Abstract

This community service project is based on the partner's need for the development of tourist attractions for the Grama Tirta Tourism Village in Toyomarto Singosari. The development of tourist attractions is directed at developing creative craft spot designs to strengthen the capacity of Toyomarto Village as a tourism village. Therefore, this community service project aims to develop creative craft spot designs and create creative craft spots in collaboration with the Toyomarto Village Government. The methods used to achieve this objective include surveys and observations as preliminary studies, followed by focus group discussions (FGD) with relevant parties (the village, expert team, and service project team) to formulate the design of creative handicraft spots, determine the appropriate location, and agree on various technical aspects related to the creation of creative handicraft spots. Finally, the project concluded with a symbolic handover and evaluation of the creative craft spot. The outputs of this community service project include an article on the project's findings and a documentary video/news report in the media.

Abstract

Tourist spots in Toyomarto Village, Singosari District, Malang Regency need to be introduced to tourists. One tourism promotion strategy can be implemented by providing directional signage and information boards for these tourist locations. The signage and information boards are designed with high artistic quality and highlight the local characteristics and unique features of the tourist spots. This community service initiative is carried out with three objectives: (1) to document tourist spots, including archaeological sites, natural attractions, and traditional craft villages, as part of landscape planning efforts to integrate information; (2) to design directional signage and informational texts with artistic flair and local characteristics of the tourist spots; (3) to create and install these directional and informational signs in strategic locations within the tourist spot areas. The installation of these directional signs and information boards is expected to support tourism promotion efforts in Toyomarto Village, Singosari District, Malang Regency. This community service activity was carried out in collaboration with the Malang Regency Tourism Office, the Malang Regency Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Office, the Toyomarto Village Government, the Tourism Working Group, and micro-industry stakeholders. The results of the community service initiative indicate that there are seven key locations required for Phase I, specifically in the Pentungan Sari Tourism Area. These signs are focused on the following spots: gate (1 signboard), hall (2 signboards), swimming pool (2 signboards), toilet (1 signboard), café (1 signboard), and therapeutic fish pond (1 signboard).

Abstract

Menulis merupakan keterampilan yang harus dikuasai oleh mahasiswa. Keterampilan berbahasa ini berguna untuk menulis skripsi sebagai tugas akhir mahasiswa dalam meraih gelar sarjana (magister dan atau doktor). Dalam penulisan skripsi, ejaan, dan kalimat yang digunakan merupakan kalimat yang baku dan efektif agar pembaca mudah memahami maksud penulis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan menulis ejaan, peristilahan, dan kesalahan menulis kalimat pada skripsi mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Universitas Brawijaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualiatif dengan rancangan studi kasus untuk memperoleh deskripsi data. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkap bahwa kesalahan berbahasa yang paling banyak ditemukan, yaitu kesalahan ejaan yang digunakan oleh mahasiswa dalam skripsi. Kesalahan ejaan tersebut berupa pemakaian tanda baca sebanyak 52,03%, penulisan kata 39,53%, dan penulisan huruf 0,08%, sedangkan kesalahan penulisan kalimat ditemukan pada aspek ketidaksepadanan struktur, ketidakhematan, ketidakcermatan, ketidakpaduan, ketidakparalelan, dan ketidaklogisan dalam kalimat.
