cultivation. We used Support Vector Regression (SVR) to improve algorithm steps such as normalizing the data and applying an Adaptive Linear Combiner (ALC) to optimize the dataset before we processed it with the algorithm. Our model gets 95% accuracy as measured with the confusion matrix. We believe our model will help the farmers in their rice cultivation with good climate forecasting. A further benefit of this research we belief that with the well-forecasted climate, the usage of pesticides will decrease and will help the vision of the Indonesian government with a green economy

Abstract

Manajemen proyek yang tidak efektif dapat merugikan anggota tim dan pelanggan, terutama dalam industri yang sangat bergantung pada koordinasi dan kolaborasi. Aplikasi manajemen proyek dapat menjadi solusi dengan memfasilitasi perencanaan, kolaborasi, dan dokumentasi secara efisien, sehingga meningkatkan kinerja tim dan keberhasilan proyek. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan tim dan merancang aplikasi manajemen proyek yang lebih efisien. Tahapan penelitian meliputi pengumpulan data melalui tinjauan pustaka, identifikasi masalah aplikasi berjalan, analisis kebutuhan, pemodelan sistem usulan, hingga pembahasan hasil penelitian. Analisis kebutuhan fungsional dilakukan menggunakan Use Case untuk menggambarkan interaksi pengguna dengan sistem. Sementara analisis non-fungsional menggunakan metode PIECES untuk mengidentifikasi kekurangan dalam sistem yang ada dan membuat sistem rekomendasi. Hasil penelitian mengidentifikasi kekurangan sistem yang ada seperti kurangnya fitur online meeting, sistem favourite yang kurang terorganisir, dan organisir penyimpanan file yang lebih fleksibel. Hasil temuan ini diterapkan ke dalam rancangan prototype aplikasi bernama ProjectHubb berbasis web dan mobile yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dan produktivitas manajemen proyek. Rancangan database dibuat dalam bentuk ERD dan prototype dirancang dengan menggunakan Figma.

Abstract

The image quality improvement process plays a very important role. This is because the process can increase the clarity and accuracy of image detection. One type of image detection that exists is the detection of garbage found under the sea. One of the image quality improvement processes is related to noise removal. Noise is a sudden increase in pixel intensity in an image. This can cause various problems that occur such as in medical photos, satellites, and photography. One method used to remove noise from images is using Adaptive Fuzzy Filter (AFF). This method is carried out by first finding the average value of the mean fuzzy set and the gray level fuzzy. After that, the value comparison process is carried out. From the results of the research conducted on 689 images from the dataset obtained, there is a decrease in the amount of noise of around 96,23% of the total noise obtained previously. This can certainly provide good results in terms of changes in noise that have been made.

Abstract

Abstrak Pemerintah Indonesia mendorong akselerasi adopsi teknologi digital oleh UMKM agar tetap produktif. Toko ABC adalah salah satu UMKM yang bergerak dalam bidang distribusi suku cadang kendaraan bermotor. Tim PkM mengidentifikasi tiga masalah utama di toko ABC pada proses pembelian dan persediaan, dan lima masalah utama pada proses penjualan. Salah satu masalah utama pada proses penjualan adalah data pelanggan dan riwayat transaksi penjualan belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal untuk melakukan segmentasi pelanggan. Tujuan dari kegiatan PkM ini adalah mengembangkan aplikasi melalui peningkatan fitur yang berfokus pada manajemen usaha inti toko. Aplikasi ini juga menerapkan K-Means untuk melakukan segmentasi pelanggan menggunakan model RFM. Analisis dan perancangan sistem menggunakan pendekatan design thinking yang terdiri dari 6 (enam) tahapan, dilanjutkan dengan konstruksi sistem, pengujian fungsionalitas, implementasi dan evaluasi aplikasi. Berdasarkan pengujian black-box dan pengujian kepuasan dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 3.2 (interval Puas), maka PkM ini berhasil menyelesaikan masalah yang dihadapi oleh mitra. Kata kunci: aplikasi; segmentasi; pelanggan; K-Means; RFM AbstractThe Indonesian government is promoting the acceleration of digital technology adoption by SMEs to maintain productivity. Store ABC is one of the SMEs engaged in the distribution of motor vehicle spare parts. The Community Service team identified three main issues at Store ABC in the purchasing and inventory processes, and five main issues in the sales process. One of the main issues in the sales process is that customer data and sales transaction history have not been maximally utilized for customer segmentation. The goal of this PkM activity is to develop an application through feature enhancement focused on the core business management of the store. This application also applies K-Means to perform customer segmentation using the RFM model. The system analysis and design use a design thinking approach consisting of six stages, followed by system construction, functionality testing, implementation, and application evaluation. Based on black-box testing and satisfaction testing with an average score of 3.2 (in the Satisfied interval), this PkM successfully addressed the issues faced by the partner. Keywords: application; segmentation; customer; K-Means; RFM

Abstract

Abstrak Yayasan Perguruan Letjen Haryono MT. merupakan institusi sekolah swasta yang bergerak di bidang pendidikan mulai dari tingkat TK sampai SMA. Kendala yang dihadapi oleh mitra adalah jaringan komputer yang sering mengalami gangguan dengan rata-rata 2–3 kali setiap minggu dan durasi downtime sekitar 5–10 menit per kejadian. Gangguan ini berdampak pada proses belajar mengajar di laboratorium lama yang hanya memiliki 20 unit komputer aktif. Kondisi tersebut mengakibatkan keterlambatan praktik, berkurangnya efektivitas pembelajaran, dan ketidaknyamanan siswa. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk menciptakan laboratorium komputer yang baru dengan pemasangan jaringan yang baik sehingga dapat mendukung operasional sekolah. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi pengumpulan kebutuhan mitra, pembangunan sketsa pemasangan jaringan, menyiapkan alat dan bahan yang diperlukan, memasang kabel UTP ke konektor RJ45, konfigurasi jaringan LAN, pengujian jaringan LAN, implementasi sesuai sketsa, dan pemeliharaan. Hasil dari pengabdian ini sesuai dengan tujuan kegiatan yaitu terbentuknya laboratorium komputer baru dengan instalasi ulang jaringan yang menerapkan topologi bintang. Penggunaan laboratorium tidak terlepas dari pengguna yang mengoperasikannya. Oleh sebab itu, disarankan agar perangkat komputer dan kabel yang ada dijaga dan dirawat dengan baik. Kata kunci: jaringan; local area network; pengabdian; topologi bintang. Abstract Yayasan Perguruan Letjen Haryono MT. is a private educational institution that provides learning services from kindergarten to senior high school levels. The main problem faced by the partner is the instability of the computer network, which experiences an average of 2–3 disruptions per week with a downtime duration of approximately 5–10 minutes per incident. This disruptions significantly hampers the teaching and learning process in the old computer laboratory, which was limited to 20 active computer units. This condition causes delays in practical sessions, reduced learning effectiveness, and student inconvenience. The purpose of this community service activity is to establish a new computer laboratory with a properly installed network to support the school’s operational activities. The methods implemented in this activity include collecting partner requirements, designing a network installation sketch, preparing the necessary tools and materials, crimping UTP cables to RJ45 connectors, configuring the LAN, testing the LAN, implementing the network design, and conducting maintenance. The results of this activity successfully achieved the objectives, namely the development of a new computer laboratory with a reinstalled network using a star topology. Since the laboratory usage depends on users, it is recommended that computers and cables be properly maintained to ensure long-term functionality. Keywords: network; local area network; service; star topology.

Abstract

SMAS Wiyata Dharma is a school in the city of Medan and has been established since November 14 1985. This school is located on Jalan Wahidin No. 31 Medan, North Sumatra Province. This school has currently received an A accreditation rating. This school generally not only provides educational curriculum lessons but also provides learning related to computer science which can help students prepare themselves for the outside world. One of the lessons in computer science, namely mobile apps and the most widely used programming language is the Flutter programming language developed by Google. Through collaboration with Mikroskil University, SMAS Wiyata Dharma students are equipped with the ability to create mobile applications using Flutter in collaboration. This training activity lasted for 2 days and was carried out in the Mikroskil University computer laboratory. During this training activity, students were given pre-test questions, material and case studies, as well as post-tests and feedback at the end of the training. From the results of the pre-test and post-test, it can be seen that there is an increase in students' understanding of the results of the service carried out and from the feedback that has been shared with students, it can be seen that all students agree that the training carried out is in line with the students' expectations.
