Abstract

In order to participate in the international fuel-efficient vehicle competition, a team from the Mechanical Engineering department of Mataram University has prepared a prototype vehicle. The competition is The Shell Eco-Marathon, held at the International Pertamina Mandalika Circuit in Lombok in July 2023 and attended by several teams from abroad. For this purpose, the team has developed an energy-efficient prototype vehicle using a two-wheeler engine. The team has modified the two-wheeler engine to achieve more fuel-efficient consumption compared to conventional vehicles. The study involves checking the two-wheeler engine's condition, conducting engine startup experiments, and analyzing engine performance. The Mandalika Desantara racing team reduced the piston diameter to minimize the combustion chamber volume. The results of the engine modification on the prototype vehicle show a fuel consumption rate of 71.66 km/l when driving on the Mandalika circuit. However, this figure has not yet reached the desired level of efficiency, considering that the estimated fuel consumption of vehicles with conventional motor engines is around 40-50 km/l.

Abstract

Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat (PKBM) is a social organization that aims as a means of community development. PKBM has various activities in it, one of which is the Business Learning Group (KBU) which is currently not running due to constraints in management. We as a group work together with PKBM in developing KBU activities so that the potential of PKBM community members can be maximized. Groups help in terms of operations, marketing, human resources, and finance. From an operational point of view focused on the snack products produced, in terms of marketing supported for consignment systems and sales with online media, in terms of human resources a management system is made so that it is organized and financially in order to record more details. This facilitator is expected to help the activities at the KBU which lead to the implementation of activities in PKBM in order to help social problems. The resulting product focuses on snacks, especially roll chips and chopsticks that do not require special abilities. HR Management is the main challenge for the group to determine the person in charge of the activities at KBU so that the business can run continuously. Making this management system in the KBU will be the main focus so that the community economy in PKBM can develop.

Abstract

Melanin is the main pigment thfunctions to protect the skin from exposure to ultraviolet light, excessive melanin synthesis can cause skin hyperpigmentation. A. bilimbi and B. macrophylla fruits have bioactive compounds such as phenolics, flavonoids that function as antioxidants and tyrosinase inhibitors. This study aims to formulate a gel preparation of a combination of fruit extracts of A. bilimbi and B. macrophylla, test antioxidant activity using the DPPH method, and test tyrosinase inhibition enzymes. Three formulas were made, namely F0 (Basis), FI (50x extract), and FII (100x extract). Physical evaluation includes organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, adhesion, spreadability, viscosity, viscosity and irritation. Test of antioxidant activity and tyrosinase enzyme inhibition. Then the data were analyzed descriptively and statistically. The results of the evaluation of homogeneous preparations, dispersion, pH, viscosity, mandatory, meet the standards. Adhesion below standard, irritation test (mild irritation). The results of IC50 antioxidants were F0 (2,352 ppm), FI (1,448 ppm), FII (419,74 ppm) and gel brand x (77,429 ppm). The results of the tyrosinase inhibition test were the highest concentration of 10% F0 (7.828%), a concentration of 10% FI (18.245%), a concentration of 10% FII (25.814) kojic acid gel (brand x) as a comparison with a concentration of 10% (51.211%). Abstract

Buta aksara, atau buta huruf, adalah kondisi ketidakmampuan membaca, menulis, dan berhitung yang memengaruhi berbakgai aspek kehidupan seseorang. Di Provinsi Jambi, Indonesia, sekitar 4.62% penduduk usia 15 tahun ke atas mengalami buta aksara, dengan mayoritas berada dalam kelompok usia 45 tahun ke atas. Di Desa Panca Mulya, tercatat 17 warga yang mengalami buta aksara. Program edukasi oleh Tim Pengabdian UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi bertujuan untuk mengatasi masalah ini dengan melaksanakan pelatihan membaca, menulis, dan berhitung, serta sertifikasi halal untuk UMKM lokal. Program ini dilakukan selama tiga minggu dengan dua kali pertemuan setiap minggu, mulai dari pengenalan huruf hingga latihan berhitung. Evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan peserta, dengan program ini diharapkan dapat mengurangi angka buta aksara dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup lansia di desa tersebut.

Abstract

Rainfall from one area to another varies and can occur at any time. This requires a tool that can monitor the rainfall that occurs. One of the automatic rainfall gauges tipping bucket. This tool will be designed based on Arduino Uno ATmega328P and the results will be compared with manual measuring tools. This study uses a quantitative approach and primary data by designing and manufacturing a rainfall sensor tool the tool is applied to obtain rainfall data which will later be compared with manual rainfall data. Light rainfall simulation measurement data has the highest rainfall value of 10.770 mm. For rainfall simulation measurement data of 26.924 mm and heavy rainfall simulation measurement data of 64.618 mm. Comparison of type rainfall measurement data tipping bucket and manual measuring tools are not much different from the rainfall calculator tipping bucket quite accurate. The design of a tipping bucket type rainfall meter by utilizing the Arduino Uno microcontroller connected to the RTC, I2C LCD and sensor reed switch which reads the movement of the tipping bucket so that the sensor works by detecting a magnet that hits the front of the sensor whose results will be displayed on the LCD. The level of accuracy of the tool is quite accurate and rainfall is directly proportional to time.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan data sebagai sarana untuk memahami situasi lingkungan dan kesehatan di suatu wilayah menjadi hal yang penting dalam era informasi saat ini. Dalam konteks ini, peningkatan pemahaman terhadap pengolahan data perlu dilakukan oleh semua kalangan. Di Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir masyarakat perlu mengembangkan pengetahuan tentang analisis dan visualisasi data. Data statistik yang dikeluarkan oleh Badan Pusat Statistik Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir menjadi salah satu sumber informasi yang dapat diakses oleh publik dari tahun ke tahun. Penggunaan visualisasi data, sebagai metode penyampaian informasi yang diajarkan dalam mata pelajaran statistika, menjadi relevan. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan Excel diselenggarakan dengan tujuan memberikan pemahaman tentang penerapan metode statistika dengan Excel dan visualisasinya. Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan bidang yang sangat penting, dan manajemen informasi di SMPN 1 Tembilahan Hulu menggunakan Sistem Informasi Data Pokok Pendidikan Dasar Menengah (Dapodikdasmen) telah diterapkan sejak tahun 2012. Namun, hingga saat ini, Dapodikdasmen di SMPN 1 Tembilahan Hulu belum pernah dievaluasi atau diaudit untuk tata kelola TI-nya. Oleh karena itu, belum dapat dipastikan apakah sistem ini sudah berjalan dengan optimal. Untuk itu, diperlukan audit tata kelola TI terhadap layanan Dapodikdasmen di SMPN 1 Tembilahan Hulu menggunakan kerangka kerja COBIT 5, khususnya pada domain MEA (Monitor, Evaluate, and Assess). Hasil audit menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kapabilitas Dapodikdasmen di SMPN 1 Tembilahan Hulu saat ini berada pada level 1 (Performed Process), yang berarti sistem ini sudah berfungsi dan tujuan TI telah tercapai. Namun, Dapodikdasmen di SMPN 1 Tembilahan Hulu sudah mencapai kondisi yang diharapkan (To Be), yaitu pada level 4 (Predictable Process), dengan kesenjangan (gap) pada level 4.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi pada era globalisasi berpengaruh besar terhadap peningkatan kualitas usaha melalui sistem informasi manajemen (SIM). Manajemen adalah ilmu dan seni dalam mengatur sumber daya secara efektif dan efisien untuk mencapai tujuan tertentu, sedangkan SIM mendukung proses operasi, manajemen, dan evaluasi dalam pengambilan keputusan di berbagai organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan SIM untuk pengelolaan data barang di UD. Ryan Abadi, yang bergerak dalam jual beli kopra, arang, dan kelapa bulat, namun masih menggunakan pendekatan konvensional dalam pengelolaan data. Sistem ini menggunakan metode Pengembangan Model Waterfall, berbasis web dengan PHP menggunakan Framework Codeigniter dan MySQL sebagai database. Hasil pengujian sistem informasi persediaan berbasis web dihasilkan 100% valid yang berarti bahkan aplikasi berhasil dan layak digunakan.

Abstract

The prevalence of infectious diseases is increasing in developing countries such as Indonesia, and they have become a health problem. One infectious disease caused by Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli bacteria is necrotizing fasciitis. The subcutaneous tissues and fascia necrosis characterize necrotizing fasciitis. Antibiotic therapy is one way to prevent the growth and development of bacteria, but continuous use can cause resistance to bacteria. This research aimed to determine the antibacterial effectiveness of red betel leaf extract in cream preparations against the growth activity of Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli bacteria using the ditch plate method. Red betel leaves were extracted using the UAE method (temperature 600 C for 15 minutes), then made into a cream dosage form with a formulation of 20% extract concentration (F1), 40% extract concentration (F2), and 80% extract concentration (F3) then tested evaluation of cream preparations and antibacterial activity test using the ditch plate method. The extraction of red betel leaves used the UAE method in concentrations of 20%(F1), concentrations of 40%(F2), and concentrations of 80% (F3) in cream preparation form. The cream was evaluated, and antibacterial activity was tested using the ditch plate method. The red betel leaf extract cream inhibits Staphylococcus aureus growth by the ditch plate method but does not have antibacterial activity on Escherichia coli.
