Abstract

This activity aims to (1) increase insight and knowledge about health for the elderly, especially about diseases that are often suffered by the elderly, namely cholesterol, uric acid, and blood sugar; (2) conduct health checks for the elderly, namely cholesterol, uric acid, and blood sugar; and (3) increase the capacity of driving team of the Family Empowerment and Welfare (Pemberdayaan dan Kesejahteraan Keluarga/PKK) and cadres of Integrated Service Post () in providing basic health service assistance for the elderly, Pos Pelayanan Terpadu/Posyandu especially in the use of manual health check tools (cholesterol, uric acid, and blood sugar). The implementation methods include outreach, health education, training facilitation, health checks, and monitoring and evaluation. The activities implemented included health checks for the elderly, which included outreach, training, and health checks to foster understanding and awareness of the importance of health and a healthy lifestyle. This results of activity are increase in understanding and awareness among driving team of PKK and caders of Posyandu about the importance of health, especially for the elderly. However, regular and ongoing exercise activities for the elderly are still needed as an integrated part of elderly health care.

Abstract

Abstract. This research attempts to explore students' perceptions about continuing their studies at university. As well as understanding why they continue their studies and why they choose a particular study program. This study has used a qualitative method for the purpose of deepening the perceptions conveyed by the respondents of this study. This study has interviewed a total of 15 students from one of the IPTA in Malaysia, thematic analysis has been used in the data analysis. The results of the study found that many students consider studying at university as a place to develop their minds and personalities. In addition, the findings of the study also found that students gain specialized knowledge especially in the field or program they choose. Universities must also provide a conducive environment and ensure development especially for academic staff to facilitate student learning. The findings of the study also found that students enter university for various reasons, such as pursuing interests or worrying about their future jobs. While other respondents stated that they entered the university to meet the demands of their families or to follow their friends. Finally, respondents chose a university based on a particular program because they found it easy or because it was the only option available to them. Although most of the respondents are more focused on self-improvement, most of those who come to university are based on their own future and limited options.Keywords: Self determination, Planned behavior, Qualitative Method, University Student, Higher Education in Malaysia. Abstrak. Penelitian ini coba untuk mengeksplorasi persepsi mahasiswa tentang melanjutkan studi di universitas. Serta memahami alasan mereka melanjutkan studi dan alasan memilih program studi tertentu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan tujuan untuk memperdalam persepsi yang disampaikan oleh responden penelitian ini. Penelitian ini telah mewawancarai total 15 mahasiswa salah satu IPTA di Malaysia, analisis tematik digunakan dalam analisis data. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa banyak mahasiswa yang menganggap kuliah di universitas sebagai tempat untuk mengembangkan pikiran dan kepribadiannya. Selain itu, temuan penelitian juga menemukan bahwa mahasiswa memperoleh pengetahuan khusus terutama pada bidang atau program yang mereka pilih. Perguruan tinggi juga harus menyediakan lingkungan yang kondusif dan menjamin pengembangan khususnya bagi tenaga akademik untuk memfasilitasi pembelajaran mahasiswa. Temuan penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa mahasiswa masuk universitas karena berbagai alasan, seperti mengejar minat atau khawatir akan pekerjaan masa depan mereka. Sedangkan responden lainnya menyatakan masuk perguruan tinggi karena memenuhi tuntutan keluarga atau mengikuti teman-temannya. Terakhir, responden memilih universitas berdasarkan program tertentu karena mereka merasa mudah atau karena itu adalah satu-satunya pilihan yang tersedia bagi mereka. Meskipun sebagian besar responden lebih fokus pada pengembangan diri, sebagian besar dari mereka yang masuk universitas didasarkan pada masa depan mereka sendiri dan pilihan yang terbatas.Kata Kunci: Determinasi diri, perilaku terencana, studi kualitatif, mahasiswa, perguruan tinggi Malaysia.

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study are to describe the elements that influence local culture and local culture that supports community development at Banceuy, Sanca Village, Ciater District, Subang Regency, West Java Province. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method with a case study approach. Primary data collection techniques include interviews, observation, document study and focus group discussions. Meanwhile, secondary data sources were obtained through searching various references such as books and journals. The informant selection technique was carried out through purposive sampling. The validity of the data using triangulation of sources and data analysis techniques through data reduction, data display and conclusion/verification. In detail, data analysis uses the coding manual consists of open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The main factors influencing local culture at Banceuy, Sanca Village, Ciater District, Subang Regency, West Java Province are geography, natural charm, history, and economy. Meanwhile, the local culture for community development are ritual, art, environmental tourism, mutual cooperation, and cultural tourism. Local culture can be a driving force in community development and should be considered in making development policies in the region. Local culture is a community cultural heritage that can support the community's economy. Local culture can be used as a participatory approach in community development. Keywords: Model, local cultur, community development. Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan unsur-unsur yang mempengaruhi budaya lokal dan mendeskripsikan budaya lokal yang mendukung pengembangan masyarakat di Banceuy, Desa Sanca, Kecamatan Ciater, Kabupaten Subang, Provinsi Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data primer meliputi wawancara, observasi, studi dokumen dan diskusi kelompok terarah. Sementara, sumber data sekunder diperoleh dengan mencari berbagai referensi seperti buku dan jurnal. Teknik pemilihan informan dilakukan melalui purposive sampling. Validitas datas menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teknik analisis data melalui reduksi data, display data dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Secara rinci, analisis data menggunakan koding secara manual, yaitu open coding, axial coding dan selective coding. Faktor utama yang mempengaruhi budaya lokal di Banceuy, Desa Sanca, Kecamatan Ciater, Kabupaten Subang, Provinsi Jawa Barat adalah geografi, pesona alam, sejarah dan ekonomi. Sementara, budaya lokal untuk pengembangan masyarakat adalah ritual, kesenian, wisata lingkungan, gotong-royong dan wisata budaya. Budaya lokal dapat menjadi pendorong dalam pengembangan masyarakat dan hendaknya menjadi pertimbangan dalam pembuatan kebijakan pembangunan di daerah. Budaya lokal merupakan warisan budaya masyarakat yang dapat menunjang ekonomi masyarakat. Budaya lokal dapat digunakan sebagai pendekatan partisipatif dalam pengembangan masyarakat. Kata kunci: model, budaya lokal, pengembangan masyarakat.

Abstract

This journal discusses about the influence of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) on education in Indonesia. The use of ICT in education has been evolved and  it is used as a tool to enhance the quality of education and opening access for the public. However, the use of ICT also has both positive and negative impacts that need to be considered. This research indicates that ICT has a significant influence in education, enabling easy and fast access to various types of information from around the world, facilitating communication among individuals, fostering innovation and research ideas, and changing the way we interact with others worldwide. However, the use of ICT also has negative effects such as internet misuse and gadget addiction. To maximize the use of ICT in education, cooperation between the government, schools, and the community is essential. Fast and affordable internet access must be ensured, and an optimal curriculum that incorporates ICT usage needs to be developed. Training on ICT usage in teaching should also be provided to teachers and lecturers, while supervision of ICT usage in the school or campus environment needs to be enhanched. Keywords: Influence, Technology of Information, Education.Top of Form  AbstrakJurnal ini membahas pengaruh Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) terhadap pendidikan di Indonesia. Penggunaan TIK dalam pendidikan telah berkembang pesat dan digunakan sebagai alat untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dan memperluas akses bagi masyarakat. Namun, penggunaan TIK juga memiliki dampak positif dan negatif yang perlu dipertimbangkan. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa TIK memiliki pengaruh signifikan pada pendidikan, memungkinkan akses mudah dan cepat ke berbagai jenis informasi dari seluruh dunia, memfasilitasi komunikasi antar individu, mendorong inovasi dan ide penelitian, dan mengubah cara kita berinteraksi dengan orang lain di seluruh dunia. Namun, penggunaan TIK juga memiliki dampak negatif seperti penyalahgunaan internet dan kecanduan gadget. Untuk memaksimalkan penggunaan TIK dalam pendidikan, diperlukan kerja sama antara pemerintah, sekolah, dan masyarakat. Akses internet yang cepat dan terjangkau harus dijamin, dan kurikulum yang optimal yang mencakup penggunaan TIK perlu dikembangkan. Pelatihan tentang penggunaan TIK dalam pembelajaran juga perlu diberikan kepada guru dan dosen, sementara pengawasan penggunaan TIK dalam lingkungan sekolah atau kampus perlu ditingkatkan.
