Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of halal awareness, lifestyle, and halal literacy on the interest in halal certification in culinary MSMEs in Medan Johor District. The method used is a descriptive quantitative approach with a sample of 255 MSMEs. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS version 25. The results showed that lifestyle and halal literacy have a positive and significant influence on the interest in halal certification, while halal awareness does not have a considerable effect. Regression tests show that lifestyle contributes 38.9% and halal literacy 38.1% to the interest in halal certification. Simultaneously, halal awareness, lifestyle, and halal literacy affect the interest in halal certification with an Adjusted R Square value of 44.3%, while other factors influence 55.7%. These findings support the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), where lifestyle reflects subjective norms and halal literacy increases behavioral control in the certification process. With the increasing trend of halal lifestyle, MSME actors need to adapt to market demand and increase halal literacy to support halal certification.

Abstract

Human fallibility to phishing is not the byproduct of ignorance anymore, but the one kept alive by the very structure of digital existence. The aesthetic of deception finds a fertile ground in the repetitiveness of trust, the aesthetic of familiarity, and fluid choreography of the communication process that occurs via a platform. The current paper investigates the effect that can be observed in students of Indonesian universities who, due to their exposure to mobile banking and messaging culture, do not regard phishing as a perversion but as something that may appear to be reality. The research, which is based on in-depth interviews, baffles the conclusion that deception is not triumphing with tricky technical challenges rather with social engineering that hopscotches through interpersonal pathways, uses institutional jargon, and play with emotional instinct. Subjects were not blind to the danger. They are weak, instead, because of the same set of circumstances that conditions them to act quickly, to accept as true signals that are visually consistent, and to place the value of the urgent ahead of checking. This evidence means that the issue is not the absence of awareness but the weakness of awareness in the face of pressure. Therefore, there is a need to change the way the digital vulnerability is thought of. Security should not be a personal issue that creates a vacuum out of a context. Rather, it needs to be regarded as a social/infrastructural question, one that is informed by design, by platform logic, by the relational predilections by which we characterize our everyday digital practice.

Abstract

Indonesia's economic growth is primarily driven by the development of digital technology that has transformed various aspects of life, including banking, transportation, and finance. Fintech, one of the key aspects of this development, includes various banking services such as mobile banking, internet banking, SMS banking, QR Codes, e-money, and ATMs. The purpose of this research is to determine the level of development and understanding of fintech among the public, as well as to assess the public's interest in using fintech products themselves. The research method used in this study is quantitative. The government has emphasized the importance of fintech in the Islamic world, particularly in Indonesia, due to concerns regarding investor trust, lack of knowledge about fintech, and the differences between traditional and Islamic fintech. The government allocates five points for fintech startups, where 81.75 percent of the public understands fintech and uses it without fear.
