Abstract

The aimed of this research is to find out does the use of free writing technique improve students’ writing skill or not. The research conducted at SMPN 1 Kembang Tanjong with experimental research design. The population was all of the eighth grade students with the total number of students were 106. The sample was class VIII 1 as experimental class and VIII 2 as control class. The instrument used in pre-test and post-test was a set of written test. Rubric scoring system by Heaton used to analyze the students writing score and independent T-test used to analyze the data. The result of data analysis showed that in pre-test the students at experimental class got mean score 53,5 while at control class got 52,10. In post-test, the students at experimental class who taught writing by using free writing technique got a mean score 78,08 and at control class students who was not got the treatment as in experimental class only got a mean score 57,70. The result of independent T-test, at pretest t-count ? t-table (0,154 ? 1,685) and P-value ? level of significance (0,879 ? 0,05) it means there were no significantly differences between experimental class and control class at pre-test and at posttest t-count ? t-table (3.845 ? 1,685) and P-value ? level of significance (0,00 ? 0,05) it means teaching writing by using free writing technique improve significantly the students writing skill. So, the hypothesis was accepted. Key Words: Writing, Free Writing, Descriptive Text

Abstract

In this digital era or Industrial 4.0 revolution, technological advances become things that cannot be solved in human life. Teachers must learn better in learning, need to utilize optimal learning resources, this is important, because the effectiveness of learning is also included by the willingness and ability to utilize learning media, such as the web (google class). In this era students are required to have certain skills, besides those educators are also required to have several competencies that must be possessed so that the e-learning program that they run can run well. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah : (1). Untuk mengetahui peran Dinas Pemberdayaan Masyarakat dan Gampong dalam upaya peningkatan Kinerja Aparatur Pemerintah Gampong/ Desa. (2). Untuk mengetahui  dan  menganalisis  faktor  penghambat  yang  di  hadapi  dalam  peningkatan  kinerja Aparatur Pemerintah Gampong.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Untuk memperoleh data penyusun menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah pegawai dilingkungan Dinas Pemberdayaan Masyarakat dan Gampong Kabupaten Pidie. Dalam upaya peningkatan kinerja aparatur pemerintah Gampong DPMG membuat dan melaksanakan beberapa program diantaranya pemberian informasi yakni dengan Pelatihan Gratis dan sebagainya yang berkaitan dengan informasi Pemerintah Gampong, diadakanya pelatihan – pelatihan diantaranya pelatihan Keuchik (Kepala Desa), administrasi Gampong, perangkat Gampong, tata naskah, pembuatan perdes dan lain – lain, setelah berakhirnya pelatihan dilakukan pengawasan dan evaluasi guna melihat sejauh mana perkembangan dan kekurangan, sebagai mediator DPMG juga sebagai wadah pelaksanaan upaya peningkatan kinerja Aparatur Pemerintah Gampong tersebut, serta melengkapi fasilitas pendukung dalam upaya peningkatan Kinerja Aparatur Pemerintah Gampong selain dalam melakukan atau mengadakan pelatihan untuk memperoleh hasil yang lebih maksimal harus dibantu dengan fasilitas – fasilitas pendukung yakni diantaranya perlengkapan sarana kerja, tunjangan – tunjangan dan sebagainya yang bertujuan memotivasi pemerintah Gampong dalam bekerja.Kata Kunci: Analisis Fungsi, Peningkatan, Kinerja, Aparatur

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to find out whether the use of the students who are taught English by using the Students Team Achievement Division and those who are taught English by using other methods is increasing reading skills. The writer used Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) to teach the students. The Design of the research was quantitative research. The instrument used Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) to collect data in this research was a set of tests, which consisted of test that are Pre-test and Post-test. A pre-test was given before the writer treated the students by using techniques, in order to find out the student’s ability in mastering reading skills. Post-test was given after the writer did experimental teaching six times. It was aimed to find out the improvement of the student’s ability in mastering speaking after teaching students with used classroom debate techniques. The result of the data analysis revealed that the experimental class had a total score of 832, whereas the control class had a total score of 173,377. The experimental class had a mean score of 20,133, while the control class had a mean score of 16,76. It was discovered that the experimental class's mean difference score was greater than the control class's (20,133-16,76). The outcome was, on the other hand, 0.99. Because of that, higher than (20,33 16,76). It means, was accepted. And the conclusion indicated that the ability of the students in mastering reading had increased after the writer Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) technique.

Abstract

Permasalahan  anak muncul di berbagai daerah,  seperti kekerasan anak, kejahatan seksual anak, frees sex, narkoba dll. Oleh karena itu pengabdian ini akan menitikberatkan pada permasalahan anak khususnya dalam konteks pendidikan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan selama 2 bulan di desa Pasi Lhok. Adapun mengenai pengabdian ini berupa, pelatihan atau parenting orang tua dan anak, penguatan dan pendampingan terhadap taman belajar dan bermain anak yang dilaksanakan di balai, serta pendampingan terhadap organisasi kepemudaan desa karang taruna guna memberdayakan anak dan remaja di desa Pasi Lhok. Pendampingan terhadap taman belajar anak ini melibatkan kerjsama dengan orang tua dan karang taruna. Dengan memberikan penyuluhan dan parenting terhadap orang tua, maka harapannya orang tua mempunyai waktu luang dan lebih untuk mengontrol anak, sedangkan pelibatan kerjsama karang taruna guna memberdayakan remaja untuk turut serta aktif membangun karakter dan pendidikan desa.Kata Kunci: Pendampingan, Anak, Desa Pasi Lhok

Abstract

Abstrak. Pergeseran dalam pengajaran dari tradisional ke pengajaran dengan pendekatan berbasis online telah menyebabkan perubahan dari pedagogical ke teknologi pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK). Dengan demikian, studi kasus ini bertujuan untuk mengamati dan menteorikan implementasi TPACK oleh seorang guru Bahasa Inggris sebagai Bahasa Asing (EFL) yang bermigrasi dari platform pembelajaran online instan dan komersial ke aplikasi Bot Telegram yang dirancang sendiri untuk tujuan pengajaran. Subjek adalah seorang guru bahasa Inggris dari salah satu SMA unggulan di Sigli, Indonesia. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dengan mengikuti kelas selama satu semester dan melalui wawancara mendalam berdasarkan teori TPACK. Analisis tematik dengan pendekatan induktif diterapkan secara simultan pada kerangka TPACK. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa teknologi, pedagogis, dan pengetahuan konten dari Bot Telegram bergeser, menerapkan, merepresentasikan, dan memodelkan. Empat kesamaan teori TPACK terutama mewakili keberhasilan implementasi aplikasi pengajaran buatan guru menggunakan Bot Telegram . Abstract. The transition from offline to online modes of imparting education has resulted in a transformation from pedagogical to technical pedagogical content knowledge. Traditional teaching methods have been supplanted by these newer modes (TPACK). As a result, the purpose of this case study is to investigate and theorize the application of TPACK by an English as a Foreign Language (EFL) instructor who switched from instant and commercial online learning platforms to a self-designed Telegram Bot application that was used for instructional purposes. An English instructor from one of the most prestigious vocational high schools in Pidie, Indonesia, served as the topic of this article. The TPACK theory was used to guide in-depth interviews, which were used to collect data with participant observation gained through attending a class for an entire semester. The TPACK framework also underwent parallel application of a thematic analysis that took an inductive method. According to the findings, the Telegram Bot possessed technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge that was capable of changing, applying, representing, and modelling. The four commonalities of TPACK theory primarily reflect the effective deployment of teacher-made educational apps through the use of the Telegram Bot.

Abstract

Higher education students who struggle with reading may find some relief via the use of technology, especially new and developing forms of technology. Even though augmented reality (AR) has been used in the classroom with great success to motivate and engage children who are difficult to teach, there hasn't been a lot of research done on how augmented print may help those who have trouble reading. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of augmented reality on perceived motivation for students currently enrolled in higher education, namely their engagement with and understanding of an upgraded design theory book, as well as their perceived motivation to read. This research was conducted using the mix method approach, supported with some different methodologies. The findings reveal that increased support for academic literature enhances motivation, engagement, and confidence in understanding, impacting both struggling and proficient readers. We concluded that students, regardless of their reading level, expressed a willingness to use AR reading assistance for future books. Further research is crucial given the heightened levels of motivation and confidence. This research aligns with technological advancements, and educators can influence the development of augmented reality apps for classroom use. Future studies should focus on students with reading difficulties, exploring the optimal design of AR experiences and learning games to enhance understanding and retention of art history lectures in higher education

Abstract

This article explores the use of digital mind mapping as a comprehensive tool for enhancing English language learning, with a specific focus on improving reading comprehension skills. Digital mind maps provide a visual and interactive approach to organizing and connecting ideas, fostering deeper cognitive engagement with texts. This study synthesizes existing research on the pedagogical benefits of digital mind mapping, highlighting its ability to support learners in identifying main ideas, tracking relationships between concepts, and developing critical thinking. The article also presents practical strategies for integrating digital mind mapping into English language curricula, emphasizing its role in promoting active learning and learner autonomy. Findings suggest that the use of digital mind maps not only improves reading comprehension but also enhances vocabulary retention, engagement, and motivation. The comprehensive approach outlined in this study aims to provide educators with effective methods for incorporating digital tools to support language acquisition in diverse learning environments.

Abstract

The emergence of cultural studies has expanded the scope of understanding and engaging with many cultural phenomena. Language, essential to the concept of culture, has taken on a more significant and purposeful function. Linguistics must adapt to include wider perspectives to align with the greater understanding of culture as the foundation of linguistics. In this scenario, linguistics must rely on the following assumptions: (1) language is not impartial or neutral, (2) language is concerned with the concept of representation, (3) language is intertwined with power dynamics, and (4) language is connected to the act of expressing thoughts and ideas. These points are significant in the advancement of cultural studies

Abstract

Aceh is an Indonesian province characterized by a predominantly Muslim population. Hence, the Islamic comprehension of economic principles, fairness, and profit-sharing systems has significant consequences for the economic progress of the Acehnese population. Research on the use of Islamic tenets in cattle farming companies may significantly benefit the welfare of the Acehnese people in this particular setting. Mawah is a commercial practice rooted in traditional conventions and local village knowledge. It involves verbal agreements between cattle owners and keepers for profit-sharing in cow husbandry. This research examines the "Mawah" profit-sharing mechanism in cattle farming firms in Pidie Regency from an Islamic viewpoint. This is an empirical investigation conducted in a natural setting. The primary issues are: 1). What is the societal impact of implementing a profit-sharing system in cattle farming businesses? 2). What is the assessment of the Islamic Economic Review about the profit-sharing model in cattle farming firms in Pidie Regency? The study used a descriptive qualitative research approach, using data gathering methods such as observation, interviews, and recording. The strategies used for data analysis include data reduction, data presentation, and data verification.
