Abstract

Abu al-Hasan Ali an-Nadwi seorang ulama dan tokoh cendekia India yang mendunia dengan berbagai karya intelektualnya akan tetap menjadi bahan studi para pemikir pendidikan saat ini. Melalui kitab Ash-Shira’ baina al-Fikrah al-Islamiyah wa al-Fikrah al-Gharbiyyah, Abu al-Hasan Ali an-Nadwi menyampaikan kritik atas serangan pendidikan yang hembuskan ke negeri-negeri Islam. Pengaruh negatif Barat ini kian meluas dan menjalar ke penjuru negeri-negeri Islam. Sehingga satu-satunya jalan bagi umat Islam adalah membebaskan diri dari cengkraman sistem pendidikan sekular secara total. Dengan demikian an-Nadwi menentang sekularisasi dan memperjuangkan pendidikan ruhani pada segenap aspek. Dalam menggapai kemajuan peradaban umat Islam ini ia berpendapat agar tidak ada dikotomi dalam ilmu, untuk itu integrasi pendidikan Islam dan umum harus harus dilakukan dengan jalan memadukan keimanan dengan sain teknologi. Penelitian ini merupakan kajian atas pemikiran pendidikan an-Nadwi, dengan pendekatan studi kepustakaan (library research).

Abstract

This article analyses the educational thought of Abu Al-Hasan Ali Al-Nadwi (d. 1999 A.D.). The study aimed to determine the concept of the Sirah education curriculum at the junior high school level, according to Abu Al-Hasan Ali Al-Nadwi. This type of research is categorized as library research, with data obtained from Al-Nadwi's books relating to Sirah and education in particular such as Al-Tarîq ilâ al-Madînah; Sîrah Khâtim al-Nabiyîn li al-Atfâl; Al-Sîrah Al-Nabawiyyah; Muslims in the West, Message, and Mission. The methods used in this study are descriptive research, qualitative research, and basic research. Based on the study results, two main thoughts about Sirah's education were found. First, the continuity of Sirah Education is essential, which means that Sirah education is taught for all generations. Furthermore, Sirah education means integrating Sirah education in subjects, especially religious aspects. The author's findings on the concept of the Sirah education curriculum at the junior high school level, according to Abu Al-Hasan Ali Al-Nadwi, are a set of objectives, programs, processes, and evaluations of Sirah education up to the junior high school level that can be given from class VII to grade IX junior high school. With the existence of Sirah Education, which aims to make the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam an example for junior high school students, it is hoped that it can shape the Islamic personality of students at the junior high school level and give birth to Akhlaq al Karimah based on Tawhid.

Abstract

Pendidik profesional adalah bagian yang penting dalam pendidikan. Demikian pula pada sistem pendidikan Islam. Artikel ini yang menekankan pada pentingnya perpaduan antara kompetensi pedagogis dan nilai-nilai keislaman dalam pembentukan seorang guru. Dalam perspektif Islam, profesionalisme seorang pendidik tidak hanya ditentukan oleh kemampuan akademik, tetapi juga oleh kualitas moral, spiritual, dan komitmen terhadap tugas sebagai bentuk ibadah. Artikel ini menjelaskan karakteristik guru profesional dalam Islam, yang meliputi keikhlasan, tanggung jawab, komitmen pada pembelajaran berkelanjutan, serta peran penting dalam membimbing dan membentuk karakter peserta didik secara holistik. Melalui analisis terhadap literatur keislaman dan teori pendidikan, artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa guru yang profesional dalam sistem pendidikan Islam adalah mereka yang berusaha mengintegrasikan keahlian mengajar dengan etika Islam, sehingga mampu membentuk generasi yang tidak hanya cerdas secara intelektual, tetapi juga berakhlak mulia. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pendidikan Islam mendukung profesionalitas guru yang holistik, yang berdampak positif bagi kualitas pendidikan dan pengembangan karakter peserta didik.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the curriculum of Islamic cultural history subjects class VII MTs Al Imam Cikembar Sukabumi. This research uses a qualitative approach and a literature study method. Based on the results of the discussion, the curriculum of the Islamic Cultural History class VII MTs from the aspect of purpose is in accordance with the objectives of MTs nationally, but is not in accordance with the objectives of the MTs Al-Imam institution which emphasizes more on developing the potential of students individually only. In the aspect of teaching materials, the scope of the subject of Islamic Cultural History class VII MTs is the same as the scope of the subject of Islamic Cultural History of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. In the sequence of teaching materials of SKI class VII MTs is ideal, according to the facts, there is no continuity of teaching material, what happens is the deepening of the teaching material. Mayoritas, keseimbangan dalam aspek isi sudah ideal. In the majority, the balance in the content aspect is already ideal. From the syllabus, it reads that learning strategies tend to be monotonous and still teacher centers. Meanwhile, in the assessment aspect, teachers include all types of assessments.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the history of Islamic civilization in the perspective of Ibn Kathir. Using the literature study method, the researcher found that Ibn Kathir is a superior scholar who earned the title of Al-Hāfidzh, Al-Muhaddits, Al-Fāqih, Al-Mu'arrikh and Al-Mufassir with amazing works. Through his historical works, Ibn Kathir indirectly established a methodology for reconstructing historical events starting from collecting sources of history, criticizing sources with hadith science, interpretation and writing represented by nuqil. As for when Ibn Kathir compiled the book Al-Bidāyah wa an-Nihāyah, he compiled it with a distinctive periodization so as to avoid us from the view that the time of the Prophet ﷺ was a classic or ancient period. The glory of Islamic civilization that was built from the time of the Prophet ﷺ can be repeated by retracing the steps as exemplified by the Prophet and the Sahabat. Because the steps of the Prophet ﷺ in building civilization are steps guided by revelation, this book of revelation is a valuable legacy for the reconstruction of Islamic civilization in the future. The civilization that materializes is not a patchwork civilization but a distinctive civilization that is able to create an Islamic society.

Abstract

The background of this study is the moral degradation of adolescents, especially due to promiscuity. This could lead Indonesia to a state of “promiscuity emergency.” This is due to the absence of a social system that regulates socializing or interaction between men and women, whether in the family, school, or community. Especially in schools, systems or rules that regulate interaction between men and women are only implemented in a small number of Islamic schools. The purpose of this research is to analyze the strategy of implementing the concept of sex-based separation according to Ibn Sahnun at the secondary education level. This research is categorized as library research with data obtained from books related to Ibn Sahnun's thoughts, particularly Adaab al Mu'allimin. The method used in this research is descriptive research based on its purpose, qualitative research based on its process, and basic research based on the expected research results. Through this research, four things related to the concept of gender-based separation according to Ibn Sahnun were found. First, Islam as a perfect religion has provided a system of life that is able to protect the intellect and honor of men and women. Second, history shows that throughout the ages, caliphs from any dynasty, especially those ruling in Africa, have applied the concept of gender-based segregation in their educational systems. Third, modern research, whether conducted by Islamic or non-Islamic schools, indicates that the application of the concept of gender segregation can enhance the quality of learning. Fourth, strategies for implementing the concept of gender-based segregation must be carried out systematically and integrally.

Abstract

Indonesia as a country with the largest Muslim population in the world does not necessarily make it an Islamic society (Al-Mujtama' al Islami). This is because the living system that oversees it is not an Islamic system or rule. Secularism and capitalism are still the spirit in making various laws and regulations. So that the feelings and thoughts that are born and appear are liberal feelings and thoughts. The purpose of this study is to find the concept of Al-Quran education Surah An-Nahl verse 112 in shaping Islamic society. With the literature study method, researchers found the foundation of this education is Islam. The goal is to form a society that obeys, hastens and accepts Islamic law in total. So that the security and prosperity of Islam are bestowed by Allah for them. This goal must be supported by the application of Islamic law by the state, unity based on Islamic aqidah, enforcement of amar ma'ruf nahyi munkar and legal sanctions that make deterrent and atone for sins.

Abstract

This research aims to formulate a curriculum concept for Islamic Religious Education based on minority fiqh at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) level. The subjects of this research are Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Imam Cikembar in Sukabumi Regency. This research is categorized as a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation. The study found that the concept of the Islamic Religious Education curriculum for minority Muslims is directed towards building harmonious relationships with followers of other religions. The teaching strategy emphasizes the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) method, making students more responsive to the reality of diversity. The evaluation focuses on assessing the understanding and affective aspects of positive behavior within the plurality of society.
