Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan salah satu aspek kritikal dalam pembentukan karakter dan kecerdasan anak. Proses pendidikan tidak hanya melibatkan transfer ilmu pengetahuan tetapi juga pengembangan sosial dan emosional siswa. Penelitian ini mengkaji isu terkait pentingnya pemahaman dinamika psikologi anak dalam proses pendidikan untuk meningkatkan keefektifan pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana pengalaman mengajar dapat mempengaruhi pemahaman dan penerapan teori psikologi anak oleh calon guru sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi kasus pengalaman mengajar yang mencakup observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan pengajaran yang mempertimbangkan kebutuhan psikologis individu siswa dapat secara signifikan meningkatkan interaksi dan hasil pembelajaran. Kontribusi utama dari penelitian ini adalah penggarisan pentingnya integrasi pengalaman praktik mengajar dalam pendidikan guru, yang mendukung penerapan teori psikologi anak. Education is one of the critical aspects in shaping children's character and intelligence. The educational process involves not only the transfer of knowledge but also the social and emotional development of students. This research examines issues related to the importance of understanding the dynamics of child psychology in the educational process to improve the effectiveness of learning in elementary schools. The aim is to explore how teaching experience can influence the understanding and application of child psychology theories by prospective primary school teachers. The research method used was a qualitative approach through a case study of teaching experiences that included observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The results showed that a teaching approach that considers students' individual psychological needs can significantly improve learning interactions and outcomes. The main contribution of this research is the outlining of the importance of integrating teaching practice experiences in teacher education, which supports the application of child psychology theory.

Abstract

Dinamika interaksi antara guru dan siswa dengan berbagai karakteristik, serta bagaimana nilai spiritual diintegrasikan dalam pendidikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami lebih dalam tentang praktik pengajaran yang efektif di sekolah dasar dan memberikan rekomendasi untuk peningkatan kualitas pendidikan guru. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif, di mana data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung, wawancara, dan refleksi pribadi selama periode praktik lapangan. Sumber data utama adalah catatan harian, refleksi kegiatan mengajar, dan tanggapan dari guru serta siswa di MI An-Nahdliyin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesabaran, empati, dan keberanian adalah kualitas penting yang harus dikembangkan oleh calon guru dalam menghadapi berbagai tantangan pengajaran. Selain itu, penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pendekatan pendidikan yang holistik dengan memperhatikan aspek spiritual serta akademik dalam pengajaran. The dynamics of interaction between teachers and students with various characteristics, as well as how spiritual values are integrated in education. The purpose of this study is to understand more about effective teaching practices in primary schools and provide recommendations for improving the quality of teacher education. The method used was a case study with a qualitative approach, where data were collected through direct observation, interviews and personal reflection during the field practice period. The main data sources were daily notes, reflections on teaching activities, and responses from teachers and students at MI An-Nahdliyin. The results showed that patience, empathy, and courage are important qualities that prospective teachers should develop in facing various teaching challenges. In addition, this study emphasizes the importance of a holistic approach to education by paying attention to spiritual as well as academic aspects of teaching.

Abstract

Pendidikan matematika merupakan aspek penting dalam perkembangan akademik siswa di Madrasah Ibtidaiyyah An Nahdliyin. Pendekatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengalaman belajar yang menarik dan interaktif bagi siswa kelas tartil I kelas tartil Madrasah Ibtidaiyyah An Nahdliyin. Model pembelajaran ini menekankan penggunaan beragam indera siswa dalam proses belajar, sehingga informasi dapat diserap dengan lebih baik. Pendekatan multisensori menunjukkan antusiasme dan keterlibatan yang lebih tinggi dalam proses pembelajaran. Temuan ini mendukung teori bahwa penggunaan berbagai modalitas indera dalam pembelajaran dapat memperkuat pemahaman dan retensi informasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan upaya-upaya kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pengelolaan kurikulum, yang dapat menjadi acuan dalam merancang strategi pengembangan kurikulum yang efektif. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi yang berarti bagi peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran matematika di tingkat pendidikan dasar dan dapat menjadi acuan bagi inovasi metode pembelajaran di masa depan.Mathematics education is an important aspect in the academic development of students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyyah An Nahdliyin. This approach aims to provide an interesting and interactive learning experience for Tartil I class students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyyah An Nahdliyin. This learning model emphasizes the use of students' various senses in the learning process, so that information can be absorbed better. A multisensory approach shows higher enthusiasm and involvement in the learning process. These findings support the theory that the use of multiple sensory modalities in learning can strengthen understanding and retention of information. The results of this research show the efforts of madrasah heads to improve curriculum management skills, which can be a reference in designing effective curriculum development strategies. It is hoped that the results of this research can make a significant contribution to improving the quality of mathematics learning at the basic education level and can become a reference for innovative learning methods in the future.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengevaluasi efektivitas metode peer teaching dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mengajar calon guru, mengingat pentingnya pengembangan keterampilan ini untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang efektif. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengidentifikasi efektivitas metode peer teaching dalam berbagai aspek keterampilan mengajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode peer teaching secara signifikan meningkatkan keterampilan mengajar, termasuk pengelolaan kelas, teknik pengajaran, dan interaksi dengan siswa, serta meningkatkan kepercayaan diri calon guru. Novelty dari penelitian ini terletak pada konfirmasi efektivitas metode peer teaching dalam konteks pendidikan guru di Indonesia. Kontribusi penelitian ini memberikan dasar untuk integrasi metode peer teaching dalam kurikulum pelatihan guru, yang dapat berdampak positif pada kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia.   This research evaluates the effectiveness of the peer teaching method in improving the teaching skills of prospective teachers, considering the importance of developing these skills to create effective learning. The aim of the research is to identify the effectiveness of the peer teaching method in various aspects of teaching skills. The research results show that the peer teaching method significantly improves teaching skills, including classroom management, teaching techniques, and interaction with students, as well as increasing the self-confidence of prospective teachers. The novelty of this research lies in confirming the effectiveness of the peer teaching method in the context of teacher education in Indonesia. This research contribution provides a basis for the integration of peer teaching methods in teacher training curricula, which can have a positive impact on the quality of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Pembelajaran berbasis proyek merupakan pendekatan yang mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kolaboratif di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas pembelajaran berbasis proyek dalam meningkatkan kolaborasi antar siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah tinjauan literatur sistematis dari berbagai studi terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang terlibat dalam pembelajaran berbasis proyek menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan sosial, berpikir kritis, dan motivasi belajar. Selain itu, guru melaporkan kemudahan dalam pengelolaan kelas dan peningkatan dinamika kelompok. Kontribusi penelitian ini adalah memberikan bukti empiris tentang manfaat pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan mendorong implementasinya dalam kurikulum sekolah dasar.   Project-based learning is an approach that can increase student involvement and create a collaborative learning environment in elementary schools. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of project-based learning in increasing collaboration between students. The research method used is a systematic literature review of various related studies. The results showed that students who engaged in project-based learning showed significant improvements in social skills, critical thinking, and learning motivation. Additionally, teachers reported ease in classroom management and improved group dynamics. The contribution of this research is to provide empirical evidence about the benefits of project-based learning and encourage its implementation in the elementary school curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the error on descriptive text written by seventh C grader in SMPN 1 Porong and to identify the causes of error. The research method of this research is descriptive qualitative method. The researcher used interactive model by Miles and Huberman that consists of three steps, they are; data condensation, data display, and drawing verifying conclusions. The researcher used the document observation sheet and questionnaire form as the instrument of this research. The researcher only selected 20 descriptive texts written by the students. Based on the research finding, it can be concluded that the students produced error on their descriptive texts. The highest error is miss-formation error (48,87%) because the students lack on writing practice. The researcher found the causes of error from the questionnaire is communication strategy-based error as 50% because the students get misunderstanding in receiving descriptive text material from the teacher's explanation. The teacher should change the method in the teaching process to help the students understand descriptive text well. For the next researcher, this research can be a reference for error analysis on other English skills.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to investigate the implementation of the Multiliteracy Pedagogy approach promoted by the New London Group (1996) in raising gender awareness through The Secret Life of Bees movie, which was adapted from Sue Monk Kidd's novel of the same name (2001). The participants of this research are seventeen fifth semester English Education students and an English lecturer. Using qualitative data from observation and an online questionnaire. The findings revealed that through The Secret Life of Bees, the four elements of Multiliteracies Pedagogy are well implemented in the classroom, which in turn could raise the students’ awareness in relation to gender issues. The learning activities in each element of multiliteracies pedagogy provides the students not only the situation to experience the issue but also the discussion and other learning activities which invite them to critically explore their ideas about gender issues. It shows that multiliteracies pedagogy which is meaningful in raising gender awareness. The students give positive responses toward the use of multiliteracies pedagogy to raise gender awareness as seen from the result of the questionnaire that the students are excited, comfortable, and confident in sharing their critical ideas regarding gender issues after watching the movie. KEYWORDS: Multiliteracy Pedagogy; Gender Awareness; The Secret Life of Bees   ABSTRAK Dalam proses pembelajaran pendidik seharusnya dapat membawa karya sastra sebagai materi ajar yang disesuaikan dengan konsep pengajaran abad ke 21. Penerapan pendekatan Pedagogi Multiliterasi (Multiliteracies Pedagogy) yang digagas pertama kali oleh New London Group (1996) melalui film The Secret Life of Bees  untuk membangun kesadaran gender yang diadopsi dari sebuah novel dengan judul yang sama karya Sue Monk Kidd (2001). Subjek penelitian ini adalah tujuh belas mahasiswa semester lima pada program studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris. Peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk menganalisis data hasil observasi dan kuesioner. Peneliti menerapkan pendekatan Multiliteracies Pedagogy yang terdiri dari empat aspek, yaitu; a) situated practice, b) overt instruction, c) critical framing, dan d) transformed practice. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan aktifitas pembelajaran yang merefleksikan empat aspek pedagogi multiliterasi  tersebut dalam membangun kesadaran gender menggunakan film The Secret Life of Bees. Selain itu, mahasiswa memberikan respon positif terkait penggunaan pedagogi multiliterasi untuk membangun kesadaran gender melalui film The Secret Life of Bees. Abstract

Learning media has an important role in this era due to advancements in technology that have transformed the way we learn and access information. The aims of this research are: 1) To describe the process of developing animated video integrated with Sidoarjo local wisdom for teaching descriptive text. 2) To describe the product development of animated video integrated with Sidoarjo local wisdom for teaching descriptive text. 3) To determine the implementation of the development of animated video integrated with Sidoarjo local wisdom for teaching descriptive text. 4) To determine students' responses to the development of animated video integrated with Sidoarjo local wisdom for teaching descriptive text. The research design used in this study is development research, and the ADDIE model was employed for the research procedure. Questionnaires and documentation were used for data collection. The result of the research is an animated video media integrated with Sidoarjo local wisdom received high percentage from media experts gave it a 93% rating, while material experts rated it at 100%, both classified as excellent. Furthermore, the student response to the animated video was positive, with students expressing their interest in using this learning media for descriptive text. In conclusion, the animated video can effectively be used to teach descriptive text in seventh-grade and provides them with insight into the cultural of Sidoarjo.

Abstract

Pandemi covid-19 yang terjadi di Indonesia telah merenggut banyak korban. Untuk mengurangi penyebaran virus covid-19 pemerintah telah menyarankan kepada masyarakat untuk meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh, salah satunya melalui pemanfaatan tanaman obat keluarga (TOGA). Potensi TOGA sebagai imunomodulator telah disosialisasikan di lingkungan Kecamatan Tanggulangin, salah satunya di Desa Kalidawir. Kalidawir merupakan salah satu kelurahan di Kecamatan Tanggulangin yang mempunyai potensi untuk mengelola TOGA. Salah satu usaha yang dilaksanakan oleh tim PKK desa Kalidawir yaitu mensosialisasikan TOGA melalui pembuatan buku resep olahan TOGA menjadi berbagai olahan pangan. Tetapi tim PKK Desa Kalidawir mengalami kesulitan untuk membuat buku resep tersebut karena keterbatasan sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang ada di Desa Kalidawir. Oleh karena itu pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan di Desa Kalidawir bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku resep olahan TOGA. Metode yang digunakan dalam proses pengembangan adalah ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Tetapi pada pengabdian masyarakat ini, hanya dilakukan tiga tahapan yaitu Analysis, Design, dan Development. Instrument pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara dan angket. Teknik wawancara dilakukan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan tim PKK Desa Kalidawir. Pada tahap design pengabdi menggunakan Adobe Illustrator dan Paint Tool Sai. Pada tahap development pengabdi melakukan proses validasi produk kepada ahli design visual dan mendapatkan hasil bahwa buku resep olahan TOGA layak digunakan oleh masyarakat khususnya Desa Kalidawir. The Covid-19 pandemic that occurred in Indonesia has claimed many victims. To reduce the spread of the Covid-19 virus, the government has advised the public to increase their immune system, one of which is through the use of family medicinal plants (TOGA). The potential of TOGA as an immunomodulator has been socialized in the Tanggulangin Subdistrict, one of which is in Kalidawir Village. Kalidawir is one of the sub-districts in Tanggulangin District that has the potential to manage TOGA. One of the efforts carried out by the PKK team in Kalidawir village was to socialize toga by making a recipe book for processing TOGA into various food preparations. However, the Kalidawir Village PKK team had difficulty making the recipe book due to limited human resources (HR) in Kalidawir Village. Therefore, the community service carried out in Kalidawir Village aims to develop a TOGA recipe book. The method used in the development process is ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). But in this community service, only three stages are carried out, namely Analysis, Design, and Development. The data collection instruments used were interviews and questionnaires. The interview technique was conducted to analyze the needs of the Kalidawir Village PKK team. At the design stage, the servant uses Adobe Illustrator and the Paint Tool Sai. At the development stage, the servant carries out a product validation process with visual design experts and gets the result that the TOGA recipe book is suitable for use by the community, especially Kalidawir Village.

Abstract

Beberapa siswa masih belum mampu berbicara dan memahami teks dan menulis dalam bahasa Inggris akibat siswa belum terbiasa membawa kamus. Kamus berbasis korpus dapat membantu siswa dalam akses belajar bahasa Inggris. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan kamus kosakata bahasa Inggris berbasis korpus. Obyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas 8 dan guru bahasa di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Al Manshur, Sidoarjo. Penelitian pengembangan pendidikan ini menggunakan model ADDIE. Penelitian melakukan uji kelayakan kamus berbasis korpus menggunakan validasi dari ahli desain, ahli materi, dan ahli bahasa dengan instrumen pengumpulan data angket respon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pendapat ahli desain dengan skor 92% sebagai kriteria sangat baik. Hasil validasi materi memperoleh skor 96% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Hasil validasi kebahasaan mencapai skor 85% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Siswa dan guru merespon sangat tertarik terlihat dari skor 100%. Some students are still unable to speak and understand texts and write in English because students are not used to carrying dictionaries. Corpus-based dictionaries can help students access English learning. This research aims to develop a corpus-based English vocabulary dictionary. The research objects were grade 8 students and language teachers at Al Manshur Junior High School, Sidoarjo. This educational development research uses the ADDIE model. The study conducted a feasibility test for a corpus-based dictionary using validation from design experts, material experts, and language experts with a response questionnaire data collection instrument. The research results show the opinion of design experts with a score of 92%, a very good criterion. The material validation results obtained a score of 96%, a very good standard. The linguistic validation results achieved a score of 85%, a very good criterion. Students and teachers responded very interested, as seen from the score of 100%.
