Abstract

Instant noodles are one of the favorite foods in Indonesia. Many food and beverage companies compete to attract consumer interest by providing promotions for various flavors of instant noodle products. The health issue of instant noodle products has become a concern for business owners who want to provide healthier food. However, the importance of healthy food has yet to receive a positive and significant response from Indonesian consumers. Increasing consumer interest in healthy food in Indonesia is crucial since it can significantly affect public health. This study aims to measure the effect of convenience, advertising, subjective norms, and product attributes as antecedents of people's purchase intention for healthy instant noodle products. This research used a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to respondents selected through a purposive sampling technique based on the criteria: consumers of healthy instant noodle products who have previously purchased instant noodles or a variety of healthy instant noodles. A total of 210 respondents participated in filling out this research questionnaire. Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was used as an analytical technique. The results of this study indicate that subjective norms are not proven to be an antecedent that affects consumer purchase intentions for healthy instant food products. In contrast, product attributes are the most influential antecedent. This study provides academic implications by adding literature on the antecedents of people's purchase intentions for healthy instant noodle products. The practical implications, especially for business owners, are shown by helpful information to improve campaigns, promotions, and product sales. Abstract

This research arises from the critical need to optimize knowledge internalization within the SECI Model, especially in organizations handling complex and regulated information such as public financing. The study aims to identify the limitations of the existing Knowledge Management System (KMS), implement a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)-based AI Chatbot prototype, and evaluate its effectiveness in facilitating knowledge internalization. A qualitative case study approach was employed using the Design Science Research Method (DSRM). Data were collected through in-depth interviews and prototype testing involving 10 purposively selected respondents from the Public Financing Division of PT SMI. Findings indicate that the conventional KMS is suboptimal, leading to high dependency on social learning and the "walking library" phenomenon, where critical knowledge is siloed within specific individuals rather than being institutionalized. The implemented AI Chatbot prototype successfully accelerated the learning curve for new employees, reduced cognitive load – the mental effort required to search for and synthesize information, and received positive evaluation based on the KMS Success Model dimensions. The study implies that organizations should transition their knowledge-sharing culture from individual dependency to smart system-based interactions.

Abstract

This study explores succession planning to ensure the long-term sustainability of family businesses, a critical issue given the high failure rate linked to ineffective leadership transitions. Focusing on Sedap Catering, a family business established in 1987 in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia, the research aims to analyze the stages and dynamics of succession, specifically how the founding generation applies strategies to potential successors. Family businesses are crucial to the Indonesian economy, but they often face challenges in maintaining leadership continuity. Theoretical frameworks include family business theory, succession planning, and stewardship theory, offering insights into the motivations of family leaders during the succession process. A qualitative approach is used with a single case study, involving in-depth interviews, observations, and document studies. Five key respondents were selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis is conducted using thematic analysis, triangulation, and member checking to ensure reliability. The results show that Sedap Catering’s succession process is informal yet structured, reflecting the family’s values of trust, continuity, and service quality. Successors are selected based on character, competence, and commitment, with gradual integration into the business and continuous evaluation. This method ensures smooth leadership transfer, strong employee loyalty, and family harmony. The study provides practical insights for family businesses in Indonesia and contributes to academic understanding of succession planning.
