Abstract

Environmental education exists as a solution to improving the intelligence of early childhood naturalists, but its implementation is often forgotten or only as a hidden curriculum. The purpose of this study is to provide information related to the implementation of environmental education for early childhood to improve the intelligence of early childhood naturalists. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method presented in the form of an in-depth literature review. Literature study efforts are carried out by reading, observing, recognizing, and describing to analyze reading material in the form of related literature as a reference source. The result of this study is that the use of instructional strategies for gardening activities and creative game-based environmental learning can be considered to improve the intelligence of early childhood naturalists. In addition, it was also found that the material often used by educators to improve naturalist intelligence is the introduction of animals and plants. The trend of measuring the intelligence of early childhood naturalists uses many observation sheets, but it is also recommended to use research instruments that have been standardized or published in reputable scientific articles to obtain valid and reliable data. Abstract

Based on the facts of environmental education in Finland and China, it can be seen that the development of environmental education curriculum in Finland and China can both be said to be very advanced. The government strongly supports environmental education programs in Finland, the goal is to equip Finnish people with knowledge of environmental issues and be able to become citizens who have netizenship behavior towards the environment and responsible environmental behavior. While the Chinese government supports the field of environmental education and sustainable development education so that the Chinese population can practice environmental protection and be more aware of the surrounding environment that has been degraded. Abstract

Climate change disasters as a result of environmental degradation have become a threat to every component of the Earth's environment. These disasters are strongly suspected to be caused by harmful behaviors toward the environment, including among student groups. Therefore, efforts are needed to promote and empower pro-environmental behavior (PEB) in society. The purpose of this study is to provide information and confirm pro-environmental behavior (PEB) based on antecedent factors of environmental instructional leadership (EIL) and environmental personality traits (EPT), mediated by the New Environmental Paradigm (NEP). A quantitative research method with a causal study approach was carried out involving 47 Environmental Health students who selected using multistage random sampling. Four research instruments were used, consisting of statements adapted from previous research. Data analysis techniques employed were path analysis. The results confirmed that EIL had a direct effect on NEP and PEB, but the effect was not significant. Meanwhile, EPT had a very significant direct effect on NEP and PEB. The NEP variable was found to be a good mediator in bridging the influence of EIL and EPT on PEB. If pro-environmental behavior among students is to improve and its variability minimized, these antecedent factors can be empowered through environmental education and learning strategies, prioritizing NEP based on empirical findings.

Abstract
