Abstract

Recycled congklak is a game that is closely related to mathematics, especially probability. The learning model applied is Quantum Learning in the process of learning mathematics. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of Quantum Learning in improving students' combinatorial ability while providing additional benefits in understanding sustainability through the use of recycled congklak game. The use of experimental research method where students are divided into two classes, namely experimental class and control class. The research sample was students of SMPIT Ar-Rahman Islamic School grade IX. The data analysis process used the SPSS application by conducting various pre-requisite analysis tests and the Mann-Whitney Test and comparing the average N gain value of each class. Recycled congklak learning is very helpful for students in understanding mathematical concepts, especially in probability material and has an effect on students' combinatoric abilities. The application of Quantum Learning implemented in the classroom makes students more active and responsive in listening to learning and guidance.  Keywords: recycled congklak, combinatorics skills, probability, quantum learning.

Abstract

This research aims to describe students abstract thinking abilities in the probability theory course in terms of mathematical disposition. The research method used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The research subjects were 5th-semester students who took probability theory courses. Determination of subjects using purposive sampling techniques. Instruments used include test results of mathematical abstract thinking abilities, disposition questionnaires, interview guidelines, and researchers as the key instruments. Analysis data using the Miles model and Huberman includes data reduction, display data and conclusion drawing/verification. The research results are, Subject 1 (S1) is in the high mathematical disposition category, fulfills three indicators of abstract thinking abilities, namely transforming problems into symbols, manipulation process of abstract mathematical objects, and the formation of mathematical concepts related to other concepts. Subject 2 (S2) is in the medium mathematical disposition category, fulfilling two indicators of abstract thinking abilities, namely transforming problems into symbols and the manipulation process of abstract mathematical objects, the formation of mathematical concepts related to other concepts. Subject 3 (S3) is in the low mathematical disposition category, it only fulfills one indicator of the abstract thinking abilities, namely transforming problems into symbols.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of learning discipline on the conceptual understanding of mathematics among tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 9 Depok. The research used a quantitative approach with a correlational survey method. Instruments included a learning discipline questionnaire and a mathematics conceptual understanding test. A sample of 31 students was selected using simple random sampling. Data analysis results showed a positive and significant influence between learning discipline and conceptual understanding, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.274. This indicates that 27.4% of the variation in mathematics conceptual understanding can be explained by learning discipline. The study concludes that improving learning discipline can be an effective strategy to enhance students’ understanding of mathematical concept.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kedisiplinan belajar terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 9 Depok. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei korelasional. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket kedisiplinan belajar dan tes pemahaman konsep matematika. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 31 siswa yang dipilih melalui teknik simple random sampling. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara kedisiplinan belajar dan pemahaman konsep matematika, dengan nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,274. Artinya, 27,4% variasi dalam pemahaman konsep matematika dapat dijelaskan oleh kedisiplinan belajar. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa peningkatan kedisiplinan belajar dapat menjadi strategi efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa

Abstract

This study aims to explore mathematical concepts embedded in the traditional musical instruments of Lenong Betawi at Sanggar Sinar Fajar in Depok. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with an ethnographic approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with cultural figures and artists, and visual documentation. The findings reveal that Lenong Betawi musical instruments contain mathematical elements such as plane geometry (squares, trapezoids, and circles), solid geometry (cylinders and hemispheres), as well as rhythmic patterns, symmetry, and proportional measurements related to sound frequency. These findings demonstrate a strong connection between culture and mathematics in everyday life, particularly within the Betawi local context. This study contributes to the development of contextual mathematics learning through ethnomathematical approaches and promotes cultural preservation through scientific inquiry. Therefore, traditional culture can serve as an effective medium for understanding mathematical concepts in a more meaningful and enjoyable way.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to know the effect of self-efficacy toward mathematic achievement. The research was carried out in April 2024 with sample as many as 70 students which was determined by using simple random sampling technique. Data was obtained through student mathematics learning outcome test instruments and self-efficacy questionnaire instruments. The instrument has been tested for validity and reliability so obtained is valid and reliable. Testing requirements analysis using a normality test with Lilliefors retrieved that students learn math results and self-efficacy Gaussian. After the data Gaussian regression linearity test and do significance of regression obtained that the results of learning math students and self-efficacy of significant regression and linear regression. Based on data calculation of the research results, a significance value result is 0.005 (Sig. < 0.05) which means ????0 rejected, so that the results of this research it can be concluded that there is a relation of self-efficacy with the results of learning math students. The determination coefficient (R-Square) obtained 0,108 and Y ̂= 43,543 + 0,306 X it means self-efficacy give influence on the result of learning math students amounted 11%. But there are other factors that contribute to student learning math results amounted to 89%. Keywords: Self-Efficacy, Mathematics Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Background: Kemampuan guru dalam mengikuti perkembangan teknologi merupakan urgensi dalam kegiatan ini, yaitu: 1) secara content knowledge guru kesulitan dalam menyajikan pembelajaran secara kontekstual yang sejalan dengan esensi dari Kurikulum Merdeka; 2) Pemahaman guru dalam merancang media pembelajaran inovatif masih kurang bervariasi. Kegiatan PkM ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan serta pendampingan kepada guru di MGMP Matematika Komisariat Cisarua dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran inovatif bermuatan etnomatematika berbasis digital, yaitu flipper book berbasis Google Sites. Metode: Kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh 30 guru matematika dari MGMP Matematika Komisariat Cianjur ini dilakukan melalui pendekatan etnomatematika yang terbagi menjadi tiga tahap, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Hasil: Aspek pengetahuan guru terkait etnomatematika dan media pembelajaran semakin inovatif. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan ini sangat mendukung peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam merancang dan menyusun bahan ajar digital berbasis etnomatematika dalam pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

Ethnomathematics has emerged as one such strategy, offering an approach that connects mathematical concepts with cultural practices, traditions, and local wisdom. This study investigates teachers’ and students’ perceptions of using the traditional games engklek and congklak in mathematics learning at MTsN 2 Kota Tangerang. The research employed a qualitative exploratory survey involving five mathematics teachers and sixty students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using open-ended questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and documentation, and analyzed through thematic analysis. The results show that both teachers and students perceive traditional games as effective tools for supporting mathematical understanding. Engklek helps students visualize geometric concepts such as lines, angles, and shapes, while congklak strengthens number sense, arithmetic operations, and strategic thinking. Students reported higher motivation, enjoyment, and clarity during game-based learning activities. Teachers also noted that traditional games make abstract concepts easier to understand and more connected to students’ cultural experiences. Despite these benefits, challenges were identified, including limited structured teaching materials and the need for teacher training. Overall, the integration of ethnomathematics through traditional games aligns with the goals of the Merdeka Curriculum and offers a practical approach to making mathematics more engaging and culturally relevant.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir visual siswa pada materi geometri di tingkat SMP masih rendah, didukung oleh temuan observasi dan wawancara di SMP Sumber Daya Bekasi yang menunjukkan pembelajaran masih bersifat konvensional dengan metode ceramah, penggunaan alat peraga sederhana, dan minimnya pemanfaatan media digital interaktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan menguji efektivitas video interaktif berbasis H5P bermuatan etnomatematika Gebok Bola Geometri (GEBOGI) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir visual siswa pada materi geometri. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development(R&D) dengan model ADDIE, melibatkan 66 siswa kelas VIII yang terbagi dalam kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Data primer dikumpulkan melalui tes kemampuan berpikir visual (pre-test dan post-test), angket respon siswa, dan lembar validasi ahli, lalu dianalisis dengan uji N-Gain Score dan Paired Sample T-Test. Hasil validasi ahli menunjukkan bahwa media GEBOGI dinyatakan sangat layak dengan rata-rata skor 87%. Hasil uji N-Gain membuktikan terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir visual pada kelas eksperimen. Respon siswa terhadap media sangat positif dengan skor rata-rata 3,74. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa video interaktif GEBOGI efektif meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir visual siswa dan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran inovatif yang memadukan teknologi interaktif dengan kearifan budaya lokal. Kata kunci: berpikir visual, video interaktif H5P, bola gebok betawi, ADDIE, pembelajaran geometri. Abstract: Students' visual thinking skills in geometry at the junior high school level are still low, supported by findings from observations and interviews at Sumber Daya Bekasi Junior High School, which show that learning is still conventional in nature, with lecture methods, the use of simple teaching aids, and minimal use of interactive digital media. This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of H5P-based interactive videos containing ethnomathematics Gebok Bola Geometri (GEBOGI) to improve students' visual thinking skills in geometry. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, involving 66 eighth-grade students divided into experimental and control classes. Primary data were collected through visual thinking ability tests (pre-test and post-test), student response questionnaires, and expert validation sheets, then analyzed using the N-Gain Score and Paired Sample T-Test. The expert validation results showed that the GEBOGI media was declared very feasible with an average score of 87%. The N-Gain test results proved that there was an increase in visual thinking skills in the experimental class. Student responses to the media were very positive with an average score of 3.74. It can be concluded that the GEBOGI interactive video is effective in improving students' visual thinking skills and is feasible for use as an innovative learning medium that combines interactive technology with local cultural wisdom. Keywords: visual thinking, H5P interactive video, bola gebok betawi, ADDIE, geometry learning.

Abstract

Adolescent Counseling Education at SMK Negeri 4 Pandeglang Using the Mathematics of Love Languages Approach. Creating a supportive learning environment, where understanding students' communication styles and emotional needs can enhance the overall effectiveness of the teachinglearning process, is crucial and this extends beyond the realm of counseling. The community service program titled Adolescent Counseling Education at SMK Negeri 4 Pandeglang Using the Mathematics of Love Languagesaims to provide an innovative approach to building more positive communication and relationships between teachers and students. Through training comprising interactive workshops, simple numerical simulations based on love languages theory, and case discussions, teachers from various subjects were guided to map and understand their students' interpersonal characteristics. The evaluation results indicate the program's success, with highly positive feedback from participants. Specifically, 75% of teachers found the material easy to understand, 73.5% rated it as engaging and applicable, and 80.9% felt the facilitation team delivered the content with exceptional clarity. More importantly, 83.8% of participants acknowledged a significant increase in their understanding of teacher-student dynamics, and 82.4% felt motivated to apply these concepts in their daily interactions within the classroom and school environment. In conclusion, this training successfully introduced a practical and well-received framework, the implications of which can strengthen emotional bonds within the school community and, ultimately, support the achievement of educational goals more holistically.
