Abstract

Background Computers or laptops are needed for learning and working media for young children of productive age with a university-level education to balance their mobility. However, long-term use of a computer or laptop can cause eye problems, including Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS). This study aims to determine the factors associated with Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) complaints in Informatics Engineering students at the University of Muhammadiyah Prof. DR. HAMKA South Jakarta in 2022. Methods This research is a quantitative study with a Cross-Sectional study design. The sampling technique uses the Quota Sampling method with 150 respondents. Data collection was carried out using an online questionnaire with google forms. The analysis used is univariate analysis and bivariate analysis. Results The results showed that respondents with positive CVS symptoms (70.7%) with the most complaints were tired and strained eyes (77.3%). The Chi-square test between risk factors and CVS obtained results, gender (p = 0.725), the use of glasses (p = 0.011), duration of exposure to computer or laptop screens (p < 0.0001), taking eyes breaks (p = 0.002), the distance between eyes and computer or laptop screen (p = 0.049), and body position when using a computer or laptop (p = 0.006). Conclusions The significantly related risk factors to CVS were the use of glasses, duration of exposure to computer or laptop screens, taking eye breaks, the distance between eyes and computer or laptop screen, and body position when using a computer or laptop. At the same time, gender is not associated with CVS complaints.

Abstract

Background The problem of anemia still exists today, although there have been many treatments for adolescent anemia. This study aimed to determine the factors associated with the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls at SMPN 17 Tangerang in 2022. Methods This study uses a cross-sectional design. The sample is 150 students with Quota Sampling. Collecting data using a questionnaire and direct measurements on hemoglobin levels, weight, and height. The instruments used were filling forms for hemoglobin levels, weight, and height and questionnaires for the variables of knowledge, mother's education, parents' income, menstrual patterns, eating patterns, and consumption of blood-added tablets (TTD). The analysis in this study is univariate and bivariate (Chi-square). Results The results of the univariate analysis showed anemia (40%), poor knowledge (56.0%), high maternal education (74.7%), high parental income (59.3%), abnormal menstrual pattern (61.3% ), poor diet (73.3%), normal nutritional status (70.7%), consumption of Blood Supplementary Tablets (TTD) was not good (97.3%). The results of the bivariate analysis obtained four variables related to the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls at SMPN 17 Tangerang, namely the variables of knowledge (p=0,048), mother's education (p=0.042), parents' income (p=0.038), dietary habit (p=0.038). However, there were unrelated ones, namely menstrual patterns, nutritional status, and consumption of blood-added tablets. Conclusions Variables related to the incidence of anemia were knowledge, the mother's education, the parent's income, and eating patterns (dietary habits).

Abstract

Health promotion is not only for pregnant women and at 1000 HPK and in the toddler years, but we prepare it from the teenage years considering in the previous discussion that the number of early marriages is increasing. The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of balanced nutrition counseling media on the knowledge, desires, and attitudes of adolescents at the La Tansa 2 Islamic boarding school in Rangkasbitung, Lebak, Banten in 2022. The population in this study were grade 1 junior high school students at Pondok Pesantren La Tansa Mashiro 2 in the experimental group 1, experimental group 2, and experimental group 3. The method in this study was an experiment, Quasi Experimental Design, with a Tree Group Pre-Test Post-Test design for each group. The test used is the Dependent sample T-Test Wil Coxon Two samples are related and the Independent sample T-Test Kruskal Wallis test > 3 groups are not related. The results of the study showed that there was no differences in knowledge about the message of balanced nutrition among teenagers at the La Tansa 2 Islamic boarding school, which was conducted in the animated video group, video demonstration group, and conventional media group. In conclusion, all media in this research are good and can be used to increase knowledge, attitudes and desires about balanced nutrition in grade 1 junior high school students at the La Tansa 2 Rangkasbitung-Lebak-Banten Islamic Boarding School.

Abstract

Konsumsi Sugar Sweetened Beverages (SSBs) pada remaja semakin meningkat dan menjadi perhatian global karena berdampak pada kesehatan, termasuk obesitas, diabetes melitus, dan karies gigi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui tingkat konsumsi SSBs serta menganalisis faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan konsumsi SSBs pada siswa/i SMAN 4 Tambun Selatan Jawa Barat tahun 2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif dengan studi cross-sectional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 242 siswa kelas X dan XI yang dipilih melalui teknik quota sampling. Data primer dikumpulkan menggunakan Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) dan kuesioner tertutup. Analisis dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat dengan uji Chi-Square (p=0,05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 53,3% siswa memiliki konsumsi SSBs kategori tinggi. Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara pengetahuan (p=0,007; PR=1,418), ketersediaan SSBs di sekolah (p=0,001; PR=2,078), ketersediaan di rumah (p=0,001; PR=1,690), teman sebaya (p=0,001; PR=2,093), dan paparan iklan/media (p=0,001; PR=2,178) dengan konsumsi SSBs. Sebaliknya, tidak ditemukan hubungan antara jenis kelamin (p=0,926), konsumsi fast food (p=0,124), dan uang saku (p=0,127). Disimpulkan bahwa konsumsi SSBs pada remaja dipengaruhi oleh faktor pengetahuan, lingkungan sekolah dan rumah, pengaruh teman sebaya, serta paparan media. Sementara itu, jenis kelamin, fast food, dan uang saku tidak terbukti berhubungan dengan konsumsi SSBs.
