Abstract

A clean and healthy environment is the most basic thing for every living thing. To create a clean and healthy environment in our environment, it is necessary to equip or instill education on the reduce, reuse and recycle movement for a clean Indonesia or commonly called the 3R movement. Especially equipping the clean Indonesia movement from an early age at the elementary school level. The provision of the 3R movement is expected to be able to prepare excellent human resources who care for a clean and healthy environment. The purpose of this research is to design and document the provision of the 3R movement for a clean Indonesia at Midori Cikarang Selatan Elementary School. The debriefing is designed in 3 stages, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The results of this training are expected for each individual not to litter which can cause environmental pollution, ecosystem damage, natural disasters, and disease. Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan para dosen teknik industry UPB untuk memberikan kontribusi dan dukungan dari kampus kepada masyarakat yaitu dalam mengimplementasikan keilmuan yang dimiliki dosen yang di terapkan kepada masyarakat di pendidikan dasar (SDS Peachblossoms). Langkah yang tim kita lakukan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini untuk membekali siswa kelas 6 memiliki kopetensi dalam membuat karya dalam pekan ilmiah ini yaitu pengenalan karakteristik siswa, berdiskusi dengan siswa untuk menentukan apa karya yang akan dibuat, konsultasi atau tanya jawab kepada siswa terkait projek, pembuatan projek, dan latihan presentasi. Pengabdian kali ini berjalan dengan lancer dan kami selaku dosen mendapatkan pembelajaran berharga yaitu kami mampu beradaptasi dengan siswa di tingkat pendidikan dasar dan mampu mengaplikasikan ilmu yang kita miliki kepada masyarakat di bidang pendidikan dasar.

Abstract

Kaizen or continuous improvement is an integral part of the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM). Kaizen is a continuous improvement and has the goal of increasing work safety, quality, productivity and costs. Kaizen can improve product efficiency and quality. This study aims to show the effective application of seven tools as a quality. This study aims to show the effective application of seven tools as a quality management tool to reduce color defects in the process of coloring and compounding the plastic pellets. Where the seven tools approach plays an important role as quality management tools in the kaizen process in the company. The case study was carried out by a plastic seed coloring and compounding company located in Bekasi. The high rework process and the cost of color correction due to color out defects are considered to be one of the causes of reduced company profits. Based on data processing using the seven tools approach and the improvements made, there were significant savings.

Abstract

Indonesia is the number two coconut producing country in the world. Indonesia's coconut soil productivity is still low compared to Sri Lanka and India. Demand for coconut -based products continues to increase, both for export and for the domestic market. The main product of nata de coco apart from being an export material, can also have other potential that can be utilized by diversifying nata de coco derivative products. The use of biocellulose contained in nata de coco into bio sheet, bio cellulose mask, bio fiber pulp and bio fiber powder is an opportunity to diversify products and increase exports. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of nata de coco drying process on fungal growth in nata de coco biocellulose. The tools and materials used were nata de coco (sheet), vacuum oven, manual press, cloth material, analytical balance with precision (0.01g) and SEM test equipment (microscopic electron scanning) at PT. CMM. In the method of analysis, this research uses quantitative and qualitative analysis methods, then to see the development of fungi from different types of drying having different % water content so that we can know how long the best drying time for drying nata de coco so. That it is not easily attacked by fungi. In the process of making nata de coco that has been collected from sellers/distributors of nata de coco obtained from nata de coco farmers in Cianjur. Dried in an oven at 950C for 1-5 hours to become dry biocellulose fibers. In the nata de coco water content test, the water content was 93.48% and from the water content characteristic test results, the best water content and biocellulose were obtained at the composition of 91.32% water content and 8.68% biocellulose on heating for 5 hours.

Abstract

Employees are one of the important stakeholders in an organization. It is undeniable that the role of employees in the realization of products and services will determine the final result of a product or service. Employees in this case are defined as internal customers in the organization. If the satisfaction of employees as internal customers will certainly provide positive satisfaction to customers. Because of the importance of employee satisfaction, it is important for management to always measure and describe how the company's performance is in providing employee satisfaction. INTQUAL is a method of measuring employee satisfaction by considering employee expectations. With this method, the company will find it easier to find out the gap between expectations and actual so that it will be easier to analyze corrective actions. The results of this study, obtained 4 (four) parts of the priority scale, namely high priority, good performance, low priority and the possibility to kill / excess attributes.

Abstract

SAn established company has a goal to produce products and services. To determine the company's performance in terms of quality and other KPI’s as measurement indicators are applied in the company. One way to measure organizational achievement with KPI to be more accurate is to use the SMART method. The expectation of a company that implements KPI is the optimal achievement of the specified target even though the implementation of several components has not been achieved. Production Ratio is one of the company's KPIs, some Plants have not met the expected expectations. There are 4 production plants, 3 plants did not reach the target, from the results of data processing Plant 1 has the highest DPMO value and the lowest Sigma when compared to other plants, process variations and product types affect quality and have an impact on KPI achievement.

Abstract

PT Suzuki Indomobil Motor Plant Cikarang is a company engaged in the 4-wheeled automotive (car) sector, which carries out the assembly process from the base to becoming a car product. PT Suzuki Indomobil Motor Plant Cikarang also produces car components, one of which is a car engine component, namely Cylinder Head products. In the cylinder head component production process, there are problems with NG products sent to the next process, which is quite high, reaching 43.12% of the total NG product. From these data, further analysis was carried out, it was found that the cause was the gate cutting and baritory processes, the product inspection process was not optimal so that the NG product was sent to the next process. To deal with these problems the company uses the QC Seven Tools and poka-yoke approaches which have been carried out in the gate cutting and baritory processes by making a special jig for the Cylinder Head checking process so that the possibility of the product passing to the next process is small. The result of the improvement that has been made is the decrease in the percentage of NG products that pass to the next process to 8.33% from the previous data, which was 43.12% over a period of 4 months.

Abstract

Quality anomalies in the production process cause an increase and decrease in the defect ratio during the current period. During the October-December 2021 period, the production of Berhinge cable protectors resulted in a defect ratio of 3,565 ppm. Defects on cracked hinges are the highest contributor to defect data from the entire production of cable protectors. The hinge cracks on the part are caused by parameter deviation which causes the addition of material so that the part loses flexibility. Six sigma is one of a methodologies for determining the source of problems to produce corrective solutions that can prevent recurring problems. This study used the six sigma method in repairing hinge crack anomaly defects in the production of cable protector berhinge. In the implementation of repair activities using six sigma can show a decrease in the ratio of defects in the production process of cable protector berhinge. In the January-March 2022 period there was a decrease in the initial defects ratio of 3,565 ppm which could decrease to 1,905 ppm.

Abstract

Indonesia adalah negara produksi kelapa terbesar kedua di dunia, pemanfaatan kelapa di Indonesia belum dimanfaatkan dengan baik sehingga menjadi limbah sampah begitu saja, padahal batok kelapa masih bisa dimanfaatkan sebagai arang atau briket yang memiliki daya jual yang menguntungkan jika dimanfaatkan. Penggunaan briket arang tempurung kelapa merupakan salah satu solusi dalam usaha untuk menggali sumber energi alternatif dan mengurangi pencemaran lingkungan. Briket arang sekarang sudah banyak ditemukan dimana-mana, sehingga penelitian juga harus terus dikembangkan pada bidang briket arang ini sehingga peneliti mampu membuat briket yang memiliki daya saing pasar atau memiliki kualitas lebih baik dibanding produk briket rata-rata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbedaan bentuk briket kubus dan tabung terhadap laju pembakaran, sehingga nantinya penelitian ini diharapkan akan berlanjut menjadi Program Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) untuk kepentingan UMKM masyarakat sekitar. Pada penelitian ini digunakan metode eksperimen untuk mengetahui laju pembakaran briket melalui variasi bentuk briket. Data yang diambil adalah berat briket (W) dan waktu (t) yang diperlukan untuk menghabiskan briket tersebut. Desain briket yang di ujikan adalah 0,72 g/cm3 dan briket dibakar dalam tempat dan waktu yang sama. hasil perhitungan laju pembakaran yaitu pada bentuk kubus 0,006709608 g/menit dan bentuk tabung berongga 0,010080645 g/menit. jika dibandingkan dengan persentase didapatkan laju pembakaran dengan bentuk tabung berongga lebih cepat atau lebih efektif 66,5% dibandingkan dalam bentuk kubus. Penelitian ini sesuai dengan penelitian sebelumnya.

Abstract

The design of production facilities greatly affects the company's performance because a poor layout can lead to inefficient material flow, increased production costs, and delays in product completion. A good layout in the manufacturing industry is important to maximize area usage and create a smooth flow of materials. Factory layout problems, such as long material movement distances between departments, can affect productivity and profitability. This study aims to minimize material handling costs by determining the best layout. The steps taken include calculating material transfer distances and handling costs in the initial layout, as well as proposing a new layout using the 5S method. After data processing, the initial layout distance previously had a distance of 31.49 m on the proposed layout to 27.63 m and the OHM of the previous initial layout was Rp. 19,213,161.63 per month on the proposed layout to Rp. 16,984,714.11 per month. The results show improvement, with a reduction in material transfer distance and lower monthly handling costs in the proposed layout.
