Abstract

In Indonesia, a country with a significant mining industry and a dynamic stock exchange, transfer pricing decisions among mining companies have become a subject of interest. These decisions involve determining the prices at which related entities within the same multinational corporation trade with each other. The complexity arises from the potential discrepancies between market prices and the prices set for intra-company transactions. This study aims to investigate the impact of Tax Burden, Foreign Ownership, Intangible Assets, and Bonus Mechanism on Transfer Pricing Decisions among Indonesian mining firms listed on the Stock Exchange from 2017 to 2021. Using purposive sampling, six mining companies were selected as the research sample. Employing Panel Data Regression Analysis via Eviews 9 software at a 5% significance level, the study finds that collectively, the independent variables significantly influence companies' choices for transfer pricing, as indicated by the F-test (F-statistic value = 13.07910, F-table value = 2.759). Regarding individual variables, Tax Burden lacks significant influence (p-value = 0.3819), while Foreign Ownership negatively impacts transfer pricing decisions (p-value = 0.002, t-statistic = -3.503829). Intangible Assets (p-value = 0.8969) and Bonus Mechanism (p-value = 0.6290) also do not significantly influence transfer pricing. The study concludes that investors should cautiously analyze company policies due to varied motivations for transfer pricing, and recommends government review of policies to curb detrimental transfer pricing practices. The limited number of multinational mining companies and scarce information on their transfer pricing practices are study limitations.

Abstract

Stress management in the Correctional Institution (Lapas) environment is a major challenge, especially for drug case inmates who face psychological pressure due to loss of freedom, separation from family, and anxiety related to social relationships. This study aims to explore the application of Reality Theory with the WDEP (Wants, Doing, Evaluation, Planning) technique in helping inmates manage their stress and anxiety. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the main subject being an inmate at Banyuwangi Class IIA Prison who experiences deep anxiety related to his relationship with his child. The results of the study showed that the WDEP technique was effective in helping subjects identify their deepest desires, evaluate actions that have been taken so far, and design concrete steps to achieve better life goals. The data in this study reported a significant decrease in anxiety levels after several counseling sessions, improved sleep quality, and better involvement in spiritual activities such as reading the Qur'an and dhikr. This technique also helped subjects prepare themselves to face difficult conversations with their children honestly and openly. This study concludes that the application of Reality Theory with the WDEP technique is not only effective in reducing stress and anxiety, but also has a positive impact on the psychological well-being and readiness for social reintegration of inmates. This approach is recommended to be integrated into the coaching program in prisons to support a more holistic rehabilitation process

Abstract

This service is designed to explore the effectiveness of the Achievement Motivation Seminar in enhancing students' enthusiasm and readiness to face academic challenges. The main focus of this service is to analyze the impact of the Achievement Motivation Seminar on the development of students' abilities in setting goals, planning their next steps, and enhancing their emotional resilience. The subjects of this research are 65 fifth and sixth-grade students who are actively involved in the Seminar process. The method used in this service is Participatory Action Research (PAR), with an approach of direct observation, in-depth interviews, and data analysis. The results of the service show a significant improvement in students who attended the achievement motivation seminar, which can be seen before and after the seminar was held. To achieve optimal results, there needs to be a relationship between the guidance counselor and subject teachers who consistently provide good and creative guidance and teaching in the classroom. Therefore, for future community service research, it can be expanded and creatively thought out to provide achievement motivation so that students can truly implement it.

Abstract

Unstable food security can cause serious psychological impacts such as anxiety and stress, which affect people's mental health. This study aims to examine how food security affects individuals' psychological conditions and coping strategies used in dealing with food uncertainty. A qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach was used, involving in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation of participants experiencing food uncertainty. The results showed that food uncertainty triggers anxiety and stress, but individuals develop adaptive coping strategies such as food diversification and social support to reduce psychological stress. In addition, the use of an interactive approach in education has been shown to be effective in reducing anxiety and increasing motivation. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating psychological aspects in food security programs to improve the mental and physical well-being of the community as a whole.

Abstract

Indonesia, as the country with the largest Muslim population in the world, places great importance on the need for halal products, particularly in food and beverage consumption. The halal label is now seen not only as a religious requirement but also as a symbol of trust, quality, and cleanliness. However, in minority Muslim communities such as in Candikuning Village, Bedugul, Bali, challenges arise in ensuring the halalness of daily consumption amidst the dominance of non-Muslim business operators. This study aims to understand how the Muslim community in Candikuning Village interprets the halal label, both in its formal form (MUI certification) and symbolic form (Islamic identity of food stalls), and how these perceptions influence their consumption decisions. This research uses a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods. An ethnographic approach is used to explore the meaning behind halal consumption practices within the local socio-cultural context. The findings are expected to contribute conceptually to the study of Muslim consumer behavior and serve as a foundation for business actors and certification bodies in formulating more contextual and inclusive halal labeling and education strategies, particularly in multicultural regions such as Bali. This research employs a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods to explore perceptions of the halal label in the consumption practices of the Muslim minority in Candikuning Village, Bali. The results show that the Muslim community in Candikuning interprets the halal label not only as a religious requirement but also as a symbol of trust, cleanliness, and moral responsibility. Both official halal labels and informal Islamic symbols are used as consumption guidelines, reflecting religious awareness and caution in a multicultural environment.

Abstract

The phenomenon of the "prestige trap" has become a crucial issue among Indonesian graduates, where the unemployment rate of college graduates reached 5.18% in 2023. This study aims to develop a career counseling model to address the prestige dilemma faced by graduates in career decision-making. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a Research and Development (R&D) design model of Borg & Gall. Participants consisted of 14 informants who were graduates and 3 professional career counselors. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), then analyzed using thematic analysis, discourse analysis, and Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). The results identified five main themes: discrepancy between academic identity and job market reality, pressure from family expectations (92.9%), social stigma towards certain jobs, internal conflict between economic needs and self-esteem (100%), and limited career knowledge. Based on these findings, the Integrated Career Counseling Model to Address the Prestige Dilemma (CCMPD) was developed, consisting of seven phases: assessment, cognitive restructuring, narrative reconstruction, family and social integration, practical career exploration, resilience building, and follow-up. The model has been validated by experts with a relevance score of 4.67/5.00 and a comprehensiveness score of 4.83/5.00. This research provides a practical contribution in the form of a culturally responsive counseling framework to help graduates reconstruct the meaning of work and make more adaptive and realistic career decisions.
