Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of capability of using E-Learning at Universal University. In this study, the measurement of capability level uses the COBIT 5 framework which is devoted to the DSS05 (Manage Security Services) process. The data from this study were obtained from observations and interviews. The results show that the capability level in the DSS05 (Manage Security Services) process reached level 1 with a rating level of Largely achieved (57.8%). After knowing the level of capability at the E-Learning level,recommendations for improvement are made based on the acquisition of each value. The recommendations for improvement are the creation of SOPs related to E-Learning security at Universal University, the establishment of information technology asset inventory management, and the procurement of intrusion detection tools.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital di kalangan siswa sekolah menengah atas (SMA) dengan fokus pada pengenalan dan pencegahan cyberbullying. Cyberbullying, sebagai bentuk perundungan digital, semakin marak di kalangan remaja dan dapat menimbulkan dampak psikologis yang serius. Melalui kegiatan ini, siswa diberi pemahaman mengenai definisi cyberbullying, perbedaannya dengan cyberharassment, serta dampak negatif yang ditimbulkan. Selain itu, siswa juga diberi informasi tentang statistik cyberbullying di Indonesia dan pentingnya peran sekolah dalam mencegahnya. Dalam kegiatan ini, diperkenalkan berbagai langkah pencegahan yang dapat dilakukan di lingkungan sekolah, termasuk kebijakan penggunaan teknologi yang bijak dan pelatihan mengenai hak dan kewajiban di dunia maya. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan metode sosialisasi yang dilaksanakan oleh empat orang narasumber kepada sekitar 35 peserta didik pada salah satu Sekolah Menengah Atas di Kota Batam. Hasil pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa kesadaran siswa meningkat terkait mengenai pentingnya etika digital dan memberikan dampak positif dalam menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang aman dan bebas dari perundungan digital.

Abstract

Most Chinese-heritage parents will teach their children Mandarin as early as possible. Parents will do various things such as providing additional Mandarin tutoring or enrolling their children in schools that teach Mandarin. Unfortunately, many children become bored and unwilling to learn Mandarin because Mandarin has a complex language structure, starting from writing, pronunciation, and grammar. This study aims to develop a Mandarin language learning application based on augmented reality that incorporates gamification elements to increase children's learning motivation. The development method used is waterfall. The results of this study show that with the existence of a gamified Mandarin language learning application based on augmented reality, Mandarin learning becomes more tangible, thus it is expected to facilitate increasing children's motivation to learn Mandarin.
