Abstract

Community service is carried out by UPB industrial engineering lecturers to provide contributions and support from the campus to the community. Education is a conscious and systematic effort that guides students to obtain the ideal nature and quality of education. Education should support the physical and mental development of students until they reach adulthood. Education, both formal and informal, cannot be separated from life. Students get information and insight from teachers who act as mentors/trainers. However, because the number of students in one class is large, teachers cannot provide individual teaching. Science exhibitions at schools are a means to foster children's creativity, so teachers and students use science exhibitions as a source of information, facilities, and supporting media in the learning process. Meaningful project-based learning is one way to improve children's skills, and this event provides a lot of insight. Students can also actively participate in project implementation. Three methods are used to achieve this philanthropic goal: lectures, Q&A discussions, training, and project creation. The projects created have a positive impact on children, and receive good support from parents because the sixth grade students can create good work and can present it well.

Abstract

This activity of devotion to society is carried out by a team of professors of industrial engineering of a former paramadina (upb) university as a form of real contribution in supporting improved education at the middle school level.This program is focused on the development of creative thinking skills and the soul of the entrepreneurship through the approach of project-based learning (project-based learning), which is in effect packed in the form of natural soapmaking training with cold process methods.This method not only introduces basic chemical principles to students, but also encourage understanding of the economic potential of the products they produce., So it's relevant to build entrepreneurial mindsets from an early age..During activity, The teacher's team played an active part in accompanying the 11th grade student high school al wildan islamic school 2 to design, execute, and evaluate the specified project.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze ergonomic risk in manual lifting activities at the food storage warehouse of PT XYZ, located in Cikarang Barat, using the NIOSH Lifting Equation method. A total of 20 workers were observed, with ergonomic variables measured such as load weight, lifting frequency, lifting distance, and body posture. The results showed that the average initial Lifting Index (LI) was 2.328, significantly exceeding the safe threshold (LI ≤ 1), indicating a high risk of musculoskeletal disorders. After an intervention using a team lifting system, the average LI decreased to 1.207. Although not yet fully within the safe zone, this method effectively reduced ergonomic risk. Recommendations include ergonomic training, use of lifting aids, and broader implementation of team lifting. This study employs a descriptive quantitative approach.

Abstract

PT. X is a manufacturing company that produces fire extinguishers (APAR), where cylindrical plate welding is a critical process. However, the process is often inefficient due to several non-value-added steps. This study aims to improve welding productivity using Lean Six Sigma through the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) approach and by measuring Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). The initial OEE value was 67.49%, far below the world-class standard of 85%. Pareto analysis showed the highest downtime was due to cycle time issues, especially during setup and cutting of additional plates. Improvements were made by eliminating the cutting process and adding a stopper to ensure accurate welding positions. These changes reduced the cycle time from 180 seconds to 120 seconds and increased the OEE to 76.12%.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPT. CHN merupakan perusahaan yang fokus dalam industri pembuatan sistem pengereman pada kendaraan motor dan mobil atau biasa disebut “Brake System”. Namun pada penelitian kali ini difokuskan dibagian Piston Caliper karena fungsi peranan Piston Caliper sangat penting untuk mendukung terjadinya sistem pengereman. Pada saat ini masih ada hasil produk yang ditemukan NG (Not Good) pada saat produksi tersebut baik dari proses Forging, Cutting, Grinding, Plating, dan Poleshing. Ada beberapa jenis defect pada Piston Caliper yaitu dimensi, dented, kerut, step,dan belang. Demi meningkatkan hasil kualitas produksi, dalam penelitian ini dirumuskan bagaimana cara menurunkan hasil defect pada setiap proses produksinya menggunakan metode SQC (Statistical Quality Control).  Produk dengan tipe jenis Piston Caliper KWBA merupakan produk dengan permintaan dan defect tertinggi maka harus dilakukan analisa produksi secara berkala setiap harinya dengan menggunakan metode SQC tersebut maka pengendalian produksi dapat berjalan dengan baik. Dari data penelitian didapatkan bahwa Piston Caliper KWBA memiliki NG terbanyak sebesar 51% dari total keseluruhan NG pada produk Piston Caliper. Disisi lain jumlah permintaan pada produk Piston Caliper KWBA paling tinggi diantara yang lain, yaitu berjumlah 255.350. Namun jika dihitung dari jumlah permintaannya yang cukup banyak Piston Caliper KWBApun masih tergolong baik karena hanya menghasilkan NG sebanyak 1.075 dari total permintaan yang 255.350. Jika dikalkulasikan yaitu berjumlah 0% (0,00421). Potensi terjadinya defect pada produk berasal dari proses produksi baik dari Manpower yang tidak bekerja sesuai dengan SOP yang berlaku. Kata kunci: statistical quality control(sqc), piston caliper, pengendalian kualitas. ABSTRACTAnalysis product quality control piston caliper at check finish part in a statistical quality control (sqc) in pt. chn (chemco harapan nusantara). PT. CHN is a company focus on the manufacture of systems of braking in a motor vehicle and cars or commonly called “brake system”. This research focused on part piston caliper function because the piston caliper is essential to support the braking system. At the moment there are NG ( Not Good ) product are founded in the  process of forging, cutting, grinding,  plating, and poleshing production. There are several types of defects in the piston caliper namely dimensions, dented, wrinkle, step, and mottled. To improve the quality of the results, in this research it is formulated how to reduce  the defect in each production process using  SQC(Statistical Quality Control) method. Products with the  type of  piston caliper KWBA are  products with the highest  demand for defect, so production analysis must be carried out regularly every day using the SQC method so that production control can run well. From the research data it was found that piston caliper KWBA had the most NG of 51 % of the total NG in piston caliper products. On the other side the number of requests for piston caliper KWBA products is the highest among others, which are 255.350. If it is calculated, it is 0 % (0.00421). The potential for defects in the product comes from production process either from an unskilled manpower who do not work in accordance with prevailing SOP. Keywords :  piston caliper, sqc, quality control
