Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan penggunaan model inkuiri Jurisprudensial dalam pembelajaran keterampilan menulis karangan argumentasi siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri Waplau. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen penuh yang terdiri atas dua kelompok. Kelompok tersebut adalah kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model inkuiri jurisprudensial menulis karangan argumentasi efektif diterapkan dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar bahasa indonesia siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri Waplau. Artinya, model pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model inkuiri jurisprudensial  merupakan strategi yang dapat mengubah proses (membentuk perilaku belajar siswa) dan hasil belajar siswa, (2) peningkatan hasil pada kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan penggunaan model inkuiri jurisprudensial tampak pada perolehan nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen lebih baik yaitu pada kelas eksperimen nilai postes yang mendapat nilai 65 ke atas sebanyak 25 siswa (89,28%), sedangkan pada nilai 65 ke bawah hanya 3 orang siswa (10,72%). Dibandingkan dengan pada kelas kontrol nilai postes nilai 65 ke atas sebanyak 7 orang siswa (25) sedangkan nilai 65 ke bawa sebanyak 21 (75%).   Kata kunci: karangan argumentasi, model inkuiri jurisprudensial.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis penyimpangan prinsip kesantunan berbahasa dan penyebab penyimpangannya. Jenis penelitian ini tergolong penelitian kualitatif. Teori utama yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data hasil penelitian adalah teori pragmatik, Geoffrey Leech tentang prinsip kesantunan berbahasa. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh tuturan siswa atau wacana percakapan lisan dan informasi situasi tutur. Adapun sumber datanya diperoleh dari siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Panca Rijang Sidenreng Rappang. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada tuturan yang terjadi dalam interaksi belajar-mengajar untuk mengetahui wujud jenis dan penyebab penyimpangan prinsip kesantunan berbahasa di kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Panca Rijang Sidenreng Rappang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik rekam, teknik catat, dan wawancara tidak terstruktur. Analisis data melalui empat tahapan,yakni pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian sekaligus penganalisisan data dengan teori pragmatik, Geoffrey Leech tentang prinsip kesantunan berbahasa, dan penyimpulan /verifikasi. Keabsahan data diperoleh melalui ketekunan pengamatan, perpanjangan pengamatan, pemeriksaan dan diskusi sejawat, serta triangulasi.          Hasil penelitian  menunjukkan  bahwa  penyimpangan  prinsip kesantunan berbahasa yang terjadi dalam interaksi belajar-mengajar bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Panca Rijang Sidenreng Rappang, yakni penyimpangan tunggal dan penyimpangan ganda. Penyimpangan tunggal meliputi (1) penyimpangan maksim kearifan, (2) penyimpangan maksim kedermawanan, (3) penyimpangan maksim pujian, (4) penyimpangan maksim kerendahan hati, dan (5) penyimpangan maksim kesepakatan serta (6) penyimpangan maksim kesimpatian, sedangkan penyimpangan ganda meliputi (1) penyimpangan maksim kearifan dan maksim kedermawanan, (2) penyimpangan maksim kearifan dan maksim kesepakatan, (3) penyimpangan maksim kearifan dan maksim pujian, (4) penyimpangan maksim kearifan dan maksim kerendahan hati, (5) penyimpangan maksim kedermawanan dan maksim pujian, (6) penyimpangan maksim kearifan dan maksim kesimpatian, (7) penyimpangan maksim kedermawanan dan maksim kesepakatan, dan (8) maksim kerendahan hati dan maksim kesepakatan. Jenis penyimpangan yang paling sering muncul yaitu maksim kearifan, yaitu sebanyak 39 kali dengan persentase 30%. Penyebab penyimpangan prinsip kesantunan berbahasa dalam interaksi belajar-mengajar bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Panca Rijang Sidenreng Rappang meliputi (1) penyimpangan disebabkan oleh penutur sengaja menuduh mitra tutur, (2) sengaja berbicara tidak sesuai dengan konteks, (3) protektif terhadap pendapat, (4) dorongan rasa emosi penutur, (5) kritik secara langsung dengan kata-kata kasar, dan (6) mengejek serta (7) tidak memberikan rasa simpati kepada mitra tutur.          Penyebab penyimpangan yang paling sering muncul yaitu kritik secara langsung dengan  kata-kata yang kasar, dorongan rasa emosi penutur, dan mengejek. Oleh karena itu, peserta tutur hendaknya dapat memahami dan menerapkan prinsip kesantunan berbahasa sebagai wujud ekspresi dengan cara yang baik atau beretika.   Kata Kunci : interaksi belajar-mengajar; kesantunan berbahasa; prinsip kesantunan. Abstract. The research aims to describe the types of deviation of language politeness principle and the cause of deviation. The research was qualitative. The main theory employed to analyze the data of the results of the research was Geoffrey Leech pragmatics theory about language politeness principle. The data of the research were all of the students? speeches or oral conversation discourse and speech information situation. The data source was obtained from the students of class XI at SMAN 2 Panca Rijang Sidenreng Rappang. The research was focused on speeches occurred in learning-teaching interaction to discover the from, types, and cause of the deviation of language politeness principle in class XI at SMAN 2 Panca Rijang Sidenreng Rappang. The data of the research were collected by recording, note-king, and unstructured interview technique. The data of the research were analyzed through four stages, namely data collections, data reduction, presentation, as well as data analysis with Geoffrey Leech pragmatics theory, and conclusions/verification. The data validity was obtained through perseverance observation, extension observation, examination, and peer discussion as well as triangulations. The results of the research reveal that the deviations of language politeness principle which were occurred in learning-teaching interaction in Bahasa Indonesia of class XI students at SMAN 2 Panca Rijang Sidenreng Rappang are single and double deviation. Single deviation covered (1) wisdom maxim deviation, (2) generosity maxim deviation, (3) praise maxim deviation, (4) modesty maxim deviation, (5) deal maxim deviation, and (6) sympathy maxim deviation, while double deviation covered (1) wisdom and generosity maxim deviation, (2) wisdom and deal maxim deviation, (3) wisdom and praise maxim deviation, (4) wisdom and modesty maxim deviation, (5) generosity and praise maxim deviation, (6) wisdom and sympathy maksim deviation, (7) generosity and deal maxim deviation, and (8) modesty and deal maxim deviation. The types of deviation which most often appeared str wisdom maxim which appeared 39 times with percentage by 30%.  The causes of the deviation of language politeness principle in learning-teaching interactions in Bahasa Indonesia of class XI students at SMAN 2 Panca Rijang Sidenreng Rappang cover (1) deviation caused by the speakers intentionally accused the speaking partner, (2) intentionally speak not accordance with the context, (3) protective on opinion, (4) the speaker?s emotional impulse, (5) direct critic with harsh words, (6) mocking, and (7) no sympathy given to the speaking partner. The causes of deviations  which most often appeared are direct critic with harsh words, the speaker?s emotional impulse, and mocking. Therefore, the speakers should understand and apply language politeness principle as a from of expression in good or ethical ways.   Keywords: learning-teaching interaction; language politeness; politeness principle.

Abstract

The Covid-19 virus has impacted almost every element of human life. Various official actions, especially those taken by the Indonesian government, have been taken to break the chain of transmission of the virus. One of the sectors that will determine the condition of this pandemic is the education of elementary school children. So far, the Ministry of Education and Culture has not urged local governments to open schools outside the yellow and green zones. The purpose of this research is to find out the effectiveness of online learning for high school students in Buru State on learning achievement in the Covid-19 situation. This study uses a combination of quantitative and qualitative research. Quantitative research was conducted to see the level of student learning effectiveness. Qualitative research was conducted to determine student responses to the implementation of learning from home. This is done equally, not too dominant in one of them. Data collection techniques used is a questionnaire using a questionnaire via a google form that is given to students once a month to get an overview of the implementation of online learning during that month. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing drawing/verification. The results of the study indicate that the low learning achievement of students caused by bold learning has made the parties redevelop the applied learning process and increase the intensity of learning so that students experience increased achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between mathematics and traditional crafts through a case study of bamboo weaving, specifically patappi or tampah. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research identifies numerical patterns and mathematical modeling inherent in the structure of bamboo weaving. Data were collected through direct observation, visual documentation, and literature review, then analyzed using number pattern concepts and mathematical functions to understand the complex geometric structure within the weaving patterns. The results indicate that the bamboo weaving pattern contains organized geometric structures, such as arithmetic sequences and Pascal’s triangle, reflecting mathematical regularity. Additionally, this study measures the tampah's capacity for filtering rice based on its size and rice density. These findings enrich understanding of the interaction between culture and science and highlight the importance of ethnomathematics in preserving local culture. Abstract

This study aims to describe objectively and clearly the shift in the use of the Bugis Barru dialect in Makassar City in a sociolinguistic study. This type of research is qualitative research. The data in this study are in the form of speech by Bugis Barru dialect speakers in Makassar City and data sources from Bugis Barru dialect speakers. Furthermore, the data collection techniques for this study are observation, interviews, and documentation using qualitative analysis as a data analysis technique. The data that has been collected is then analyzed by identifying data based on the focus of the problem and the purpose of the study. The results of the study show that the shift in the use of the Bugis Barru dialect in Makassar City has shifted and the speakers are more dominant in using Indonesian than the Bugis Barru dialect.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and explain the form of compliance with the principle of politeness of language of netizens in discourse on social media Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. This type of research is classified as qualitative research with a descriptive method. The main theory used to analyze the research data is the pragmatic theory, Geoffrey Leech on the principle of politeness of language. The data in this study are written data in the form of text (words or sentences) in the comments column of each political news post or upload. The data sources are obtained from political news uploads (political discourse) on social media Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. This study focuses on the form of politeness of language. The data collection techniques used are observation techniques, documentation techniques, and note-taking techniques. Data analysis goes through four stages, namely data collection, data reduction, presentation and analysis of data, and conclusion/verification. The validity of the data is obtained through diligent observation, extended observation, peer examination and discussion, and triangulation. The results of the study indicate that there is compliance with the principle of single language and compliance with the principle of dual language. Compliance with the principles of politeness in a single language can be found in speech on Facebook social media, with one compliance with the principles of language politeness including compliance with the maxims of wisdom/wisdom, there are three (3) in speech data on Facebook social media. Meanwhile, compliance with the principles of dual language politeness can be found in speech on Twitter and Instagram social media with two compliance principles of language politeness at the same time including (1) compliance with the maxim of wisdom/wisdom with compliance with the maxim of agreement/compatibility found in speech data on Twitter social media, (2) compliance with the maxim of wisdom/wisdom with compliance with the maxim of praise found in speech data on Instagram social media.

Abstract

This research was conducted in July-September 2018 on the track of the Ramma valley on Mount Bawakaraeng, Gowa Regency from July to September 2018. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative. Observation using transects made 20 plots measuring 2x2 meters. Species samples in the plot were taken and then photographed and identified. This study aims to determine the types and diversity of cover plants (herbs and shrubs) found in the Ramma Valley climbing route on Mount Bawakaraeng, Gowa Regency. The research found 24 species consisting of 19 herbs and 5 shrubs. The diversity index (H ') of herb plants is 2.451 which is moderate, for shrubs it is 1.379 which is low.

Abstract

The digital era has changed the way students communicate, both in formal situations such as online lectures and informally on social media. This study aims to find out the students' language shift between formal and informal situations and the digital factors that influence it. The method used is a qualitative study with multiple case studies. Data were obtained from observation, in-depth interviews, and analysis of communication documents of 20 students of Makassar State University. The results showed that students often code-switch and mix languages, depending on the social context, the need for quick communication, and the digital platform used. In formal situations, they still use standard language although they sometimes insert digital abbreviations. While in informal situations, the use of emoticons, abbreviations, and local language mixtures are more dominant. These findings emphasize the importance of digital literacy and pragmatic language training in the college curriculum, so that students are able to adjust language as needed.

Abstract

Reading learning in Elementary Schools is an important foundation in developing students' literacy skills. Through reading skills, students are not only able to recognize letters and words, but also understand the contents of the reading as a whole. This study aims to examine strategies, types, and challenges in reading learning, especially advanced reading at the elementary level. The method used is a literature study by analyzing various academic sources such as books, scientific journals, research articles, and education policy documents. The results of the study show that students' reading skills still face various obstacles, especially in terms of reading comprehension and reading speed. The low variety of teaching methods and the lack of interesting learning media are also inhibiting factors. Therefore, innovation is needed in learning approaches that can increase students' motivation and literacy skills in a sustainable manner. This study is expected to be a reference for developing more effective and enjoyable reading learning practices in Elementary Schools.

Abstract

Students' ability in writing rhymes is still lacking. This is mainly due to students' lack of interest in learning. The world of literature for students is still a foreign world and only certain people enter, other problems faced by students include: 1) students find it difficult to issue ideas / ideas that will be put in writing, 2) lack of mastery of vocabulary, 3) difficult to compose sentences in Indonesian that are good and correct. To improve the ability to write poetry, it is necessary to find a solution in the form of a learning method. One of the learning methods that can be applied is the Numbered Heads Together method). In general, Numbered Heads Together is used to involve students in strengthening learning understanding or checking students' understanding of learning material. This study aims to describe the ability to determine rhymes using the Numbered Heads Together Method in Class XSMA Negeri 12 Buru Students. This study was designed using quantitative descriptive methods. Data were collected through research instruments in the form of tests and analyzed using statistical techniques. The results showed that of the 17 research samples who obtained scores of 65 and above were 3 students or 17.6% and the research samples who obtained scores less than 65 were 14 students or 82.3%. Based on the mastery criteria that the research sample is successful if 85% of students get a score of 65 and above, it can be concluded that class X students of SMA Negeri 12 Buru have not been able to determine pantundans using the Numbered Heads Together Method.
